Tim is absolutely correct in this thread. Frankly people care so much about having guns, not because there is any data to support that there is a tangible benefit to society- on the contrary- there is an obvious negative effect, but because they want to 'feel' in control of their life. This is ironic considering the 'facts over feelings' philosophy many conservative gun owners use for other issues. I don't want every mother fucking guy to have a gun either.
