Preliminary Bout Number 1- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Ramiro "Superman" Cienfuegos (1-3) {1-2} versus Matt "The Immortal " Brown (0-0) {0-0}

Let’s all take a second and give a big pat on the back to Ramiro as he got off the losing streak and got his first win in his professional career. Now if he can get a win tonight he will be on his first winning streak and I am sure he would love nothing more to win two in a row. The only way he will be able to do this is if he does not strike with Brown. He may have got a big win in his last bout because of striking but from what I hear Brown is a far better striker. Brown has the striking down and I also hear he is working on his wrestling and Jiu Jitsu so he can be a double threat. In this fight he needs to forget the Jiu Jitsu and concentrate on keeping this fight standing, and then he can show off his skills against Ramiro. I am going to pick Brown to win this fight by TKO in the first round as I don’t think Ramiro will try and take this to the mat.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Super Heavyweight Fight (265+)

War Machine (1-0) {0-0} versus Sa "Coração De Leão" Pinto (1-1) {0-1}

War Machine makes his debut in Barbarian Fight Club and he is looking to make an impression. With all the title tournaments this is the time in any division to make a big splash. Weeks ago it seemed Barbarian Fight Club was just about done with the super heavyweight division but there has been resurgence to that division and Machine would love to get a big win. To get that win he will need to get this fight to the ground where he can ground and pound his way to victory. Pinto does have some experience wrestling and has a little Jiu Jitsu training but his strength is in the stand up. He is a Muay Thai striker with good power, and he will want to get a quick knock out before Machine can put him on his back. I think War Machine will get a win as he will be able to keep the fight on the ground for the most part, and I see him riding that to a decision win.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Bob "Ghost Face" Dutra (1-1) {0-1} versus Chris Weidman (1-1) {0-1}

Both of these fighter are one and one, they both have had one fight in Barbarian Fight Club, they both loss their debut, and they are both coming off loses. Dutra is a wrestler and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and he will want to get this fight down to the mat. From there he will work as hard has he can to attain a position in which he can start looking for a submission and if that happens Weidman will not last very long. Chris Weidman is a boxer and a wrestler who should use his wrestling background to keep this fight standing. I think Dutra does get the takedown and submission and I see it happening early in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Pedro "Quick Sand " Alvarez (1-0) {0-0} versus Yank "The Brander" Lewis (2-1) {2-0}

This should be a good fight with two fighters who are very close in style. Both of these guys can stand and bang but I give a slight edge to Lewis in this department. Both of these guys can grapple as well, I think Lewis is slightly a better wrestler, while we all know that Alvarez has an advantage in Jiu Jitsu. If the fight goes to the mat I think Alvarez can win some serous points, but I don’t think he will be able to finish Lewis. On the other hand if it stays standing I see Lewis outscoring Alvarez, and maybe even getting the finish, I belive some of this fight will be on the mat but in the third round I see Lewis getting the TKO win.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Georgie "Twinkletoes" Chapman (2-1) {1-0} versus Janusz "Rzepa" Wiesiek (2-1) {1-1)

Chapman has an advantage in this fight. I think he is the more skilled fighter and the better-rounded fighter. He has amazing wrestling mixed in with some decent stand up. If the fight stays standing Twinkletoes should not have a problem edging out a decision win. Unfortunately for Chapman his strength comes from wrestling and if he puts Wiesiek on his back then he could be in more trouble than not. Wiesiek is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and if Chapman makes the mistake of taking the fight to the ground Janusz should be able to submit him. I think Chapman will be smart and keep the fight standing until he knows it’s time to finish, then he will score the take down and pound Wiesiek until we get a stoppage. I got Chapman winning in the second round by TKO.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Howard "Engineer" Holowitz (2-1) {2-1} versus Brahma "Beer Master" Cervejinha (1-1) {1-0}

Holowitz is going to try and use his wrestling to keep this fight on the mat. Brahma is a better striker so Howard will need to make this into a grappling battle nice and early. Holowitz has done a good job in the past of bringing the fight to the ground, but he has also been finished by TKO. Brahma needs to mix up his strikes and keep Howard off balance to avoid the takedowns. If Brahma allows the takedown to happen then he will be in a world of trouble, so it’s going o be all about getting the leg kicks working early. I think Brahma might be able to keep Holowitz at bay for a while, but not the entire time and I have Holowitz winning in the second round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Roberts "White Bear" Junior (2-1) {2-0} versus Damian "Dami" Silva (3-1) {2-1}

Both of these fighters have been impressive in their Barbarian Fight Club fights so far. These two are also trying to move up the ladder in the middleweight division and so far both are doing a great job. Silva has slightly better stand up than Junior but it’s not over whelming enough to think Silva can win this fight striking. Junior is a better wrestler and he has a higher rank in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so the ground advantage goes to him. With that being said, and knowing both of these guys are grapplers it is safe to say Junior will win this fight, and I think it is by submission in the third round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Dj Paul (5-1) {1-1} versus Jerome "Machine" Lebanner (2-2) {2-2}

Paul is a strait up ground fighter and if he can’t get the fight to the ground we have all seen the results. Paul could have some trouble getting Jerome to the floor, but that will not stop him from trying. Since he has little to no striking game I think he will need to go all out with take down attempts until he gets one. LeBanner can handle himself standing up as he is well traind in Muay Thai, and he also has a little wrestling which will help him keep the fight standing. If he can clinch with Paul and Paul is unable to pull guard quickly he will win the fight right away. I do think that Paul will be able to get a takedown or pull guard and submit Lebanner quickly and I have him winning in the first round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Diego Nunes (4-1) {1-1} versus Bryan "The Organo Natural" Chua (3-0) {3-0}

Nunes should be looking to keep this fight standing as Chua has made quick work out of everyone he has faced. Nunes is more of a wrestler but he has been developing his stand up and now should be the time to test it since he will be overmatched on the ground. Chua has found success in the ground and pound style of MMA and whats not broke should not get fixed. Chua should look for every opportunity to get a takedown and then pound his way to victory. Nunes does know how to take care of himself on the ground but Chua is better and should be able to take care of Nunes in the late part of the first round by TKO.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Lightweight Championship Fight (155lbs)

Pepe "Warner" Lepew (4-0) {3-0} versus Kores "Mibon" Sierra (8-2) {3-1}

Lepew has been impressive so far winning all four of his fights by TKO or knockout. During this four fight win streak Lepew has already defeated Sierra by TKO. That fight ended in just forty three seconds as Lepew was able to overwhelm Sierra. Sierra would like to prove that his loss to Lepew was a fluke and if he can score a takedown or pull guard from the clinch he could pick up the upset victory. I would like to say Sierra has a chance to win, but Lepew has such a good clinch. If Lepew can force Sierra up against the cage before getting the body lock then Sierra will not be able to pull guard. I don’t think Sierra will be able to get this fight to the mat so I am picking Lepew to win by TKO in the first round again.

So there you have it folks I think Lepew becomes the first ever Barbarian Fight Club champion. If he does win the title I would like to see another fight with him and White of course after White gets some work on clinch fighting, and if he doesn’t drop weight and fight at bantamweight. If Sierra wins I think it will leave the division wide open, but I think Sierra has the same chances as a snowball in hell. This has been Tony Rossi with another BFC preview, I will see you all again for the 205lbs finals.
