Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

GAMMA Gosssippppppp #21! After a short break, GAMMA Gossip is back and i would like to start with........................HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAMMA!!!! WOO Baby! It has been an incredible 4 years since GAMMA was created, with a total of 357 total events booked and an active roster of over 200 fighters, i would say that the org is in fantastic shape!

Lets not eat too much cake though and get down to business with our regular reviews and previews.

Review

Rick James v Vladik Fedotov

Rick James has just shown the world why he is so highly regarded after making quick work of top contender Vladik Fedotov. This is Vladik's second loss in a row and will have to fight his way back to the top echelons of the division. Rick on the other hand will get his shot against Peter Cabreros in his next fight, a guy which many expected to be fighting for the title before losing to Vladik.

John Galt vs Degen Gambler (205lbs title)

The last time these 2 met it was a 2nd round Head Kick KO for John. This time it took just 3:48 to finish off Degen to retain the title and to get back on track after previously losing to Denton Thunder in his super fight. Degen will probably be thinking of his options after losing 2 in a row to John Galt and will be also paying close attention to his next title defense against Danny Mangold.

Keith Green vs Frank Sinatra 2 (185lbs title)

Frank Sinatra shocked the world after getting a win over Keith Green to win the title 3 years after he originally joined GAMMA! It was Frank's 3rd attempt at the title after previously losing to Raz Matazz and Dwayne Hicks way back in 2011. Frank was the clear underdog in their first fight, but he managed to pull off a shock 5th round late submission. The rematch was totally different though and Keith grinded out a standard 5 round decision. Keith will be facing Fred Ettish in their rematch.

Renan St Juste vs Mk Ultra (Super Fight at Versus)

Talk about a massive fight and you get Renan vs MK. Renan has been on a tear for some time now, demolishing every opponent in his path. Going into this fight he was considered (once again) the underdog. To add to the pressure of the fight, Renan came a little "drunk" to the fight. That was not a problem though as he still managed to pull off the massive decision upset which moved him up to #4 p4p worldwide. Renan's next fight is expected to be his biggest so far and negotiations are in place with IMMA's Sinuhe Egyptian.

Simon Williams vs Fidel Duberry (265lbs title)

As expected it was going to end within the distance and it took just 2:13 of the first round to put Simon Williams on path to his destiny to gain the #1 p4p spot in the world. Currently several options are being considered including a rematch with Fidel and a fight against the winner of the Grimes v Shirahama fight this weekend. One thing is for certain, Simon Williams is BACK and in great form!

Preview

Buster Grimes v Kenichi Shirahama (265lbs top contender fight)

Buster has basically beaten everyone in his last 12 which were not called Fidel. Kenichi has done the same in his last 12, with the difference being that he beat everyone not called Vangelis, so this should be interesting. Buster obviously wants to keep this standing, whereas Kenichi is one of the best Heavyweight technical fighters around. Buster probably has the edge and will be fancying his chances in this fight. A win will get him another title shot, this time against Simon Williams.

John Galt v Danny Mangold (205lbs title)

Many people may not know Danny Mangold and that is because he has had just 13 fights, despite being 30y of age. However Danny is by no means a fluke. He has won 3 of his last 4 in GAMMA and is already a seasoned veteran. For John this is one of his biggest tests so far and although on paper and name value he is the favorite, in the cage is where things are decided. This could very well be the time Danny Mangold makes his push towards stardom. A loss here will be a massive step backwards for him though.
