HAPPY NEW YEAR!

AD's getting 2013 off to a raucous start with another spectacular PPV offering for our growing fanbase around the globe.  A total of 4 titles will be up for grabs and are supported by top end eliminators across multiple divisions- this one qualifies as a certifiable extravaganza that hardcore fans will want to say "I was there when..."

SHW Title: The king,  Harold Howard, looks to defend his belt for the third time when he takes on usurper, Mac Tyson, who's emerged from the pack as a viable threat to the throne, should HH forget to bring his Nikes to the dance.  Our official bookie says don't bank on that happening, however, as Tyson finds himself a healthy underdog despite his previous title run in EEC and the immediate impact he's made on the fans in Montreal.

WW Title:  As an org owner, you know you're in for good numbers when Ted Grant's on the card, whether he holds the belt or not.  In this instance, it's his first defence since reclaiming it after a lengthy stretch in the wilderness from the one and done former champ, Leandro Alves.  Across the cage will be Felix Basilan, a very well rounded foe with some quality wins but he'll have to be on point from the outset if he's to avoid hitting queer street.

HW Title:  Long-time champion Anaconda Anaconda will put aside the Grecian formula, grab his belt and trot out to the cage one more time for AD nation, this time against Tone Cross who's won 5 of his last 6 but none of them were on the Champ's level.  Double A's been a phenomenon wrapped in an enigma, with everyone wondering when he's going to slow down instead of speed up, as his performances have grown more impressive since he hit the mid-30's.

LHW Title:  With a 10-2 record under the AD banner, Champion Elliot Saunders has been a tough nut to crack at the top of the Lightheavyweight heap, losing only to MW honcho, Charlie Luciano and in his last outing in a suprise upset by William Mackenzie King.  Statistically speaking, he's facing a credible challenger in Noah Puckerman but his 5-2 record with us is marred with losses to Brian Schulte and Ringo Spar, guys that Saunders managed to finish in the first round recently.

Other fights on this blockbuster include:

Constantine Barca vs Steve Partridge MW:  look for another compelling back and forth encounter from these two evenly matched and highly skilled mixed martial artists; with Barca winning a Majority back in Sept. 2012 and Partridge avenging that Unanimously in mid-December.  an impressive finish has to garner the winner great favour in terms of challenging  for the belt.

Trang Troc vs John Connor LW:  lending credence to the talent level at the top of the division, this bout features the #3 and 5 Lightweights in Montreal respectively and neither hold the Title.  This one's expected to provide the fans with an intense demonstration of competitive spirit and combative talents, with the winner being viewed as our 2nd best 155'er behind Champion, David Cross.

Leandro Alves vs Del Thompson MW:  the BJJ wizard, Alves' quest to win titles in four weight classes moves on to stage 2, as Ted Grant's overhand right knocked him into the Middleweight division rather than seek a rematch at some point.  a stern first test awaits in Thompson, who's only lost to the best while with us and even then proved to be a tough out more often than not.

Simon Lluoma vs Ara Vahaber HW:  Lluoma may have lost his most recent opportunity to grab the belt but he hasn't lost any fans along the way, remaining one of AD's most popular fighters since our early days.  here he looks to hold back Vahaber in his run for next and should provide a combination of reasons for fans to get their early.

Hades Hug vs Oleg Sladkov HW:  Stadkov appears to be the underdog going in if you judge your fights based on skill but chin, heart and physical abilities often come into play and we'll get to see if his can turn this one into a slobberknocker.

Hutch Gibson vs Jason Ironsides LHW:  great to see Gibson get to open this huge card, as he's earned a place amongst our most consistently competitive fighters since we opened shop way back when.  Ironsides has that "Iron" Mike Sharp look about him but when you look at the org's he's fought in, you're willing to forgive alot of the losses.
