  1. Yep, to save space, they just become names=) You would get a useless all over fighter=P
  2. Actually it would balance out, because if you do a wednesday fight and have a 3 round war, then you will need to rest up until sunday, but can start training on monday. If you fight on Sunday, then have a war, you could lose the whole following week...In the end midweek and weekend fights will not affect training as much as it might be perceived. Now if you have a fighter that just knocks people the fuck out, then yes, he would lose a day but still not nearly that crazy.
  3. You are better off just closing that gym, no value there. People who would want to buy a gym would want to spend the money to save on the cost of hiring coaches...55 members and 2 remarkable coaches has no value in the gym market.
  4. But we are forgetting a big important fact, Cozad gyms have feelings too and need income=P j/k But really, its way to simple to figure this out without popups and messages...its not like there is not a wiki of great advice, a solid newb forum section, chat, or the other dozen or so things...and usually if someone buys vip they will look into these... Also every page has a little blue link that links directly to the wiki with information on that page.......although i could see some people disregarding this little icon or not noticing it, but eventually they will. I guess you could add a link next to forum/chat that says wiki to be more clear....who knows...
  5. *grins* I just posted a long ass article on Rising Sun first event and where are they now? =) Short version: 7 are current and active members of Rising Sun and they are the ones in bold. First event occured November 7th, 2009 (http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=28314). Rising Sun 1 : Where are they now? This is a special on the fighters that fought on the first Rising Sun card back in November 7, 2009 at Paddy o'Malleys Bar in Tokyo. The card was called A New Dawn, and it was filled to capacity with 700 screaming fans to see this upstart organization showcase its initial roster. We will look at their careers and where they are and what they accomplished. This will hopefully become a bi-weekly segment on the history of the fighters of the organization. --JK Active Fighters: Ryo Nakamura - Ryo, a talented boxer from Nagoya, Japan is the most successful fighter from the original Rising Sun roster, and one of the greatest Rising Sun Champions. He was a dominant force in the featherweight division, winning 9 straight fights, and winning/defending the FW Championship belt 5 times. He has never backed down from a challenge and has defeated a slew of top featherweights including Graemmer Natsee, Hadeo Ichisun, Bada Boom, Shinichi Fuujin, and Freiheer von Altenburg. His opponents had a combined 60-32 record, and has included 3 opponents who had 9 or more wins. He has been part of 2 of the top fights in Rising Sun history in his two 5-round wars with Shinichi Fuujin and Freiherr von Altenburg and included a come-from-behind win. He recently lost his title at Pride Fights 2 against talented Kevin Brooks. I fully expect that Ryo will bounce back, and look to become the Featherweight Champioin again. Overall Record 9-1, Rising Sun Record 8-1. Sean Ripgut - Sean Ripgut was signed as a 0-0 rookie with a ton of potential and he has been one of the more successful fighters from our initial pool. He went on a tear winning his first 6 fights in the cage against some talented fighters including Daniel Ghita, Akio Daisuke, and Sammook Polman. Known for his dangerous leg kicks, and grinding down his opponents in the clinch and literally just destroying there cardio and will to fight. His 7th fight in Rising Sun was a title shot against current Heavyweight Champion Ara Vahaber who was able to figure out the cryptic puzzle of how to defeat Ripgut, and he was able to control all 5 rounds and put on a domininating performance over the Muay Thai star. Yet, I see Ripgut taking this loss, analyzing his performance and coming back ten times stronger than before. He is ambitious and wants to hold Rising Sun's Heavyweight Championship Belt. Overall Record 6-1, Rising Sun Record 6-1. Ares "God of War" Constantinides - Ares is an exceptional fighter hailing from Greece. This talented fighter was signed as a 2-2 veteran of QFC. However, although he did not show the best performances in those 4 fights, he would be an animal in Rising Sun always putting on a show in his 8 career Rising Sun Fights. The talented boxer and wrestler has fought and pulled off wins aainst James Hume, Tyson Trinidad, and Mongo Malone, and his greatest show was in a draw against James Hume where the two fighters put on one hell of a show. Ares recently lost at Rising Sun 46 via decision to Mickey Goldmill, but we do not expect that to stop him from eventually getting a shot at the title. Watch out for this talented LHW. Overall 7-4-1, Rising Sun Record 5-2-1. Shina Aoyki - Lightweight Grappling sensation Aoyki is one heck of a talented fighter on the ground and a veteran of Rising Sun starring in 8 events. He has had his up's and down's but he currently has won 5 of his last 6 fights, and has notable wins over Trey Guarino, Arsene Wenger, Taka Osatoko, and Takanori Gomi. With his talented wrestling he is able to get the fight to the ground almost on will, and from there he either controls the fight, or waits to pull off a great submission. The future is bright for this veteran of the