The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves swings widly with a right hand
and Freeman counters with a straight right hand.
Alves is looking to clinch but Freeman is avoiding it.
Despite the aggression on Freeman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Alves throws a poor cross that misses
and Freeman counters with a straight right hand.
Alves takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Freeman ducks under a wild hook from Alves.
Alves fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Alves looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Michael Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freeman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alves.
Alves shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Alves throws a chopping leg kick but Freeman manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Ricci connects with a body shot that sends Lc Barbosa's belly button to the back.
Ricci moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ricci uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lc Barbosa.
Ricci tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lc Barbosa manages to circle out of the way.
Ricci cracks Lc Barbosa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Trevor Ho has been cut.
Miocic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Miocic.
Miocic is looking to slow Ho down with leg kicks.
Miocic lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ho has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Miocic.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ho crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miocic - the referee stops the clock and Ho gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miocic. Ho manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
