Dynasty 154: Redmeption thrilled a near capacity crowd in Tokyo on Friday June 14. The evening was a showcase of rematches and grudge matches that turned in some of the finest K1 fighting in recent memory.

The evening was capped by the highly anticipated return match between Blithering Idiot (25-3) and Liam Harrison (19-5-1). These 2 fighters have had a long history dating back to the old IKBL days where Harrison handed Idiot one of his 3 defeats. Since joining Dynasty, Idiot has rolled to 7 straight victories and shot to the top of the 155 lb rankings. His old foe Harrison had taken note and had been calling out Idiot for a return match in the past few months. After originally balking at the idea, the powers that be were finally able to get these 2 old foes back into the ring.

The world is clearly a different place these days as Blithering Idiot proved that he has only grown as a fighter since his disappointing KO loss on Oct 2012 to Harrison. Blithering Idiot used has high-volume boxing skills to clearly control the pace of the return match. In a surprise, Idiot swept all 5 action-packed rounds to claim a unanimous decision. Both fighters landed  & threw at high rates with Idiot's better precision and slightly better power be the deciding factor. With the victory, Idiot is clearly in line for a shot at the 155 lb title. All fans of K1 would suely love to see a 3rd & final showdown b/t these 2 action fighters.

In other great action, Victor Caffey finished HOF legend, Felix Barr by KO stoppage (Knees). This is the 2nd victory for Caffey over Barr. There may be a changing of the guard at 155 with this 2nd impressive stoppage of one of the legends of KT. Impressive KO victories by Giovanni Niccoli (over Bill Lumberg), Jason Eckstein (over top contender Shamus McDermid) and Tyler Crain (over Victor Hugo) also kept the crowd on their feet throughout the evening. Of particular note was the impressive upset victory by Eckstein over veteran McDermid. The win vaulted Eckstein to #3 in the LHW world rankings.

Keep up the great fights,
