COLISEU 24.11 (895939)

Date: 24 Nov 2017

City: Rio de Janeiro (15:00 GMT)

Arena: Micro Arena - Rio (400)

Rules: MMA

Ring/Cage: Cage

Presents : DeSalvo vs. Oliviera

Hello all and welcome to Guerreiro Luta Liga, the newest organization offering true Vale Tudo Fighting in Rio. The first promotional card has six entertaining fights that will be headlined by Alberto DeSalvo vs. Roger Dos Oliviera. The Micro Arena which has been known to attract some of the most rowdy and untamed spectators will more than likely add a few more fights by nights end. Guys don't leave your ladies by themselves! Lets get to the preview of the fights to come!

1st Fight

Viacheslav "Red-haired Tarzan" Datsik vs. Frank "Kumate" Dux Jr

Datsik has a KO Slam in his only fight while Dux Jr lost by a submission. Not much experience between these two small heavyweights, but obviously the way in how Datsik won gives him a lot of momentum for this fight. Datsik is extremely talented in Muay Thai and has some pretty good brains at least for a fighter. His dad wanted him to be a doctor, and instead he sends people to the doctor! Dux Jr. is older and also has a Kickboxing victory. Known also as a Muay Thai fighter that is really determined and definitely not afraid as both his opponents were 50 lbs or more heavier than him. Now his opponent is virtually the same weight and will be interesting to see what will happen when these two collide.

2nd Fight

Maximus Ragnarsson vs. David "The Tiger" Beckham

Ragnarsson is ten years older than Beckham, and has more experience, but has only won 2 of his past 6 fights so Maximus may be experiencing his fighting skills diminishing, while the younger Beckham has a little bit of training in several areas and has an exciting KO by knee in his only win. It could be that Beckham may have a better physical skills? Ragnarsson is very strong and has excellent Muay Thai. At one time in his career Ragnarsson was on an 8 fight win streak with a title at 145 lbs with Sin City, but what kind of fighter will he be against Beckham?

3rd Fight

Dude "Fuc" Yu vs. Mike Murhaa

Heavyweights in the Cage!!! No one likes heavyweight clashes more than I do, these fights really get me on the edge because we all know that most have hands of freaking granite and can literally knock people to the other side! Yu has a win by KO, while Murhaa is making his debut. Yu is older and has more skill set than Murhaa, but never underestimate the power of an unkown heavyweight. Yu is an excellent boxer while Murhaa's skills tell us he will mostly rely on wrestling. Can't wait to see what happens as I will probably be drunk and ready like everyone else at the Micro!

4th Fight

Lucas "Machine" Vasquez vs. Mike Moore

Vasquez likes to try to submit all his opponents and evidently he likes Pizza to submit him as his major weakness lol. Vasquez has won all four of his fights by submission as he is a Jiu-Jitsu purple belt. Moore is making his debut and has a reasonable amount of grappling training with a background in wrestling and a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu. This is definitely not where Moore wants to end up I'm assuming. This should be an interesting scrap as if Vasquez cannot take Moore down, Moore may be able to out strike him! Unless Moore has pizza sauce on his gloves, don't think Vasquez is going to stop doing what he knows.

5th Fight

Dickie Murphy vs. Paul Scholes

Murphy has the experience and skill set as a high level striker and ground fighter. He is on a 4 fight win streak with all coming by way of KO/TKO. Murphy likes to throw hands and take his opponents to war! Scholes is making his debut and has a pretty basic across the board type skill set, not great at anything, but got some experience training in everything. Scholes will hope to use strategy and hopefully he has some hidden talent that will help him overcome Murphy's onslaught. Scholes is definitely on the outside looking in and it should be Murphy's fight to lose, lets see what type of game plan plays out.

