 Hi Aaron,

When you have time, please review this and let me know if it's acceptable.  If so, I'll post this on the Smack Talk thread for the organization and you can email everyone if you'd like:

Hello there Kickboxing fans, this is your man Furious Styles on the scene and working on those Frequent Flyer Miles! I hopped on the plane from Los Angeles, arrived in London, and went straight to Wild Bob’s Bar to watch the action, particularly Pakon Rajanont and Giacomo Benvenuti of course, because I manage both of those young men.

Needless to say, I’m very proud of them both, but that will be elaborated upon later! Right now, this is about the entire night of fights amongst the raucous seven hundred-and-fifty people who were chanting, yelling, screaming, taunting, and everything else while the fighters handled business! Some of the fighters who stepped into the ring for their very first time as professional fighters looked a bit intimidated, but they settled in once the bell rang and their opponent came directly towards them!

I admit, I’m being a bit biased here in beginning this summary with the Super Heavyweight division, but since there was only one fight in that weight class, and since they’re the largest men, I’ll start there.  Giacomo “The Cleaner” Benvenuti (1-0) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE – representin’ and in the house! – stepped into the ring for the very first time, and his opponent, Curtis Mayhem (0-1) of ACME – St. Petersburg, also stepped into the ring for the very first time. Mayhem had a distinct height advantage in this fight, but Giacomo had the weight advantage and looked to use that as best as possible.

Once the bell rang, Giacomo landed a couple of solid punches, went into a clinch and let the fists fly! Mayhem tried to slow Giacomo’s attack with a right knee to the head, but Giacomo was able to avoid it, which allowed Giacomo to land a solid right hook that cut Mayhem above his left eye. Mayhem showed signs of fatigue and Giacomo went in to take advantage. He was able to break the clinch, measure Mayhem, then unload a brutal left hook that dropped Mayhem as if he were hit with a sledgehammer! That KNOCKOUT VICTORY thrilled the fans in attendance and also earned Giacomo “Knockout Of The Night” honors.

Giacomo begins his professional career on a high note and currently has no fight scheduled! That will give me time to speak with him about the fight and review what areas we need to improve, etc. However, he and I are both honored to have represented the Super Heavyweight division for the very first time and we look forward to more intense fights. Curtis Mayhem begins his career roughly but he has the ability and physical size to be a force in the Super Heavyweight division! He currently has no fight scheduled so he’ll have time to gather himself and work on aspects he wants to improve.

There were three Heavyweight fights on the card, and the first was for the inaugural Heavyweight Championship! “Siimaletti” Itse Perkele (2-0) of FinnFighters and Fred Thompson (0-1) of Tycoon Alliance were the two warriors selected for the title fight, and it was Perkele who brought the intensity and damage to this fight! Physically both of these fighters matched up very well, so it would basically boil down to skill and determination. Perkele displayed both as he methodically went about this fight.

When the bell rang to begin the action, Perkele was very aggressive and energetic, moving in on Thompson immediately began chopping away at his legs with strong kicks! For a minute there, people thought Perkele was a soccer player he was kicking so much. He did, however, land some nasty body kicks on Thompson as well, and those took their toll as Thompson not only struggled to hit Perkele, but it was apparent that he became tired very quickly. The first time Perkele went with a high kick, it caught Thompson completely off guard and cut him on his forehead.

Not long afterward, he landed a crunching head kick that dropped Thompson to the canvas! To his credit, Thompson showed a lot of heart and got back up to beat the count. Perkele continued to kick away at Thompson then again surprised him and knocked him down a second time with a brutal right kick! Thompson again shook it off and got himself up to his feet to continue the fight. Thompson’s cut worsened, however, and that really had an effect on him because he struggled to land any strikes accurately and left himself open for more strikes. Perkele became a bit overzealous and unfortunately for Thompson, his left knee nailed Thompson right in the soft spot! Thompson gathered himself and Perkele apologized sincerely, so a touch of gloves began the action once again.

After absorbing more punishment from kicks, Perkele’s right knee found its way south this time, flooring Thompson again! Perkele looked distraught as he obviously didn’t mean to land a knee in Thompson’s private area. Thompson shook it off and the fight continued. I’m not sure if Perkele had something to drink before the fight, or if Thompson just moved a certain way because yet again, a short time later, it was an errant knee to the sack that stopped Thompson in his tracks! He got up and kept fighting and the crowd gave him a nice ovation. Another kick to the head dropped Thompson and opened his cut even more, but the referee let him continue the fight.

Mercifully, Perkele finally landed the last head kick to end the fight, dropping Thompson face first to the canvas and he flopped around like a fish out of water! Perkele earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY and became the FIRST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF XTREME K1 COMBAT! He was also given the Fight of the Night Award and rightfully so.

The second Heavyweight battle unfolded between Tim “Hemenman” Yankee (1-1) of THE STELL PENN ALLIANCE – whooooop whoooooop! – and Elrond Aragon (2-2)! Yankee had the height and weight advantage in this fight and used it well. Aragorn began the fight well, displaying solid defensive technique and good boxing skills, landing some effective punches on Yankee. Aragorn began to gain confidence and increased his energy level and aggression…and it cost him. Yankee caught him flush on the jaw with a quick and heavy left cross that dropped Aragon in his tracks! Aragon stood right back up but a cut began to bleed over his right eye.

