Boble
Hi, I just started a bookie in LA, yeah I wanna try it out myself, as people complained about my last thread, and what I heavily notice is, that the 3 event limit is "bullsh**", I'd like to offer fights from a variety of Orgs, and not only my own, mostly LA Title fights, perhaps make a limit of 30 or better 50 fights you can bet on, I think betting on title fights attracts much more interest than betting on Minor Fights. But please remove the 3 Event Limit, perhaps 10 would be ok, but I'd love to offer odds on that many at least.
Guest
I agree the limit of 3 is a bit low. I was thinking like 5 in game 2 out of game events or just something more then 3. I dunno about everyone else but I personally would rather put on more in game events then UFC's, wfc, strikeforces. I can bet on those in real life. I can't bet on CFC 54 at betus.com
MMATycoon
We'll see how we go now bookies are open. I'm certainly not changing anything until there's actually a point in doing so, having actually evaluated it rather than make snap judgements and the limit will certainly never be anything ridiculous like 50. 5 perhaps. The point of the limit in general is to make it so that multiple bookies can exist. If there was no limit then theoretically there would only need to be about 3 bookies. Boble
Well, with about 19 Orgs in all cities, it's very tough to represent a wide spread of betting with only 3 events. And about the number of bookies, well, people can choose their bookies, but most would want to bet on their fighter or the top fighters, I think it would be more attractive being able to offer a much wider amount of events. The main reason 3 is too little, if you contract with an org, that has 3 events per week, your done, unless you only offer betting for a day. If you select to put odds out 7 days before an event, or even worse 14 days before, than your stuck within a heartbeat.

The point of the limit in general is to make it so that multiple bookies can exist. If there was no limit then theoretically there would only need to be about 3 bookies. That's fair. But at this point most events aren't getting odds. And since most orgs are runnng 2 or so cards a week, it would be nice if we could get bumped to 5 in-game cards. It would give those willing to put more time into bookmaking an incentive to do so, as well. I do think 3 for real life is fine, although I wouldn't complain if there was more. Boble
I just wanted to pick that up, it's really tragic, i can only offer 3 events, as with an org that runs 3 cards a week, I'm stuck, with the low amounts of bets drawn, I could easily schedule around 6-7 in game events. Guest
5 events would sound fair, i have a couple of orgs I'd like to help out but I'd have to put their cards up on short notice.
MMATycoon
I don't mind 5, so we'll up it to 5 tomorrow.