Main Event of the Evening

Albert DeSalvo "The Measuring Man" vs. Roger Dos Oliviera

DeSalvo is 8-8, and a former 145 lb Champion of the defunct org Just Bleed. Dos Oliviera is making his debut. The younger brother of Paulo Dos Oliviera, Roger is a purple belt Jiu-Jitsu specialist that is taking a huge leap with his first fight by facing a former champion who has won all 8 of his fights by submission! Contrasting DeSalvo is the fact that all 8 of his losses are by decisions, which leaves the door open for Roger with his grappling ability if he can fight off and win the ground game vs. DeSalvo he may pull off the upset. There is always the possiblity that DeSalvo may just keep this fight standing and try to engage his boxing ability and show that he can strike as well. I'm sure the Micro Arena will be rocking when these two fighters enter the cage. Beer flowing, fists throwing, and submissions locking will make this a great main event!

CHONUS VS. AN AND NAKAMURA VS. SULLIVAN

FOR VACANT 205 AND 265 TITLES

HELLO AND WELCOME TO RIO DE JANEIRO , BRAZIL WHERE THE MUSIC GETS POPPING, CARNIVAL GETS ROCKIN, AND THE CAGE GETS RATTLING AT THE CITY'S OWN HAYASHI LOUNGE FOR SOME SPECTACULAR VALE TUDO FIGHTS. THIS IS THE SECOND INSTALLMENT OF CAGED VALE TUDO OFFERED TO THE FANS THROUGH GUERREIRO LUTA LIGA ORGANIZATION, AND IT SHOULD BE SOLD OUT! TWO TITLE FIGHTS ARE ON THE LINE AS WELL AS A NEW SPONSOR HAS JOINED THE RANKS OF THE PROMOTION TO HELP THE FIGHTERS FIGHT WITH CONFIDENCE WEARING WARHORSE APPAREL. WHILE THE AIR CONDITIONING IS INADEQUATE AT THE ARENA, THESE PARTYING LADIES DOWN ON THE FLOOR HAVE MADE IT QUITE ENJOYABLE AS THEY HAVE PEELED OFF MUCH ATTIRE ! LETS JUST HOPE THE RING CARD GIRLS MAKE IT THROUGH THE MUGGY HEAT IN BETWEEN ROUNDS!

1ST FIGHT

EVANDER BOSTON VS. LUCJAN LUCJUSZ

BOSTON, NICKNAMED THE REAL DEAL IS A FORMER FREEDOM FIGHTING ALLIANCE FIGHTER, WHO AFTER THE PROMOTION WENT UNDER HAS BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY HE HAS HAD BAD LUCK IN THE FIGHT GAME. WITH NO REAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION OTHER THAN HIS PAST FIGHTS, WE CAN TELL THAT HE IS A MOSTLY A FIGHTER THAT WILL FIGHT WHICHEVER STYLE HE NEEDS TO GET THE JOB DONE. HE HAS SUBMISSION WINS AND LOSSES AS WELL AS DECISION LOSSES. HE HAS SOME SKILLS, BUT NOT ANY MAJOR WARNING LABELS ON ANY. EXPECT HIM TO TRY NEW THINGS IN THIS FIGHT WITH LUCJAN.

LUCJAN IS FROM BELIZE AND HAS TREMENDOUS OVERALL FIGHTING PRIMARIES, WITH ALL THREE OF HIS WINS COMING BY DIFFERENT WAYS, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TYPE OF STRATEGY HE WILL USE. EXCELLENT STAND UP WITH AN EQUALLY IMPRESSIVE BROWN BELT ON THE GROUND, MOST WOULD SAY HE HAS AN EXTREME ADVANTAGE WHEREVER THE FIGHT MAY LEAD, BUT THIS IS WHY YOU FIGHT! UNDERDOGS WITH HIDDEN SKILLS AND TRUE HEART CAN OVERCOME OVERALL ABILITY WITH A MISTAKE.

