Attendance:2,999, Event Rating:201
Author:Billy Bumnut

Welcome fight fans to Dynamic Fighting Championship 40 live from Hard Knocks London!

Two titles were disputed where former Animal Day Combat champ Dom DeLuise challenged current DFC lightweight champ Aoki Aoki and James DeFuria took a shot at the featherweight title…but before we get to the main events we had a full card of fights in a packed Hard Knocks.

Bruce Banner vs. Janusz Gawrolek - Welterweight

Banner is a veteran of Brutal FC and is looking to get his career going forward after losing his DFC debut to Morcinek in DFC 36.  Gawrolek just needs something good to happen as he has only one win in his first six fights.  His only win came vs Simmons in DFC 12.

Gawrolek got rocked right out of the gate, but managed to stay on his feet and finish the fight.  Gawrolek tried continually to take down Banner, but the only time the fight saw the ground was when Banner followed him there after a knockdown.  Gaw

Matt Cave hits #1 spot

Profile of Matt Cave by Mentor Guru Corleone

Over the years we have had virtually all the best managers compete at GAMMA at one point or other. In fact while going down the list of the Hall of Famers, i noticed that well over 50% of them have had at least one fighter (in most cases more) compete in GAMMA. However, most of those joined us at later dates, when they were already established in the game. Very few went from rags to riches while being a rookie manager (although a few do come to mind).

I would like to congratulate one of our long term managers, Matt Cave (45538) for going all the way to the top of the manager rankings and making it to the MMA Tycoon Hall of Fame (HOF)!!!

I remember Matt when he just joined us with his up and coming monster Fidel Duberry, a guy which went from a decent prospect to becoming the GAMMA 265lbs champion.

GAMMA: The Fred Ettish Story

Fighter profile of Fred Ettish by Mentor Guru Corleone

Fred is a fighter which has went from rags to riches, nothing with his start or early career suggested a fighter with great potential or promise.

He joined us in the GAMMA contenders as a 3-2-0 rookie, WAY back in April 2011. His first fight was against Brenno Penna lasted 54 seconds with Fred being submitted by Armbar. This would be his first and last time he would get submitted. He then went on a fantastic run, winning 5 in a row, including a fight of the night award against Brenno. After going 5-1 in the contenders he was promoted to the main GAMMA roster and his first fight was against ex-185 kingpin, Bancroft Rothschild. A fight he lost by decision.

His next 8 fights were unspectacular, going 4-4-0 with two of his losses

BFT 168 - Hard Knock Life Review

Middleweight - Lucas Rodriguez Unanimous Decisioned Jason "Red Eye" Craft

The first round of the fight was the clinch show, hosted by Rodriguez. From there, Lucas was able to land the short punches he wanted; he had great success with the uppercut while in there. Craft wasn't slacking off though, he was throwing the muay thai knees and elbows when he could. But Rodriguez was very dominant and took the first round. The second round was fought mostly at the distance, and Rodriguez did not let up. He was able to out land craft for the most part, with both of the guys trading blows throughout the round. Craft looked a little frustrated heading into the last round, but the two plotted onward. They continued to fight as they had for the last 10 minutes. Rodriguez had found his groove and landed onward, while Craft seemed to struggle throughout the fight at the distance preparing himself for a mix of punches and kicks. Both guys came t

Galaxy 5: Fireworks Review!

Event Review: Galaxy 5: Fireworks
Feral Combat

Attendance:1,000, Event Rating:114

This last event of the year was a blast! With a rating of 144 almost beat the previous record only by 0.29! Once again we had a sold out event but that is no surprise because you guys are freaking awesome! We had some excellent fights like Du Coudray versus Miller and the amazing knockout by Castillo! This guy finished his fight with a superman punch! How cool is that? But I’ll tell what else is cool: The Galaxy 5: Fireworks review and it is ready so enjoy it!

Keiji Kawada vs Mercenary Katarina

Well, what can I say about this fight? It lasted the entire 3 rounds, Kawada was dominant all the 15 minutes and the best of all, neither of these guys landed a single strike in the entire fight! What that fuck happened!? Kawada tried 10 strikes and nothing. Katarina tried 13 and bogus. I didn’t think I would live to see such an embarrassing match. Kawada has a better excuse since he is a BJJ fighter but Katarina, my friend, I would go see an ophthalmologist right now or simple try to find a more suitable job! Kawada got a UD victory mostly because he dictated the pace and tried some subs but that’s all!

EMMA 14 – 4 Man 170lbs Tournament – Preview

Sonny Boom, one of EMMA’s more dominant champions, is looking for a new challenger as he continues to defend his belt. This tourney format is EMMA’s way of ensuring guys earn their shot and we are all excited about the potential challenger this tournament will bring.

Velmir Stojkovic vs. Nicanor Reyes

In the second tourney fight of the evening two welterweight prospects will duke it out for a spot in the finale of this tournament. Stojkovic (3-0) is a very well rounded fighter, especially considering how early into his career he is. He brings wonderful boxing and remarkable wrestling into to the cage which allows him to keep the fight standing and, generally, knock people out. On top of his boxer/wrestler skills Velmir also has a purple belt in BJJ and is very capable of submitting his opponents and is very hard to submit himself. Velmir is coming of a 44 second brutal KO of Paul Hewson who was not only un

Immortals New York

Editorial by Marcus Crassus

Immortals New York Musings

INY 50 decided the two fighters who will contest the first ever 135lb title fight. Escobar’s BJJ has been incredible to date, and will face a man he has already bested in McLaren, who also looks a handful. A great title fight for INY fans and it is now signed for INY 57. Kikovic has also impressed and will likely face Parasca for a shot at the winner, with Arashikage will get a striking match against the impressive Sheldon.

Huge fight on Jan 12 with Erik Bennett taking on Number one contender Donald Stewart who has got his shot the hard way. Bennett has looked even better since signing with the Jack Demon camp. Monroe rematches Kharmalov for a title shot, with the unfortunate Kharmalov having previously drawn and dropped a decision in eliminators. Bernhard Taylor returns at 170 and faces the exciting John Davies in a mouthwatering clash of strikers on Jan 18.

Immortals welcome Roger Xu straight from the Under 21 Tourney, with an opponent yet to be named.

At 185 Ventura was very impressive in his recent demolition of Bowman Rook. No one expected him to dismantle

2012 HERO Awards

Editorial by Aj Nex

Well everyone, 2012 was the first year for HERO and I would have to say that it was a great success. A few weeks ago, I sent around nominations for the 2012 HERO awards. All award winners will receive $10,000. Thank you to everyone who cast votes. The results are in, so let's get to it.

2012 HERO Knockout of the Year:
Antero Wursty - Movember Spectacular: In this lightweight title fight, Wursty lost the first round to Zhijing Wang, but he came out in the second and landed a Superman Punch to the jaw that dropped the challenger.

2012 Submission of the Year:
Jacek Kowalski - HERO 44: In the first round of his bout with Matti Teitsi, Kowalski pulled off the rarest submission in MMA Tycoon: the triple decker pecker wrecker.

2012 Fight of the Year:
Tobias Larsson vs Boyko Borisov - HERO 31: Larsson had used a nice mix of boxing and ground and pound to lead the fight two rounds to one, but in the fourth,
