We successfully evolved! Evolution was an amazing event action packed with ten tremendous fights. I am sure Meet the Future was just as happy as Mr. Monk owner and operator of Honor Fighting Championship because of the sellout. If everyone took my advice and predictions then threw down bets at In The Red Sportsbooks those guys couldn’t have been happy. I went eight of ten with my predictions and possibly made a lot of money for some people. Since the event was a sellout anyone who did not get tickets in enough time we are going to take a look at all of the fights for you right now.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Andrew "Animal" Todd defeats Derec "The Smile" Negreanu

Todd dominated round one and it was not even close. I have never put a seven on a score card but I thought about it. Todd had an early takedown and Negreanu showed some promise controlling until the referee stood the fight up. Todd hits a double right off the restart and starts advancing position. After feeling comfortable with his position he started treating Negreanu’s face like a punching bag. I could not believe the fight was not stopped and when the round ended there was a lot of blood under Negreanu’s eye. 10-8 Todd wins the round, and if this was judged as a whole fight this could have already won the fight for Todd.

Much of the same in round two as Todd opened the round with a take down. He then proceeded to abuse Negreanu for about four minutes. At one point Todd took mount and had done everything but murder Negreanu. This was a good old fashioned ass kicking. The referee decided to stop what could have been a snuff film at 4:19 of the second round. Your winner by TKO do to strikes Andrew "Animal" Todd.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Joe "The Pitch" Castro defeats Justin "Glenn" Bostic

The first round was clearly won by Joe Castro. He beat Bostic up in the clinch and pulled guard twice successfully. Castro could not do anything from the bottom the first time these two went to the ground but Bostic also did a whole lot of nothing. The second time we went to the mat Castro tried a submission and then got a sweep, but Bostic was able to sweep right back into top position. The work from the clinch won Castro the round 10-9.

Castor scored an awesome takedown only to let Bostic right back up. He goes for the clinch again and he starts to dominate Bostic from the clinch once again. Castro pulls guard and then shortly after managed to get a sweep. Castro looked terrible from mount throwing ugly punches and missing with a lot of elbows. I feel Castro won the round but I was not impressed like I was in the first round. 10-9 for the round and 20-18 for round two and Bostic will need to finish this fight if he wants to win.

The final round was a carbon copy of the first two rounds just about. Castro dominated in the clinch, scored two take downs, and looked terrible from the top position on the ground. Late in the round Bostic knew he had to finish so he went for a submission but as soon as Castro defended it he stood up. In the last thirty seconds of the fight Castro defended a takedown and then moved out of range of some strikes. Castro went for a takedown very late just to waste some clock time in my opinion. I gave Castro a 10-9 in favor of Joe Castro.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Al "KO" Hallick defeats Timothy "The Assassin" Christopher Iii

What can I say about this fight? I know, Hallick lands a leg kick but then misses with a head kick. He lands a body kick and then lands a head kick and the fight is over. Thirteen seconds into the first round Al Hallick lives up to his nickname. I wish I would have gone to his after party as I would have a little more to write up.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Lotas Mauras defeats Daniel "Monster" Obaidi

After such I short fight and since the main card had not started yet I decided to leave the press box to grab a beer. By the time I got back Mauras and Obaidi were already in the cage and the opening bell was getting ready to ring. The fight starts and Mauras lands a punch, a head kick, and then another head kick that sends Obaidi to the ground. Lotas finishes with some punches before the referee could get the fight stopped. After a thirteen second fight you expect the next fight to be a bit longer, but this one was shorter as Mauras wins by TKO in just eleven seconds. That is three quick finishes and the fans are loving it!

