Another night of high octane fight action, put on by the MMA powerhouse GAMMA, yet again has fight fans roaring for more around the globe. This was a night for the big men to shine with no more than 5 Super Heavyweight bouts for the 93,318 strong Wombley Arena crowd to admire, and shine they did.

Kyle Carlton 29-5-0 Def. Kenichi Shirihama 28-13-1 Via TKO(2:31 Rd3). Another knockout victory for the heavy handed Carlton who has achieved the same result in all of his victorious professional fights. Carlton nearly finished the fight after just over a minute of the 1st round, a booming left right combination landing and stunning Shirihama only for Carlton to wave him back up to his feet. However, Shirihama wasn’t going to be taken out so easily gathering his senses for the rest of the round, managing a sweet double leg takedown in the process. The second round started and Shirihama had obviously gained a lot of confidence from his takedown and listening to the advice of his corner managed to land another takedown early in the round, this time a single leg into the guard of Carlton. He was unable to cash in on the dominant position though as Carlton was able to show his ground game controlling Shirihama long enough for the referee to call for the fight to return to the feet. The two men exchanged some good blows for the rest of the round with Carlton connecting a solid uppercut which rocked Shirihama, who then recovered and finished the round with a last second take down. Shirihama started the third round visibly tired from the sheer juggernaught style of Carlton. After toying with his opponent for 2 minutes Carlton finally landed the decisive blow a booming right hand which sent Shirihama to the mat, Carlton swarmed in landing shot after shot until the referee stepped in.

Renan St. Juste 35-12-1 Def. KJ Talley 17-5-0 Via KO (2:52 Rd2). The more experienced St.Juste will of came into this fight a little wary coming off a cut stoppage in his previous bout, and his worst fears where soon realised after Talley managed to open a cut before the round had even reached one minute old. He dug deep throughout the rest of the round though, both men exchanging some heavy blows and whipping the crowd into a frenzy all the while. St.juste’s corner where calling for him to work his clinch game in between rounds and the fighter showed his ability to remain composed coming in for a clinch early in the round. It proved a touch of magic as he was able to put doubt into his opponents mind and after Talley failed in his attempt to pull guard, St Juste showed his class. Mixing punches with some vicious leg kicks, he beat up Talley until a big right hand rocked him and sent him to the canvas. Talley showed a true champion spirit bouncing straight back to his feet but he was in survival mode and a monster hook from St.Juste turned his lights out and he flopped to the canvas like a landed salmon.

Mizushima Muroi 22-13-1 Def. Marcus Ulpius Traianus 34-17-0 Via KO (1:58 Rd1) Another bout with 2 knockout specialists was only going to end one way. Muroi started this fight the more sharper with Ulpius Traianus looking as though he was trying to figure his opponent out , he never got the chance. Muroi pressed the action with some slick striking opening his opponent up with a cut before landing a nasty head kick to floor his opponent. The crowd audibly shocked by the power of the shot which was replayed on the big screen for all to admire. A true highlight reel finish.
