ECFL 7

265lb Doug Glatt v Mike Poullart

Having suffered defeats in their previous bouts both of these fighters should be hungry for the win and it could turn out to be a regular slugfest.

Doug "The Thug" Glatt holds a considerable height and weight advantage, over 50lbs of natural weight, and the five second KO in his first fight attests to the fact that he can pack a punch.

Mike Poullart is definately not to be discounted though, despite still looking for his first victory he has the edge with his boxing and will intend to use it....a good stand up fight all round I think.

185lb Alex Smith v Alexander Khrepchenko

This pairing is looking like a grudge building for the future with the more experienced Khrepcenko defeating Smith in his debut at ECFL 4 by unanimous decision.

Both of these fighters will have learnt from the last bout and it will be interesting to see if it stays standing where Smith should take the lead or hits the floor where Khrepchenko has the definate advantage with his combined wrestling and BJJ skills.

155lb Theodore Glatt v Nikolai Sawler

Not much to seperate these two fighters sizewise, the difference here is going to be whether Glatt can keep it on the feet where he can use his good striking and strong chin to good effect, Sawler on the other hand with his experience and superior ground game may be thinking otherwise.

155lb Samuel Victor v Benoit Jutras

This one has a floor match written all over it, Victor still looking for his first win after 2 losses by submission will no doubt have been training hard in that area and Jutras has shown his ability with wrestling in previous matches. Could just be a case of who gets to it first.

170lb Franklin Winter v Mickeal Growling

With 3 wins and no losses to his name "Beast" Winter will be riding high and a hard man to beat, showing strong wrestling and winning 2 of the 3 with submission holds.

"Explosive" Growling might well have the skills to meet this threat on the ground head on if needed but will be looking at showing off his swift hands.

170lb Awesome McBadass v Daisuke Takemura

McBadass still looking for a win here, will he find it against "Duke" Takemura who convincingly felled his opponent in his debut bout with floor strikes.

This should be an entertaining wrestling match from start to finish.

185lb Spontaneous Combustion v Martin Kampemann

With a record of 1 and 1 so far "The Firestarter" Spontanious Combustion put on a great show for the crowd with his last against Gothem Reckoning, a great amount of blows in both standup areas coupled with some good defense on the ground netted him the decision and marks him as a potentially dangerous adversary for "reel Steel" Kampemann.

"Real Steel" has a great deal of experience and is a solid all-rounder which is bound to put some pressure on "the Firestarter.

With both Fighters having a history of going the distance this is bound to be an entertaining match-up for all those viewing.

265lb Randall Wallace v Achilles Nikolopoulos

Wallace has one bout one win under his belt and will be looking to add to that with his strong Muay Thai and good all round ground game against Achilles "The Knife" Nikolopoulos where he has a massive 45cm height advantage whilst dropping 30lbs to his opponent.

For his part "The Knife", standing at a mere 150cm and weighing in at a huge 265lbs, will be determined not to give way in his apparant mission to submit his way to glory. 5 wins in 5 fights and each one submitted, this fighter is definitely looking to make his name as a feared BJJ practitioner but will the extra reach of Wallace hinder his intentions?

185lb Freddy Baxter v Vik Vaughn

Baxter has one fight with a 1st round KO behind him showcasing his boxing capabilities and will be going into this fight cautiously I'm sure as his opponant Vik "Doom" Vaughn is a talented wrestler and groundfighter.

Of "Dooms" 3 fights he notched up a submission and a TKO, only losing in his first when the match went the distance. His ground capabilities seem clear as are his preferences to finish the fight early.

A good first Title defence for Doom and an exciting match to watch.

170lb Ashton Cryer v Leon DeLaurier

A Rematch for these two with the added bonus of a Title on the line. Cryers only defeat so far coming at the hands of "Neon" Leon Delaurier the last time they met so the blood will be running high this time.

Hitting the ground early and staying there for almost the entire fight last time these two struggled there way around the cage, each specialising in different forms of groundwork, I'm sure we'll see much of the same this time round.
