On 16 May, 2015, the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, managed by the always productive Mentor Corleone (3503), presented the GAMMA#481 Boyko vs Iron event, for the viewing pleasure of screaming MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at LA Memorial Colossuseum in Los Angeles, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas.

This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 4 knockouts and 5 decisions (1 being split) and a submission. It also hosted one Title fight at 155 pounds between Fernando Prado and Krystian Wojnasiewicz for the Lightweight Championship. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the ravaged cadavers, and for those of you with the taste for it, all the crushed testicules, and spinal-cord pulling details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=828836

185 lbs fight between "The Hammer" Semmy Kasteel (124259) and Craig Rave (78157)

Rave lands first and then gets a takedown and starts working for a submission but Kasteel reverses him and then is stalling and controlling and basically hanging out waiting for Rave to lock up a submission and they can go home? Maybe Kasteel has an early date or something? Eventually the referee stands them up, and Rave is after the takedown but taking plenty of time to throw some kicks and Kasteel is landing counter strikes and stuffing takedowns. Round 2, Kasteel's corner must of told him to stop playing around and lets get it over with because his early date has called and is ready to go because Kasteel cracks Rave on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rave falls backwards against the cage. Kasteel follows up with more strikes that drop Rave to his knees. Game over !

Results: After 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Semmy Kasteel!

205 lbs fight between Calvin Johnson (137439) and James "Jimmy" Holmes (151992)

Holmes is working the body and both are throwing kicks, Holmes more leg kicks and Johnson is mixing them up nicely. Johnson is cut by a jab and clinches up, but Holmes lands again so he lets the clinch go and is chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick. Things are NOT looking good for Johnson but suddenly things turn around and Johnson lands a left and a right that send Holmes crashing to the mat, dazed! Holmes stands and he is cut and rocked and both men are bleeding and the fight is ON ! The end of the round arrives with both men working the body. Round 2, Holmes straight to the clinch and then a takedown. Holmes is throwing GnP but not much is landing and the referee stands them up and Holmes is throwing head kicks, but is having trouble reaching Johnsons head so he kicks him in the crotch hoping to get the head down where he can kick it I guess? Round 3, Holmes is still kicking, but missing most of it and then clinches. Johnson cant seem to get anything going and breaks the clinch. Holmes is still kicking and Johnson drops Holmes with a beautiful combination! Johnson waves him up and when Holmes kicks again Johnson sends Holmes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Oh LORDY this is not good...Holmes gets up all wobbly with more than a minute to go....just as it looks like we are gonna hear the final bell, Holmes is rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Johnson then unloads a vicious overhand right sends Holmes face first into the canvas! Now THAT Ladies and Gentlemen is whats called a BEATDOWN.

Results: After 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Calvin Johnson!

265+ lbs fight between Johnny "Burger King" Boy (97752) and Holy Jenova (183005)

Jenova came out swinging and actually knocked Boy back into the cage like he was a 4th grader, but Boy stayed with his game plan and took the war to the ground which is his stronger area, despite Jenove having better skills there. Boy immediately started throwing GnP like it was on sale, and it wasn't long and Jenova was cut. Both men trying for a submission, but Boy was more focused on GnP and next we know Jenova is rocked by an elbow but manages to get back into full guard. Boy regains half guard and opens Jenova's cut real bad and the blood is everywhere...and it's a no-brainer when the doc stops the fight.

Results: After 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Johnny Boy!

185 lbs fight between Hektor Troy (160259) and Arstan "The Bold" Selmy (196913)

They both come out kicking like little bitches and Troy is counter-kicking while Selmy is throwing leg-kicks and an occassional combination, and it appears its Troy who is landing more. They are really going at it and its a great first round but Troy likely took it. And that pretty much sums up that fight...a great battle for sure but with Troy landing 47 strikes to Selmy's 31 strikes landed I think there is 1 judge musta had his scorecard upside down or something...

Results: The judges see the fight differently at 29:28/28:29/28:29 in favor of your winner, by split decision... Hektor Troy!

155 lbs fight between Yngve Ingvar (140275) and "Lightning Kid" Atlas Kivi (134572)

Kivi the elite ground fighter surprises us by coming out kicking, and Ingvar lands a shot and cuts Kivi. Kivi continues to be the most active and aggressive, but Ingvar is patiently picking his shots and making them count. Kivi maybe sensing that his intense attacking style dont seem to be working gets a takedown and is throwing GnP. But Ingvar is still playing the lay and pray game even they are on the ground now, and when Kivi misses a big strike, Ingvar snags him with a triangle choke, transmissions to an armbar and its OVER ! Nice submission work...very nice!

Results: After 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yngve Ingvar! Ingvar was awarded "Sub of the night" for this performance.

185 lbs fight between Flavio "Il Principe" Lazzarini (169781) and Atte "Teufel" Peltola (177978)

Peltola the wrestler, comes out boxing and cuts Lazzarini with the 1st punch of the fight...and then a couple body shots and BAM ! Lazzarini ducks straight into an uppercut from Peltola and hes down! Cut and knocked down in less than 30 seconds is NOT a good start. But Lazzarini dont seem all that hurt and as he wiggles around trying to avoid the GnP he manages to reverse Peltola and start his own GnP action. They really go at it and impress the referee so much he allows them to stay in the ground war for a full 4 minutes! Round 2, Peltola is cut by an uppercut a minute into the round and Lazzarini forces a clinch probably so he can get in close and work that cut with some elbow grease... They spend the rest of the round in the clicnh but when its all said and done they didnt land a hellofa lot. Round 3, Lazzarini looking to get a takedown but Peltola is defending nicely so Lazzarini settles for a clinch, and thats where they battle it out to the end of the fight.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Flavio Lazzarini!