2ND FIGHT

BADOU BAHA VS. TONY CASSLER

A FORMER MUD HUT CHILD IN AFRICA, UNLIKELY GETTING THE OPPORTUNITY TO MOVE TO JAPAN AND LEARN SHOOT FIGHTING FROM A LEGEND IN FUNAKI IS A GREAT STORY, EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE IS HE IS A FORMER 205 LB CHAMPION FROM TOKYO RAGE WITH ONE DEFENSE BEFORE EVENTUALLY LOSING HIS TITLE WITH HIS LACK OF SUBMISSION GAME. ALTHOUGH HE TRAINED SHOOT FIGHTING, BAHA IS A BANGER AND NO DOUBT THAT IS HIS GO TO GAME, HE HAS TREMENDOUS UPSIDE BUT NOT THE BEST DEFENSES IN THE WORLD. WILL BAHA OVERCOME HIS TITLE LOSS AND BEGIN ANEW IN RIO OR WILL HE FALL AGAIN?

CASSLER IS MAKING HIS DEBUT VS THE FORMER CHAMPION AND EVEN THOUGH ITS A TOUGH FIGHT, HIS SKILLS ARE NOT FAR OFF FROM BAHA. EXECUTION OF STRATEGY WILL BE THE MAIN FOCUS OF CASSLER IF HE INTENDS TO WIN AND GIVE BAHA A CONSECUTIVE 2ND LOSS. CASSLER IS VERY STRONG IN BOXING AND WRESTLING AND IT WILL BE DEFINITELY INTERESTING TO SEE THIS FIGHT UNFOLD. CAN THE UNTESTED ITALIAN TONY CASSLER WIN HIS 1ST AND BIGGEST FIGHT AT THE SAME TIME?

3RD FIGHT

ROGER DOS OLIVIERA VS. MARCELO SANTIAGO

A QUICK TURNAROUND BY DOS OLIVIERA WHO LOST 33 SECONDS INTO THE ORGANIZATIONS 1ST EVENT VS. DE SALVO DUE TO PUNCHES HAS RETURNED TO FACE VETERAN SANTIAGO. DOS OLIVIERA IS A PURPLE BELT WITH A SOLID CHIN AND IS MORE OF A BRAWLER THAN A BOXER, WHICH SHOWED AFTER HIS 1ST FIGHT WITH A MORE EXPERIENCED STAND UP FIGHTER. HE LOOKS TO GET BACK ON TRACK HOPING TO STOP THE VETERAN BEFORE HE CAN TAKE OVER THE FIGHT.

MARCELO SANTIAGO, RECENTLY FOUGHT FOR MMA HELSINKI WHERE HE HAS HAD INCONSISTENCY STAYING IN THE WINNING COLUMN. HIS FIGHT RESULTS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE, WINNING AND LOSING BY ALL 3 METHODS ALMOST EQUALLY WHICH ALSO TELLS YOU HOW HE FIGHTS. HE IS GAME, AND WILL TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE GROUND, STAND, OR TAKE IT TO DEEP WATERS TO TEST THE OPPOSITION GAS TANK. THIS SHOULD BE AN EXCITING FIGHT AND EXPECT NOTHING BUT COMPLETE ALL OUT BY BOTH FIGHTERS.

4TH FIGHT

MURASAKI BARA VS. RONALD LEMODE

4-1 AND 19 YRS OLD SHOWS THAT BARA IS A DANGEROUS YOUNG PROSPECT WITH 3 TKO WINS. HE IS AN ALL AROUND FIGHTER WHO HAS GREAT ATHLETIC ABILITY AS HE WAS ONCE A HIGH SCHOOL HANDBALL CHAMPION. SINCE THEN HE HAS TRAINED IN STRIKING AND SOME GRAPPLING BUT MOSTLY RELYING ON HIS ATHLETIC SKILLS TO OVERCOME OTHERS. HE WILL DEFINITELY BE UP TO A TRUE TEST OF SKILLS VERSUS RONALD LEMODE.

LEMODE SIGNED WITH THE PROMOTION ESPECIALLY TO KNOCK THIS BARA KID THE FUCK OUT. WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE, IDK.... MAYBE LEMODE LOST A HANDBALL GAME TO HIM OR SOMETHING LOL. LEMODE IS FROM THE STATES AND ALSO HAS SOME GREAT BOXING WITH MORE OF A GRECO ROMAN WRESTLING STYLE, LIKE A CATCH WRESTLER INSTEAD OF THE JIU-JITSU THAT MOST MMA GUYS TRY TO DEVELOP. THIS CAN BE A GROUND OR STAND UP TYPE OF FIGHT, WHO KNOWS WE MAY SEE A HANDBALL SLAP A SOME POINT.

