Wow all I can really say is wow. Wow I lost so much money! Either I am losing my touch or these fights are getting a lot harder to predict. In The Red Sportsbook must be making a killing off of me at the moment. For this event Wednesday Warfare III there where odds on seven fights, I went three and four in those four fights losing close to eight thousand dollars. Oh well no need for you guys to listen to me gripe. Let’s get on to Honor Fighting Championship’s Wednesday Warfare III presented by Meet the Future.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Zack "The Prodigal Son" Young defeats Kortas Kozeris

Just like last time I will underline and italicize the fighter I picked to win. As you can see I did not get off to a good start. I thought Kozeris would get the win in the first round and once the fight started I figured this was money in the bank. Kozeris dominated Young out striking him with ease. He was also able to clinch with Young a few times, but he could not do anything with it. Young did get a late round take down but it was much too late in the round to get a finish or to sway the judges in my opinion and I gave the round to Kozeris 10-9.

The second round looked like a completely different fight. Young got a take down in the opening seconds of the round and then was able to keep Kozeris down for the remainder of the round. Young landed a few nice strikes from the top position and he dumped a few submission attempts on him as well. Kozeris could not do much and the only reason I did not give him an eight for this round was how aggressively he was trying to get up. He did not try to sweep but he was trying to escape as well as defending submissions the best he could. I scored the round for Young 10-9 and I have the fight at 19-19.

The third round both of these warriors knew what was on the line. Kozeris was doing the best he could to finish throwing a few head kicks but still mixing up his strikes. Young was looking for the take down so he could ground and pound or submit Kozeris for the win. Kozeris went for the clinch a few times but when he did get it once again he could not do much with it. With about a minute and half to go Young got a big takedown and I thought to myself he needs to finish as he is losing this round. Well Young must have thought the same thing because he quickly transitioned into full mount and the Kozeris gave up the back. I kept looking at the clock thinking just hold on, just hold on but with only ten seconds left Kozeris taped out to a rear naked choke. Ten more seconds and I think Kozeris gets his had raised by decision, but its Young who is getting his hand raised winning via submission.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Vedran Milosevic defeats Bj "The Prodigy" Penn

This was the shortest fight on the card, it was the shortest fight in Honor Fighting Championship, and it ties the shortest fights in Tycoon history. Milosevic tripped Penn to the ground and he was able to land in side control. Penn quickly started working to get guard back and as he was Milosevic applied a Kimura and Penn was forced to tap. The fight lasted only five seconds and Vedran Milosevic is your winner by submission.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Dmitry Belov defeats Corner "Alley Cat" Bum

After getting my predictions back up to five hundred with a win in the last fight, I am now going back below five hundred with a loss here. I thought Bum would win this by decision but boy was I wrong. Belov got an early take down on Bum and took control of the fight right from the bat. He started dropping bombs and Bum could only last for a few minutes. Belov got mount so quickly I think Bum was shocked. Bum was able to defend a few submissions but he could not avoid the ground and pound and the referee had to call a stop to the fight at 3:21 of the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Chierehdk Cknlaskhr defeats Steve "Cobra" Cox

Cox and Chierehdk both looked out of their games to start the fight off. Cox scored a big take down and I knew this was it. Chierehdk had just won this fight, but that was not the case. Cox was able to stop any attempt by Chierehdk of getting on top or getting up so C double opted for a submission from the bottom that was easily defended. Once Cox defended he started landing strikes from the top and the ref almost stopped the fight. C double got saved by the bell and Cox won the round 10-9.

Both fighters displayed exactly what you should not do in a striking battle to open the second round. Both of these guys threw out lazy strikes and most did not come close to landing. Cox did score another takedown and C double was able to reverse the position and ended up taking Cox’s back. He went for a few rear naked chokes but Cox was able to defend and wiggle back into a top position. The round ended with Cox on top once again. Very hard round to pick a winner but I will give a slight edge to Cox and I now have the fight 20-18 after another 10-9 round by Cox.

Another boring opening to a round until Cox scored another take down. He knew he had the fight in the bag as he was clearly fighting for a decision win. C double was able to reverse positions again as he was able to gain full guard from the top. He did not have much time to finish and Cox knew it, so Cox just wrapped him up and held on. The referee eventually stood both fighters up but there was less than twenty seconds left and the entire building knew Cox won the fight. The buzzer sounds and Cox wins by unanimous decision 30-27 on all three judges’ score cards. For those of us keeping track at home I am now just one and three in predictions.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Dallas "Haneous" Riley defeats Josh Dominguez

