 SATURDAY

Heavyweight Prize Fighting on Saturday night will give us another joy as we will get to watch the greatness of Jeremy Jackson show off his skills yet again. The entire card is great and it was probably extremely hard to make the decision on who would headline the event as we have at least 3 fights worth that top title.

The original Gangster, as they say “The OG” Kent Phillips will represent Beastmode and Milwaukee’s best as he will look to devour Geodude Golem in the cage Saturday. With a 65lb weight advantage and a brown belt to boot, the OG Kent Phillips will most likely look to get the fight to the ground early and often where he can control the fight, while Golem is an exceptional standup fighter, his skills are greatly diminished once he ends up on the ground and that HEAVYweight will bear down quickly aiding Kent in this match. A victory over Tom Riddle followed up with a KO over Luciano de Olivera since joining HWP is what Kent Phillips has held on his resume and I think he has a very good shot at updating it with another finish victory this weekend as well.

Heimo Hulahula has proven to the world that he has the heart of a heavyweight in the body of a Middleweight. His majority decision victory over John Doe in his debut was nothing short of exciting as he showed that he could handle those tall orders given to him from HWP. People may look into this organization and think it’s near impossible to compete with major weight difference but this guy has proven that he can do it on the first try and that was not enough for his liking. He is back for more and this time he has chosen to test his skills with Hiranuka Stakanu. Stakanu got his last fight to the ground as soon as possible and finished Fedor A Million Ankle as soon as possible and in amazing fashion, if you didn’t see it you missed one of the best finishes of HWP history as he received submission of the night honors with his Guillotine contraption. Although Hulahula is a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I think he will look to keep this fight standing and use his boxing advantage to outpoint his explosive foe.

Cro Copout is still fighting at a high level despite having so many career matches under his belt, 72 to be exact, but this one against Louis Lei will be one different from all the others. Copout has never met such a Muay Thai buff like his in cage counterpart this Saturday night. Louis Lei holds a 12-4 record with 9 KO victories along with 3 decisions to show he isn’t just a quick out. When you talk about freaky flexibility, talk about this guy, elasticity has to be in his DNA and Stretch Armstrong must be in his lineage because this guy’s thigh can touch his head while he is standing. Knees and Kicks are his forte but this is also an incredibly hard opponent to force into a submission. Usually in mma when fighter’s are about to break a bone due to any type of hold, the opponent gives the victim a chance to tap out. When you have Lei in a hold, he gives you time to tighten it up even more, his bones don’t break, they adapt. I feel like Cro Copout’s only path to victory in this fight would be to go for the “gusto” and look to knock his opponent out, if he fails to do so, I think he will be on a sour end of a loss and a victory for the surging Louis Lei.

Jeremy Jackson has gotten a lot of press from me during his 7 fight win streak and his rise to the top as he is slowly cementing himself in the top spot on HWP. So for this fight, I will spend the bulk of the time informing you about Brian King in this fight. As we know, Brian is an excellent fighter although he has had such a rough time with Miami Vice. He has not given that task up and said after his last defeat that he wanted to avenge his 2 losses and one draw. Brian does not have a very impressive track record after joining HWP but what better time to turn that all around than here against JJ for the title. Theres only two titles up for grabs in this org and it bodes very well for a fighter to obtain one. Brian will have to land one major shot nearly immediately when the fight starts or land a takedown and a solid submission literally within seconds to steal this one away. Im very interested in seeing what happens in this fight because I think this will be the toughest test for JJ thus far. JJ will look to do his thing as usual, he is exceptional at scoring points and that’s what he will look to do right at the bell.

With nearly two weeks down already in the new year 2014 we have what could be the card of the year for HWP and the biggest question is, will we see a new champion? If you feel you know, take it to the betting pages and put your money where your mouth is. Thank you all for reading and TO ALL, ENJOY!

SUNDAY

The Sunday night event Heavyweight Prize fighting has put together is equally as exciting as saturday's which is why fighters love the opportunity to be a part of HWP. We have plenty of fights and opportunities to fight as frequently as you would like and against a fighter at literally ANY weight. In addition, you have great reason to head to the westcoast and you will know what I mean if you looked at the event poster.

HugMe Ineedlove will attempt to cling to Washington Moses in such a way that would make grown men feel uneasy. As short as “I need love” is carrying around 284lbs his build reminds me of a double quarter pounder with bigmac sauce. This hamburger helper will need a large serving of help from the MMA gods to finish this fight alive let alone win. I need love is clearly the better Muay Thai fighter but im not sure that his physical elements allow that to be much of an advantage in this fight especailly since he is at a disadvantage in every other situation. The Samoa Slammer will certainly get this fight to the ground and force his chunky tub opponent to tap within seconds in my opinion. This is a great way for Moses to score a win in an organization after 5 consecutive QFC fights.

Often times we have those signature fights where a standup fighter will look to knockout a ground fighter while the ground fighter is itching to get the fight on the ground. This will certainly be the case as the standup fighting Cedric Mabuva will look to keep the fight standing at all costs against Madison Grant. Mabuva holds 15 victories,11 of those are by knockout and even more impressive is the fact that he has only lost one in his last 9 fights and is beginning to show total dominance. Madison Grant has won all of his fights by submission so you should already know what will happen if this fight ever ends up on the ground while Grant is conscious. Grant has been knocked out 5 times in his 20 fight career which provides a very frequent ratio of dust naps taken in the cage. Mabuva was able to leave a mess of The NewYork Dumbass's face in less than one round his last time out before we brought in the new year, and he seems to be very well capable of doing it again Sunday night.

Our co-main on the night will come with more muscle and less fat as both fighters weigh in about a 20lb range of each other and not leaving the heavyweight limits. Of course HWP has no weight limit though so bring big bertha if necessary, she can fight here too. Mick Smithwick is a heavy, short guy that just misses normal light-heavy divisions and is too short to ride rollercoasters at theme parks. However, when he did a BMI test he found that he was 101.2% muscle, I didnt even know that was possible. He is so muscular that if someone stands next to him they will lose weight. Anyways, he will be matched up with Hazni Ali who will enjoy his height advantage but will likely not be able to get this fight to the ground and dominate with his wrestling skills as he usually does because of the theory, “The low man wins.” Hazni lost his last fight by armbar over a month ago and he really wants to bounce back with a victory but this one will be tough. With Smithwick known for his hard straights and his last 5 knockouts this fight will be heavy in his favor. He has never won a fight in any method other than putting his opponent to sleep so this one looks like it will be an exciting finish just like the rest.

The final fight of the weekend will take place between Hulk Hogan and Gigant Silva. Hogan has steamrolled his last 8 opponents winning all of those fights as knockouts as well so if you werent sure if the event will be full of devastation, you should be now. Gigant Silva is possibly the biggest man we have ever seen grace the octagon and the way he defeated Kulakov in his last fight I believe his ego got even bigger. When I spoke with him last he explained how he had to search all the highstreets in the world to find clothing that fits after his losses and if he doesnt get this fight to the ground early, I think he will be touring around the world for a new shirt quite soon. His brownbelt will make things near impossible for Hulk Hogan in the cage on sunday, but if the fight stays standing, he is an inferior boxer and his chin just might become a pinyata. While Silva has a great reach advantage and decent kicking skills I dont know if that is enough to sustain him in this fight while standing.

The main event as all the fights, are going to be exciting, if you guys dont know how to use the spoiler page, now is the time to learn because I have a feeling that someone, including myself will end up shocked. We want to give HWP a good event and thank you for putting this whole party together, be safe and TO ALL ENJOY!