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Bob "Beast" Harris defeats Robert "Chop" Decker

Harris showed off his ground skills in this one. He got the early takedown on Decker and started working on his arm. Decker started throwing from the bottom, but nothing for Harris to worry about. I was shocked to see Decker start trying submissions from the bottom, but Harris was way too good to get caught in one of those. Around the minute and a half mark Harris went back to work on the arm and he tapped out Decker with a kimura at 1:45 on the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Austin "Hollywood" Worner defeats Johnny "Brutal" Bedford

Bedford needed to keep the fight standing for as long as possible to win the fight, but he chose to shoot in right away. After Bedford got the takedown Worner started working a submission. Worner was then able to gain butterfly guard and sweep. Once Worner was able to take top position it would only be a matter of time, and Worner got an arm triangle on at 2:56 of the first round for the submission win.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Mari "Smoke" Juana defeats Bud "King Of Beers" Weiser

I thought Juana would get a takedown and win with some ground and pound. I was almost right as Juana got the takedown but he started trying out submissions. After Weiser defended a few Juana switched positions and gained side control. Trying submission and dropping elbows took Weiser out of his game. At one point I thought the ref would stop the fight because of the vicious elbows, but instead Juana locked in an arm bar and won by submission at 4:46 of the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Taylor "woob woob woob" Clark defeats "Primal" Rage Kootz

Clark out classed, out struck, and out preformed Kootz in the first round. He was quicker and more accurate in the standup and Kootz was only able to hold onto a clinch for a few seconds. Kootz was able to land a few shots but he missed more than he threw. The shots that did land seemed to not seem to affect Clark at all. The shots Clark landed had major effect and you could tell how much they hurt by the look on Kootz’s face after each one landed. I scored the round for Clark and I got the fight at 10-9 in favor of Clark.

Clark got a little more dangerous in round two mixing head kicks into his already brilliant offence. Kootz did gain another clinch and landed a shot or two but Clark was able to wiggle free and go back to work unloading on him. Clark did land a big head kick that had Kootz stumbling but he quickly recovered after being knocked down with a leg kick. It seemed both fighter’s accuracy got worse but Clark’s power got better and I have no idea how Kootz survived this round. I scored it 10-9 for the round and 20-18 for the fight in favor of Taylor Clark.

Kootz needs a finish and Clark just needs the buzzer to sound to get his hand raised. Clark was a lot less aggressive in this round even though he threw more strikes. No of them seemed as though he wanted to end the fight and he was content with taking this one home by decision. Kootz once again did little to nothing in the offensive in this round accept his typical ten second clinch. Clark and Kootz stayed active the entire third round but Clark clearly won it. I have Clark winning the round 10-9 and I have 30-27 in his favor. All three judges agree and Clark takes home a unanimous decision win.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Featherweight Title Fight (145lbs)

Dewayne Bryant defeats Ben Zaylor

Zaylor stormed Bryant like a bat out of hell. The opening minute and a half was crazy as Zaylor took Bryant to the mat and then stood up. Rinse and repeat this process another four times and Zaylor has already wrapped up the round in my mind. After the last takedown though Bryant started working a triangle that was dismissed with ease by Zaylor but Bryant continued to work and locked on an armbar from the bottom. Zaylor had no choice but to tap out in less than two minutes. I get my first prediction fail as your winner and new Featherweight Champion is Dewayne Bryant.

Main Event Main Card Fight Number 5- Welterweight Title Fight (170lbs)

Rock "Taijutsu" Lee defeats Kshitij "EL FENOMENO" Singh Negi

The first round was crazy! Lee put a hurting on Negi like none other. I figured Negi would be able to gain the clinch and dominate most of the fight, but Lee had other plans. He dazed Negi early in the fight but Negi showed his heart and recovered. The beating did not stop though as Lee ended up cutting and then knocking down Negi. Once Negi got back to his feet he seemed to be a different fighter. He was not moving forward as much and started trying to block or avoid everything coming at him. Negi did get a clinch near the end of the round but he could not do anything with it. I am going to say 10-8 in favor of Lee.

The second round started out much better for Negi as he got the clinch after eating a few punches. Negi lands a knee to the head but Lee breaks the clinch and goes back to work on Negi. Shot after shot Lee keeps landing and Negi keeps whiffing. Negi backs up against the cage and then tries to clinch but Lee countered and laid out Negi. The ref has to run over to stop the fight and Lee retains the Welterweight Championship by way of TKO.