This was the fight to end the feud that dated back before there was an Honor Fighting Championship. Both of these guys were talking a lot of trash before the fight which always makes the fight more interesting. The last thing said was Dominguez saying he would hurt Riley, but Riley did not even give him a chance. Riley scored the take down on his second attempt and put Dominguez in an Americana to win the fight by submission at 1:56 of the first round. Thanks to Riley for getting the win and pulling me up to two and three on my predictions.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Bruce Lee defeats Coors "Silver Bullet" Light

I know I was going out on a limb by picking Light to win but I honestly did not think Lee would be able to finish him. Boy was I wrong on that one. Lee was so fast out there landing four punch combos and counter strikes like it was nothing. Light did get a clinch and he attempted to pull guard but Lee defended that well. Lee then landed a big looping left that rocked Light and followed it up with a massive right that ended the fight Lee picked up the win by knockout in under a minute sending my record down to two and four. The knock out came at just :55 seconds of the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Larry "The Time Bomb" Tanaka defeats Felix "The KING" Cruz

Cruz was trying so hard to get a takedown but Tanaka was having no part of it. The first head strike Larry landed opened a cut on Cruz. The second one he landed put Cruz to the floor but Tanaka was smart and did not follow. Tanaka was able to work in some nice strikes after Cruz got back to his feet. Cruz charged in for another takedown but all he got was a fist in the face and a loss by knockout at :51 of the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

"Cold Storm" Markus Vinicius defeats Rickson Bravo

Bravo was trying anything and everything to get the fight to the ground but Markus was doing a great job of defending and making Bravo pay for his troubles. Markus gained a clinch and started whaling on Bravo as Bravo continued to try and get a takedown. Bravo did eventually score the takedown and he went right to work with submission attempts. Vinicius was able to get up after defending the ground well. Back to the feet Markus picked up where he left off dominating with the strikes. Once the two went back to the clinch it got even worse as Markus continued to batter Bravo. When the buzzer sounded it must have been music to Bravo’s ears. I got Markus winning the round 10-9.

The first minute of the second round was full of missed strikes. Markus started dominating once again after the first minute had passed. He was landing everything and it seemed that Bravo was a punching bag. A combination lands from Markus and then a big left that sends Bravo up against the cage. Markus storms in and hits a big cross that ends the fight immediately. Markus Vinicius wins the fight by knockout at 1:24 of the second round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

"The Viking" Agnar Gorm defeats Reginald Leslie

Well I saved a little face with a correct prediction raising my record to three and six. Grom started the fight off with a takedown. From there Leslie looked like a fish out of water. Gorm dominated with strikes from the top. He was just pouring on the ground and pound trying to finish but Leslie is taking it and trying to defend as much as he can. Grom figured out that he was not going to knock out Leslie so he started working the submissions and he finally locked in a rear naked choke and got the submission victory. I am sure if Leslie would have known there was only one second left he would not have tapped but he did and that was the end of the fight.  Agnar Gorm picks up the win by submission at 4:59 of the first round.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

DeMario "McDojo Blackbelt" Williams defeats Craig "Warrior" Wardlaw

It seemed Wardlaw had more of a chance than I was giving him as he opened up the round with a big takedown. Wardlaw winning the round stopped right about there as Williams was able to reverse the position and take the top. Williams poured on the ground and pound landing punches and elbows that where taking a clear toll on Wardlaw. Wardlaw just looked to survive as DeMario was looking to end the fight, but the buzzer sounded and Williams wins the round 10-9 as Wardlaw survives to fight another round.

The second round did not get any better for Wardlaw. Williams outscored Wardlaw with the striking before he took the fight to the clinch. Once in the clinch Williams had to go on the defensive as Wardlaw was trying to get the takedown. Williams did get some strikes in but he then took down Wardlaw and continued the beating from the ground. Wardlaw was covering up the best he could but Williams was landing some nasty shots. I thought Wardlaw was knocked out but he did recover and was able to survive another round. 10-9 for the round and 20-18 for the fight in Williams favor.

Williams spent the first minute and a half of the third round using Wardlaw as a punching bag. He then took Wardlaw back to the ground and he continued the beating. Williams was rearranging Wardlaw’s face, but Wardlaw showed his huge hart as he did everything to survive. You have to give it up for Wardlaw protecting enough to prevent the referee stoppage. When the buzzer sounded everyone in the world knew who the winner was. 10-9 round for Williams and 30-27 for the fight in my opinion. All three judges agree with me, or I agree with them either way Williams is your winner by unanimous decision.

What an exciting fight to end the event. We had a lot of really good fights and a few stinkers. I ended up as stated before losing a lot of money going four and six on my prediction. If this keeps up I am going to need a big raise. All kidding aside I think I might have a gambling problem as I am heading to In The Red Sportsbook to wager about nine thousand dollars on various fights for Honor FC 4. Please join me for the preview on Honor FC 4 coming in the next few days.
