Ascension: Happy New Year Preview

Welcome folks to yet another great event from your favourite MMA org Ascension called ‘Happy New Year’..The matches scheduled for this weekend is sure to excite any MMA fan..the 185 lbs title is on the line..and we have the best fighters in the business going at each other, it may become a day you will never forget..Lets take a look at the top five matchups..

Antonio Hong v Lazarus Jones

Hong is looking to defend his 185lbs title against Jones..Hong is an established fighter with 17 KO victories to his credit..which is a whooping 89% of his wins..Jones would not let that stand in his way though..he has had his own fair share of KO victories..and he has only lost once via KO in his 45 match long career..so who will it be?..will Hong remain champion?..or will Jones take it away from him?..lets wait and see..

Kupke De Vries v Oleg Karev

Both the fighters are almost equally matched in all the primaries in this match..both have had their share of victories and have knocked out quite a lot of opponents..and both will be looking to add to their win tally..the fight could go either way and the one who is more prepared and tactful on that day will be the winner..

Tessenji Fuuhaku v Bill Batson

Another fight where both fighters are equally capable of winning..with fighters being very good in all the primaries, its getting hard to take a side or to predict a winner..Fuuhaku and Batson will go all out against each other..and only one will probably emerge victorious..lets wait and see who that will be..will it be the more experiences Batson?..or will it be Fuuhaku..

J Blunts v Ronnie Riley

They need to stop making fights like these..where both fighters are too good in everything..it makes it hard to pick a side..Blunts has a slightly superior BJJ which might give him an advantage on the ground..and Riley’s slight advantage in MT might make him the more likely winner on feet..but these differences are so small that they might not make a difference at all..

Jason Sturd v James William

William looks to have a better chance in this fight..superior wrestling and BJJ would make him a force to reckon with if this fight goes to the ground..and better boxing would ensure him a chance of victory even if the fight stays on the feet..Sturd seems to be going in for a tough one and might have to come up with a career best extraordinary performance if he is to win this one..nothing to do but wait to see if he can do it..

And thats not all..we have five more fights lined up..they are:

Mason Capwell v Les Grossman

Karl Denke v Keith RunningRabbit

Toby Diaby v Hans Laudrup

Arthur Meighen v Thomas Watson

Dakota Royer v Stanley Burrell

Be there on 30th to witness it for yourself and to support your favourite fighters..See you there..its Yuri Boyka signing off...