cage as he works his way up the ladder to win a shot at the lightweight title. Overal Record - 7-3, Rising Sun Record 6-2. Moses Kippo - This powerful boxer has been a staple of Rising Sun, fighting all 8 fights of his career for our org, and one of holy a handful that have been here from the start. No one can doubt the talent level or the gritty style he brings to the cage. He has fought at Rising Sun 1, 6, Samurai Showdown, Fight Night 6, 24, Fight Night 9, 36, and Fight Night 11. He has faced some of the best middleweights in Tokyo facing Nakamora Yenseki, Akio Osamu, Okina Miyamoto, and Carlos Rivera and he has yet to face a fighter with a losing record in his 8 fights as his opponents have a combined 40-20 record. However, Kippo is always a dangerous opponent and should never be taken lightly, and he is the only fighter to be able to take undefeated Carlos Rivera into the 3rd round. With a talented manager and a dangerous right hand, Kippo has all the tools to make a run for the title. Overall Record - 5-3, Rising Sun Record 5-3. Jake "Monthos" The Terror - Johnny K found this talented LW/FW fighter after he won 3 straight victories (2 in QFC, 1 in WCC) and he was quickly signed. Jake was known for his wrestling skills and ability to control fighters on the ground, and he would quickly show his talent with 3 straight victories over Andy Wang, Ko Maeda, and Gawon Kim taking his record to 6-0 and earning a title shot against Greg LaFleche at Fight Night 7. The Terror vs LaFleche was a great 5 round war between 2 talented fighters although Jake would lose via decision; however, he was able to stand toe to toe with 2 time Rising Sun Champion and a Warriors FC veteran. Jake would then decide to try his luck at FW and he has not been the same since. Rumors are swirling that he may be looking at making a comeback to 155 in the near future. Overall Record 7-4, WCC 1-0, Rising Sun Record 4-4. Jason "The Crippler" Jones - A BJJ expert out of Canada, Jason is always dangerous when he gets the fight to the ground. He has been in plenty of wars, and has provided quick a few upsets including an incredible win over Tim Finnigan in which Jones was caught by a head kick, cut, and then 10 seconds later got Finnigan trapped in a triangle. 7 of his 8 Rising Sun Fights have ended in the first round, including 2 submission victories within one minute. No matter what, Jason is always a dangerous fighter. Overall Record - 6-3, Rising Sun Record 5-3. Ray "The Bully" Maynard - This wrestler from Orlando was a welterweight that showed a lot of potential when he was signed by Rising Sun owner Johnny K. After winning 2 solid QFC's, he signed on the dotted line and went to to win 2 quick submission victories in Rising Sun 1 and 5. Looking for his third victory and a shot at the title, the wheels came off, and Maynard would go to lose his next 3 fights before his manager went inactive. Current Status - Manager is inactive, Ray never fought against after Rising Sun 18. Overall record - 4-3, Rising Sun Record - 2-3. 6 of his 7 fights never made it out of the first round. Zippi "Eerie Inhabitant" Duudi - A BJJ fighter from Finland, Zippi signed right after his first QFC victory and would go on to appear in 6 Rising Sun events and fought plenty of talented fighters such as Moses Kippo, Kauno Kaalikorva, and Marco Ruas. However, after a 3 loss streak Duudi was released to have a chance to make a splash elsewhere. He is currently signed to J League Fights and is 1-1 there. Overall Record 5-5, JLF 1-1, Rising Sun Record 2-4. Sassou "Um Bongo" ZuZu - This middleweight was signed after a solid appearance in a QFC in which he won by submission. Yet, his career in Rising Sun would be short lived. He won his debut with a first round submission over Saku Raba in Rising Sun 1, then would lose 2 straight at Fight Night 1 and 9 before being let go to allow him a chance to bounce back in a smaller org. ZuZu would then bounce around between QFC's and Ippon before finally joining Oni. He recently lost via T(KO) cuts at Oni 11, and he has not advanced very far in his career skill wise. Overall - 4-7, Ippon Record 0-1, Oni Record 0-2, and Rising Sun Record 1-2. Nigel "Ace" Uno - A lightweight fighter, who was signed with a 2-3 record to the inaugural Rising Sun Roster. He was signed on the basis of his experience, yet he would not be able to pull it together although he fought some tough competition and was a warrior. His major weakness was a lack of a chin inherit with his 4 losses via knockout, all within 2 minutes of the first round. he fought veteran fighters such as Mikey Kim, Papoh Bamoya, Ricky McBride, and Jack Raiden and his opponents sported a 32-23 overall combined record showing that "Ace" never turned down a hard fight. However, although Nigel is still listed as an active fighter with an active manager, he is not currently training and has not fought since Rising Sun 20 back in February. Who knows whether he will ever come back to fight. Overall Record 3-6, DMDFC Record 1-1, Rising Sun Record 1-3. Kenta Sazuki - A decent All-Around Muay Thai fighter based out of Osaka Japan. Kenta joined the initial Rising Sun roster although he was 0-2 in his QFC career, yet we hoped for big things for this young fighter. However, his first fight was against a talented boxer named Ryo Nakamura who was about to embark upon a golden career, and Sazuki was only able to last 3 minutes before going down to strikes. However, the tenacious fighter would come