Company profile by The Premier Fighting Championship (PFC) is the latest MMA organisation to stamp their mark in the Mixed Martial Arts world, hoping to produce non stop, extreme action with the ultimate promise set by owner Lucas Kennedy of, "under promising and over delivering".
Born in England, succesful businessman Kennedy was asked why he decided to start a MMA Organisation in Rio de Janeiro as opposed to his home country, he replied with "Os ingleses o inventaram, os brasileiros o aperfeiçoaram" explaining that much like Football (Soccer), although the English invented fighting, Brazilians perfected it. Kennedy cited his passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as another reason to start up in Brazil, stating that the talent pool of fighters in Brazil is something that couldnt be overlooked.
When asked about the structure of the PFC, Kennedy explained in the future he would hope they could produce blockbuster fights across all 8 weight divisions but understands that is a dream at the moment insisting the company needs to take one step at a time by utilising a core group of fighters in a few weight divisions before steadily growing to potentially one day compete with "owners like Ernie Porkchop, Gio Vitale and Fat Boy who own the top three Brazilian MMA companies".
Kennedy closed the press conference earlier today saying, "Although the dream is to be one of the top 10 organisations in the world, we are hoping to just survive in the short term, build some hype and get some names on board to give the fans some top quality shows."
Kennedy is also looking for a CEO, A Merchandise Partner and exciting fighters to carry the brand forward.