155 lbs fight between Gennaro "Il Coltello" Gattuso (143909) and Will Genia (215703)

Gattuso the wrestler, defending the leg kicks from Genia the Muay Thai fighter, and probably waiting for the right opportunity to get a counter takedown. And eventually he gets the takedown and gets right to work with elbows and throwing GnP but Genia is defending nicely and Gattuso is having trouble landing. But they stay busy enough to keep the referee happy and its a ground war until the end of the round...which Gattuso dominated. Round 2, As you would expect Genia comes out kicking and Gattuso is after the takedown and in less than a minute he has it and is scoring some GnP and even tries a submission. But the referee aint happy and stands them up. Genia is kicking and landing and wanting to clinch so he can use that Muay Thai stuff, but the round ends with Gattuso taking it. Round 3, Genia kicking and wanting to clinch and he gets the clinch and gets a couple good shots in before Gattuso breaks free. Genia is coming on strong and cuts Gattuso with a head kick and then throws a front kick that sends Gattuso stumbling back into the cage. You have heard of a "beatdown"? well Gattuso seems to be taking a bit of a "kickdown". Gattuso knows he cant continue eating Genia's foot so he works hard and gets a takedown and starts throwing his own damage and Genia reverses him. Gattuso changes tactics and tries a submission and genia throws some GnP of his own just before the final bell.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Gennaro Gattuso!

265+ lbs fight between Kieron "The Chief" Radebe (183758) and Jules "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" Winnfield (211191)

Winnfield the boxer, being a "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" has 13 of his 14 wins coming by knockout and is sure to be doing some headhunting here. Radebe however is an elite boxer AND Muay Thai fighter with 17 of his 20 wins coming by knockout and will also most likely be looking for some head targetting as well. Ding Ding ! Radebe kicking and wanting to clinch and get Muay Thai busy, and Winnfield countering, but Rabade gets the clinch and starts throwing knees and cuts Winnfield. Long story short, Radebe used an entire arsenal and Winnfield had only his punches...and even if Radebe had only punches...he still outpunched Winnfield. But it dont really matter a damn because early in the 3rd round, Winnfield scores with a nice one two combo and Redebe is cut. Radebe returns the combination and Winnfield is rocked! Radebe attacks with another combo and Winnfield takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold as he drops! Radebe cracks him once more on his way down and its over and OVER. Wow that was BRUTAL !

Results: After 1:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kieron Radebe! Radebe was awrded "KO of the night" for this performance.

155 lbs TITLE fight between the Challenger, Fernando Prado (181926) and the Champion, Krystian "Wojna" Wojnasiewicz (159688)

Wojnasiewicz is an elite fighter with a weakness in BJJ and 21 of his last 27 wins are from knockout. Prado is a newcomer to the GAMMA org and carries 2 belts with him along with an interesting record, 11 wins and no losses. Most of his wins come by decision so I expect his cardio is top notch. Ding Ding ! Wojnasiewicz comes out strong kicking and kicking, and Prado is kicking as well as mixing in other strikes. Wojnasiewicz gets a takedown but his performance there was pathetic and the referee stands them up quickly. Prado is countering and defending nicely and Wojnasiewicz is looking kinda lame. Round 2, and its Wojnasiewicz with a takedown and Prado is controlling him like TOTALLY...and again the standup by the referee. Prado seems to be kicking more and Wojnasiewicz mixing in other strikes better. Before the round ends Wojnasiewicz with another takedown he cant do anything with... Round 3, They go at it and Wojnasiewicz gets a clinch and uses some of his Muay Thai skills and does rather well there, but Prado breaks free and they fight til the end of the round. Round 4, Pretty much a copy of round 3. Round 5, Prado with counters and combinations, and Wojnasiewicz still using a lot of kicks. And so it goes. A great fight but no fireworks.

Results: The judges see the fight slightly different at 46:49/47:48/46:49 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Fernando Prado! Fernando Prado is the new lightweight champion! This fight was awarded "Fight of the night".

145 lbs 5-round NON-Title fight between Crabby Iron (197131) and Timofey "Beast" Boyko (151666)

Boyko the Champion has won the last 9 fights is an elite Muay Thai fighter and Iron who is an elite EVERYTHING and carries a belt from Team Thomas Fight Club has stepped into GAMMA for a test run. It was a great battle and a split decision always gets a close look, and they say fight stats cant lie, so lets consult them. Zero ground war. Clinch war only thing worth mentioning is Boyko needs to practice his knees, and Iron didn't have any knees or elbows. The standing war saw Boyko land 78 strikes and Iron landed 84 strikes. Thats damn close for sure. Noticable was the overabundance of leg kicks by Iron who landed a whopping 46 which is over half his total strikes. No cuts or knockdowns so Im curious how the one judge saw two 10/8 rounds for leg kicking? Very interesting judging criteria I would say.... Must be the new math they talk about...

Results: The judges see this fight substantially different at 49:48/47:48/47:48 in favor of your winner, by split decision... Crabby Iron!

Until next time... GOODBYE !!! oh my...I farted...
