Immortals Descend on New York
The newest fight organization to hit the Big Apple is here! Immortals New York. They have risen, like a phoenix, from the ashes of the, now defunct, Virtual Fighting Championships fight organization. Rumors continue to swirl around concerning the whereabouts of the VFC owner and founder Kimmy McRiddle, who has not been seen since Christmas Eve. The most reliable information claims that he is having numerous medical issues that prevent him from performing his duties with the org or managing his stable of fighters.
However, the Immortals have been born out of this chaos. Peel Steel formed the new organization and began immediately recruiting the VFC fighters that had either activated their inactivity clauses or been given early releases from their contracts by the recruiting manager within the VFC. The Immortals mission statement is to carry on with the legacy of VFC. Fair fights, fair pay. It recruits only fighters that are in the New York area or are willing to relocate or commute for fights, and have a fighter ID between 150K and 170K. The idea being to promote fair fights and not allow monsters to crush cans. We promote the virtues of courage, honor, pride, integrity and fairness. The hope is of course to be financially viable, of course, as well, but not at the expense of our honor and integrity. We hope to one day very soon be competing at the highest levels within the city and eventually the whole world.
We have had four successful events already and have crowned three champions out of our five weight classes, with more to be crowned in the coming weeks and months, and already we are ranked in the top ten fight organizations within the city. The sky is the limit and the Immortals are aiming high. As if all of this is not enough, the Immortals New York have one of the best Smack Talk forums in the city. A host of quality writers that goes way beyond talking trash. They write stories, event previews and reviews, manager interviews, and fighter bios (coming soon). The thread is constantly evolving just like the rest of this fine organization. To top it all off the organization boasts a 100% rating with twenty-two ratings posted.