Yankee saw the blood and stepped up his level of aggression, but Aragon’s defenses were still too sound and he wasn’t able to land anything effectively for a while. Aragon was able to counter effectively and this may have been his downfall, because he again gained a bit too much confidence and left himself open for a punch. It was Yankee’s left cross that again stifled Aragon and put him on the canvas! Aragon got back up, but he just wasn’t quite the same. Yankee kept pressing the action until he found the perfect distance and opportunity to unload a snapping one-two combination that knocked Aragon out cold, earning him the KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

Yankee EARNS HIS FIRST CAREER WIN after this victory and currently has no fight scheduled! Aragorn has a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED and currently has no fight scheduled, so he can use the time off to analyze what needs to be done in his young career.

The final Heavyweight battle of the night placed Klaas Van Delft of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE – yaaaaay yaaaaaaaaeeeeeyyy! – and Edoja “Maddog” Benjamin (0-1) against one another. Unfortunately, it seems “Maddog” had a bit too much Thanksgiving in his doggie bowl – see what I did there with the whole dog theme? – and he wasn’t able to make weight for this fight. As a result, this was a No Contest. Van Delft entertained the crowd with some dancing to the latest Netherlands popular music and the crowd liked that!

Two Light Heavyweight fights were scheduled on the card and the first took place between Jake “The Mauler” Gustafsson (3-0) and Az “The Kid” Newto (0-4) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE – make some noise! I think Gustafsson had a stiff drink with the crazed fans in Wild Bob’s because he came out firing like one of the Call of Duty characters! He unleashed a flurry of punches to begin with, then continued the barrage with combinations and the occasional individually placed punch.

Newto was able to defend against some of the punches, but he was just overwhelmed! A lapse of concentration by Newto – the price you pay for looking at the clock – cost him the match when he felt the wallop of a big right cross from Gustaffson! Down went Newto and Gustafsson earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

Gustafsson continues his winning ways by STRETCHING HIS WIN STREAK TO THREE! With no fight scheduled currently, he can enjoy the win and show off his cool Hellbent shirt. Newto continues to struggle in his young career and has now LOST FOUR FIGHTS IN A ROW! I’m sure his management team will took a close look at what needs to be done.

The last Light Heavyweight fight of the night placed Jay Merel (1-0) of Legion of Doom and Aaron “Newto” KickingKing (0-1) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE – big baaaaabbbaaaaay! – in the ring across from one another! Both fighters are young and inexperienced, and at times that inexperience showed. For the entirety of the first round, it was a clinch war that Merel was able to win with sheer determination and a slight sprinkling of skill. Neither warrior was able to land a decisive strike that turned the tide of the fight and both struggled against one another in the clinch.

In the second round, both corners told their respective fighter to step up the level of aggression and look to land some clean strikes. KickingKing was the first to respond with a clean shot, specifically a right knee to Merel’s head that cut Merel on the bridge of his nose! KickingKing’s corner thought that was the shot to turn the tide of the fight, but Merel was able to keep himself calm, out of trouble, and be the more effective fighter in the clinch. Going into the third round, KickingKing’s corner told him he needed the knockout to win, and nothing else would be acceptable!

In the third round, both fighters threw away the clinching war and just went toe-to-toe, trading punches, kicks, hits, misses, solid defense and not so good defense! Both fighters landed solid strikes, but it was Merel who pushed ahead by landing a beautiful four-punch combination that really stunned KickingKing! KickingKing was able to weather the storm, but Merel knew he was ahead on the scorecards and locked in a clinch to finish the fight.

Merel earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY and began his professional career with an impressive victory and will be able to bask in his victory! KickingKing had a rough start to his career but there is plenty of time for him to get off the snide and turn around his fortunes.

The lone Welterweight fight of the night placed Jacob “Chosen Servant” Israel (3-0) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE and Big “Heavy” Hands (4-2), also of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE in the ring! Now it’s no secret that I’m not the most comfortable with alliance mates battling one another, especially when I’m associated with said alliance, but sometimes that’s just the way it is.

What makes this even more intriguing is that both of these young men train at the gym I manage, Steel Penn’s Furious Styles, and they even spar with one another. Needless to say this one was for bragging rights on a few different levels. I just hope they’re able to continue training together at my gym because if not, I may have to keep an eye on them. You know how crazy youngsters are these days!

It seemed that Hands may have talked some trash to Israel, or maybe someone took Israel’s pre-fight meal, because he came out very determined! He immediately landed a heavy kick on Hands’ left leg, went into a clinch, took his time and landed a slicing left elbow that cut Hands above his right eye. Israel then unleashed a series of knees that put Hands into some trouble! After numerous knees, one solid right knee to Hands’ head is the one that dazed him and was the beginning of the end. Israel saw his opportunity, measured him, then unleashed a Street Fighter-esque right uppercut that dropped Hands to the canvas!

