Justus
What's up guys, hope everybody is having an awesome weekend...probably indoors avoiding the cold, instead of getting out there and doing charity work like Brian Ortega! But that's okay, the OFC's got you covered with a lot of exciting stuff to help you forget about feeling guilty... With the End of the Year events fastly approaching, we're going bigger than we've ever gone before...4 Titles will be up for grabs in the next 10 days, followed by Christmas turning Black once again in a Holiday Hootenanny Headlined by Maui Wowie and Aksel Stenger. Then on December 30th, newly crowned Welterweight Champion Vicente Lafayette will look to defend for the 1st time in a rematch for the ages against Stasius Venom. And lastly on New Year's Eve, we complete our 2017 World Tour with the OFC's 1st visit to New York! I'm going to try and stack that last show as much as possible, so I may ask some of our Champions for a quick turnaround after their upcoming fights if that's okay. My inbox is always open if there's any questions, comments or concerns. With all of that said, enjoy the Holidays guys, try to help those in need if you can and Thank you for being a part of the OFC! If you have any other fighter's looking for a home, we are now offering Hot Cocoa with New Contracts! But yeah, train hard, fight harder and check out our updated Rankings Report below, Cheers! Justus
Ladies and Gentlemen, boy and girls, children of all ages, I proudly bring to you...The NEW #1 ORG in MONTREAL! It's been a long road to get to this point and a few things had to go our way, but we finally did it! Having only just revived the OFC a little over a year ago, I was ecstatic when we cracked the Top 10 but to actually become Canada's Top Organization is truly something special. Whether you've only just signed to the OFC or have been a long time Champion, I want to say Thank You for being a part of what we're trying to do here. For the longest time, I felt we were looked at as just another mid-tier org (if mentioned at all) but to move this high up in the Rankings and actually be nominated for 2017's Org of the Year in our 1st year back after reviving the OFC is actually humbling and heart-warming. A Special Thanks goes out to Cause McDubree, for lighting a fire under my ass to resurrect the Ontario Fight Club from the dead and all the help you've provided along the way, hope all is well brother. Let's make 2018 another year to remember! With all that mushy stuff out of the way, let's get to the meat of this post. Below are the updated Division Rankings as of January 29th, 2018. I've spoken to a few managers about this already, but I feel now would be a good time to make it Official...moving forward, I am going to be removing the Bantamweight Division. The Lighter weight classes have always been difficult to recruit/scout for, but I feel our other weight classes will benefit from this decision, especially our Featherweight Division. This decision is certainly not permanent but for the time being, I feel that it is best, especially with the current Champion going inactive. Once the current Bantamweight Contracts finish, I will be offering all 135'ers an opportunity to showcase their skills at 145. Also, if any Bantamweights would like to make the jump early, just let me know! Lastly, two division Champion; Grin Ribber will look to defend his Lightweight Championship for the 1st time this Wednesday against Gary Tonon. Also at OFC 337, I'm sure Welterweight Champion Vicente Lafayette will be watching closely as a New #1 Contender for his title will be crowned. On February 10th, we'll be hosting two events and I still have a few spots open, if you receive a short notice fight offer (about 12 days away now) it would be greatly appreciated if you respond quickly. No worries if you can't make the event, just let me know so I can fill the card with someone else. With all that said, thank you to everyone once again for being a part of the OFC, if you have any fighters looking for a home, my inbox is always open, just send me a simple message and we'll get you sorted. But yeah, I think that covers everything for now; train hard, fight harder and I'll see you all at the next event!