back to win at Rising Sun 5 and 13 with two solid victories over Shinya Kawasaki and Ryan O'Reilly. Yet, he would then drop 2 fights to current Rising Sun Champion Kevin Brooks, and talented submission artist Justin Yanagida. As a young 18 year fighter, he was unlucky to run into both Featherweight champions in his career. Rising Sun and Marcus Hall felt it was best to allow him to seek employment elsewhere to hopefully rebuild his career. He would sign with Legends, going 1-1, and he is currently signed to Killer Instinct Championship where he hopes to finally get his career going. Overall Record 3-6, Legends 1-1, and Rising Sun Record 2-2. Retired Fighters: Jeff "Punisher" Miller - An decent fighter who was performed above his talent level, and had a decent career in the Rising Sun with 7 career fights in the cage for the organization. He was known to end fights quickly or lose quickly with 7 of his 8 fights being finished within 1 minute and 5 seconds. His two biggest fights both came against Jason Jones and he lost both fights via submission. However, the Punisher was always a fun fighter to watch. He would retire in April after Samurai Showdown 2. Overall 4-4, Rising Sun Record 3-4. "The Bear Slayer" Marmuro Takamura - This heavy handed boxer was decently successful in his career. He would rack up 4 knockouts, but never could get past a 2 win streak. He would fight at Rising Sun 1, 3, 6, 24, and 30 then retire after losing 2 straight. However, in his 5 fight career at Rising Sun, he fought some talented fighters in Sean Ripgut, Pekka Jonsson, Jason Jones, and Charles Landsman. Overall Record 4-4, Rising Sun Record - 2-3. Andy "Warrior Spirit" Wang - Andy Wang fought at both FW and WW, and he was a veteran of the sport of mixed martial arts taking part in 13 fights before retiring. A warrior of Choke, he was signed after 2 successful QFC wins and on his way to try and prove his past wrong. Unfortunately, just like Choke, he would not have much luck in Rising Sun losing at Rising Sun 1 and 6, and Fight Night 5. Overall Record 5-8, Choke Record 1-5, Rising Sun Record 0-3. Saku "Saki" Raba - This unexperienced fighter signed with Rising Sun after only one QFC appearance. He would lose his debut via submission at Rising Sun 1 then bounce back with a decision victory at Rising Sun 8. However, he would be released do to talent reasons, and after another solid decision victory at QFC he would retire from fighting. Overall 2-2, Rising Sun Record 1-1. Takashi "Cold Blooded" Ishi - Takeshi was a basic fighter, that was signed to add some depth to the LHW division and although he went 1-1 in his Rising Sun career, he promptly retired after his win at Rising Sun : Fight Night 2. Overall 1-2, Rising Sun Record 1-1. Jon Stark - Never really made much of a impact, losing both his fights in Rising Sun and then promptly disappearing. Overall Record 1-2, Rising Sun Record - 0-2. Not a single fight lasted more than 1:38 of the 1st round. Hirato "The Hermit" Motoyama - Not much to say about this fighter. He fought 3 times in Rising Sun at 1, 6, and 13; however, his career never really got going, and he retired after Rising Sun 13. Overall 1-2, Rising Sun Record 1-2. Young Jun Lee - A BJJ specialiest who was signed after an excellent 44 second submission victory in his QFC debut. He would follow that with an excellent Rising Sun debut at A New Darn with a first round submission victory over Nigel Uno. However after a horrible performance at Rising Sun 6 where he was knocked out in 5 seconds, he would quickly retire. Overall 2-1, Rising Sun Record 1-1.
  6. As long as the account is vip it will not hit inactive status and his fighters will be safe. His gym will continue to run and his fighters will continue to train.
  7. Rising Sun is proud to see C-4 be a part of this special event=)
  8. Chuckw94 is probably the closest to making it to red belt as he has multiple elite black belts aiming for that elusive goal but it gets really slowly at that range.
  9. Because Tokyo is pretty much invite only for the primary gyms people would want to get in to.
  10. Yeah it is not available to the masses because it does have a few errors. I know I have ran into a few bugs while using it, and with events so important this tool needs to be pretty much perfected before giving it to all the orgs=)
  11. There is nothing different b/w the two...he you took the mmatycoon magic shirts/shorts and drew on them...he took the puno shirt and drew on them...the magic shirts were not your original design and the puno shirt was not his design. The fact he is not selling 1k shirts, or making a huge profit is what makes this so damn funny...he did it for a simple reason to hype up a fight he cares about, and you all get your panties in a wad...he did not do it in the background, he did not try to be sneaky, and he sold a whopping 10 shirts. About the only thing i would comment on is that he could have asked, but in this situation he was doing something in the spirit of the game and was not out to hurt another company.
  12. Most likely he found a loophole...Mike might want to look into how he incurred this debt
  13. I would say if its an invite only gym and the fighter is not on the list after thursday's PM session then he should be auto-removed from the gym. They would at least then get the training they paid for and allow invite only gyms to easily control who has access and what not. Also allowing gym employees to edit the list would be great.