Hands tried to get up but he was too stunned and the referee stopped the fight, giving the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY to Israel! Israel STRETCHES HIS WIN STREAK TO THREE and wins the bragging rights for this fight! Hands will definitely have his balls busted at my gym, but he can take it. Besides, maybe he’ll take some time to grab some weight gain and eat a bit more food so he can fill out his thin frame a bit more.  Just an observation.

Two Welterweight fights were also on the card and the first fight of this weigh division went down between Aaron Morris (1-2) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE – can I get a what, what!? – and Pumet “The Surgoen” Mokkasem (0-2), also of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE! Now many people had Mokkasem as the favorite to win this fight because he seemed to be the more skilled fighter on paper. However, one can never truly tell what will occur in a fight and Morris proved this theory correct. Perhaps, and this is just a manager offering some advice, his management team will want to tell him that his nickname should be spelled “Surgeon”.  I’m just sayin’. Since he’s an alliance member, I thought I should try to help out a little bit.

In the first round, both fighters struggled a bit to establish themselves, but that didn’t last too long. Morris was able to daze Mokkasem with a series of punches, back to back, and Mokkasem wasn’t ready for that barrage! However, to his credit, he was able to recover and gather himself enough to avoid any serious damage. The second round was a standup war, and both warriors were more than willing to trade strikes. A combination of good defense and in-ring inexperience brought us a lot of missed opportunities, as well as some effective strikes that scored vital points on the judges’ cards. Overall it was Morris who was more accurate with his strikes and the judges gave him the nod for that round.

Mokkasem’s corner told him he needed to end this fight and take it out of the judges’ hands. Mokkasem was able to land a right head kick that was strong enough to cut Morris above his left eye, but Morris was fortunate that the kick didn’t land flush, or that may have been the knockout blow right then and there! Morris settled in, used his solid boxing and defensive skills, and did enough to make it out of the round without taking more punishment. After all was said and done, both men gave a respectful hug to one another and I’m sure they’ll be giving each other grief since they’re alliance mates, but that’s all right.

Morris wins his first fight of his professional career so he’ll definitely do some celebrating! Mokkasem still seeks his first win as a professional and now has LOST TWO FIGHTS IN A ROW! I know other members of Steel Penn’s Furious Styles gym will help him out, but of course, they’ll give him a bit of a hard time as well.  Hey, that’s the way it goes.

The final Welterweight fight of the evening transpired between Roger Kint (2-0) and Jerome Dupre (1-1)! This was another fight where in-ring inexperience showed at various times for both fighters, but that soon will pass as they continue to get into the ring and fight. Kint has a reputation of being quite strong for being so young, and I think he proved that in this fight. Much of the first round was spent feeling one another out and there were various moments of caution as well.

Kint was the first to land an effective strike that opened a cut on Dupre, specifically a left knee to his head! Dupre was able to continue battling without letting the cut effect him much, but Kint seized the opportunity to be more aggressive and took the points on the cards. In the second and third rounds, Kint was the more methodical and precise fighter, picking and choosing his spots wisely for such a young fighter. Dupre was able to land some strong strikes sporadically, but overall he just didn’t do enough to sway the judges in his favor. His corner implored him to increase his level of activity, but he was frustrated by the defensive abilities of Kint.

When all was said and done, Kint earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY! Kint EXTENDS HIS WIN STREAK TO TWO and the very young fighter has to be feeling good about that! Dupre is unable to use the momentum from his first fight and finds himself in the loss column. However, he’s very young so he can bounce back and quickly!

The concluding fight of the night focused on the Lightweight division as Pakon “The Harbinger” Rajanont (1-0) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE – shakin’ and quakin’ baby – and Dante Luciano (1-1)! Like many managers who attend one of their fighter’s fights, I was a bit nervous, especially since this was Pakon’s first professional fight. I know he and his brother trained together quite a bit, but still, that work has to translate into the ring when the time is right.

Luciano had a distinct height advantage in this fight, but Pakon spars against Giacomo sometimes, and Giacomo is much taller, so that’s nothing new to him, thankfully. Luciano decided to make this fight a battle of clinching and Pakon was happy to oblige. Both warriors struggled to land clean knees and elbows on one another, but Pakon was able to be the more precise fighter throughout the entire fight. Now don’t get me wrong, Luciano definitely landed some heavy shots on Pakon and each one made me cringe, but he took them well and part of that is the youthful exuberance he has.

Pakon was so anxious to land elbows and knees that he forgot some of his training, so I’ll have to sit him down and discuss that, but I can’t argue the results. Pakon earned his first professional victory so I’ll let him and Giacomo compare their fights and knowing them, they’re playing NBA 2K14 on PlayStation 4 right now. As long as they keep it cordial, I don’t mind. When they start cursing and slamming things is when I tell them that’s enough.

Well good people, I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoyed the fights as much as I did.  Steel Penn’s Xtreme K1 Combat will continue to strive to bring you tremendous kickboxing action and the organization owner, Mr. Aaron ThaiGuy, works very diligently to locate and sign new talent, so you can expect to see new faces very soon.  Take care, enjoy your day and I’ll see you…at the fights.
