Steel Penn FN - ICON
2013-10-05, Amsterdam, The Beer Garden

With our excitement for extreme violence almost at its peak, Steel Penn's Fight Night IV is just around the corner to satisfy our needs. We have an eight fight card presenting two title fights and a night of fun.

The Angel of Death vs Pat Doyle gives us a (5-0) QFC monster leaving a life of harsh crime getting his first chance at ICON against a Tycoon amateur making his pro debut.

The Deuce Fizzlebeef is receiving the senior citizens treatment as a 39 year old fighter not ready to call it quits. Morango Camoes, an excellent Sprawl and Brawl boxer will look to turn his losing streak around and maybe show off the skills that once got him a 4 fight win streak.

Hannibal The Butcher Butrovic and Sleepwalker McCall will take a shot at the fight of the night award which is a tough task on such a good card, but with two similar fighters who wont hold anything back going at it,i look for this match to be the best. Ironically both fighters are coming off victories against Thomas Gunner easily. Sleepwalker looks to have a slight advantage as well as riding his 5 fight unbeaten streak.

The Co-Main event of the night will be no doubt one to watch, but in my opinion, this will be more amusing than Anderson Silva's hands on his hips victory over Okami. For the Steel Penn ICON of Amsterdam's 145lb title, Fight Night Nutrition has found what they believe to be a gem in the making in Ben Russel. He is a 10-2 fighter who has won the majority of his fights by knockout. While being in excellent shape he has the best wrestling skills one can ask for. If you look at his fight resume he certainly has the heart of the champion, but having a heart that wont tremble when face to face with “The Beast” Timofey Boyko will not matter if the rest of his body refuses to follow suit. I expect Boyko to land one of his ferocious knees or punches in the clinch ending the night early for Russel. The Beast is just too talented on his feet and in the clinch to find himself in a bad situation. Project Mayhem and Merciless Gladiators should be very excited to see their logos on The Beast in the cage tonight, I expect him to make his sponsors look excellent.

Our main even and Heavyweight title fight is a tale of two extraordinary monsters of the cage as Brain Damage Liljedahl will take on Kosti Lom “Illegal Strikers.” It is said that Liljedahl got his nickname, Brain Damage following 7 KO losses in a row in his amateur career, but interestingly enough, he happens to have won 22 of his 24 wins by KO. He belligerently blasts his opponents with uppercuts, head kicks and almost any other usable body part that will inflict damage. Most notable is his two fights with Home Grown where its almost as if his hand grew 3 times as big as he landed a right hook flooring his victim. Kosti, is a DANGEROUS man, the Late Lee Jun Phan would wish he could do the damage on faces as well as Kosti does. I have never seen one man win so many fights due to cuts in his career, its almost as if he fought Arturo Gatti and John Madsen for every fight. 12 of his 22 victories came in this manner, he has also lost 5 the exact same way. Brain Damage has the slight advantage due to his boxing skills and Kosti seems to be better in Muay Thai and BJJ. If this fight gets to a clinch, Kosti will take the victory, but if he stays striking distance from Liljedahl, Brain Damage will most likely add another KO victory to his resume as well as the title.

Thank you all for reading and hope you enjoy SP-FN 4, if you want to get in on the action we will gladly take fighters who are up to the challenge.