5TH FIGHT

LINCON SAMUALS VS. FRANKIE BRAVO

SAMUALS IS FROM A KICKBOXING BACKGROUND WITH A PRO RECORD OF 4-2. HE HAS FOUGHT FOR DYNASTY AND GAMMA IN THE PAST. HIS BOXING AND MUAY THAI IS TOP NOTCH AS HE HAS 3 KNOCKOUTS IN 4 WINS. CURRENTLY RIDING A 2 FIGHT WIN STREAK, SAMUALS HOPES TO KEEP THE OPPOSITION STANDING WHERE HE CAN HAVE THE ADVANTAGE AND WORK HIS GAME.

BRAVO IS MAKING HIS DEBUT AS A PRO WITH NO REAL EXPERIENCE TO MATCH SAMUALS. HE DID COMPETE IN SOME TOUGH MAN COMPETITIONS WHERE HE EITHER WON OR MADE IT TO THE FINALS. HE IS A TOUGH GUY, BUT ALSO VERY INEXPERIENCED. HE HAS SOME STAND UP SKILLS IN BOXING AND MUAY THAI AS WELL, JUST NOT AS POLISHED. WHAT IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO WATCH FOR IS WHAT HAPPENS IF THIS GOES TO THE GROUND? BRAVO MAY HAVE BEEN MYSTERIOUSLY TRAINING HIS SUBMISSION GAME WHILE TRAINING IN BRAZIL.

6TH FIGHT

NAKAMURA VS. SULLIVAN

HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT

WHAT DOES A TALE OF TWO CITIES, THE ODD COUPLE, AND AMERICAN HORROR STORY HAVE IN COMMON?? THIS FREAKSHOW FIGHT.

NAKAMURA IS A HIGHLY SKILLED BIG ASS NINJA FROM JAPAN, WITH MOVES THAT COULD FREAK OUT MONKS IN TIBET. HE HAS GAME WITH A BLACK BELT, JUST NOT THE EXPERIENCE. WITH ONLY 2 PRO FIGHTS TO HIS RESUME AND ONLY 1 WIN, GETTING THE SHOT FOR A TITLE COULD BE EITHER THE START OF A TITLE REIGN OR A WAKE UP CALL.

SULLIVAN IS AN AGING 38 YR OLD FORMER CHAMPION FROM THREE DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS. GREAT EXPERIENCE, GREAT RESUME, STILL A TOUGH SON OF A BITCH IS MAKING HIS RETURN TO THE CAGE FROM A 7 MONTH LAYOFF. HE HAS WON 5 OF HIS LAST 8, BUT A LONG LAYOFF COULD BE HARD TO OVERCOME AT HIS AGE. WHEN HE DOES WIN, 92% OF THEM COME BY KO. EXPECT HIS HANDS TO FLY, WHILE NAKAMURA TO PICK HIS SPOTS AND POSSIBLY TAKE HIM DOWN NINJA STYLE.

MAIN EVENT

PAYNUSS CHONUS VS. CHOL-HYON AN

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

THE 2ND MEETING OF TWO FORMER KICKBOXERS, BUT THE 1ST MEETING WITH MMA RULES. CHONUS EDGED OUT AN BEFORE AT RING SIDE II BACK IN APRIL BY A DECISION, BUT BOTH FIGHTERS HAVE GROWN AND HAVE EVOLVED SINCE AND THE RULES HAVE CHANGED.

CHONUS 5-2 KICKBOXING RECORD WITH 4 WINS BY DECISION TELLS US THAT HE CAN GO THE DISTANCE, AND MAYBE HAS BEEN MORE OF A COUNTER FIGHTER IN THE PAST, PICKING AND JABBING HIS OPPONENTS INTO MAKING MISTAKES. NOW THAT ITS MMA RULES THERE IS MORE TO DEFEND THEN JUST THE KICKS AND THE PUNCHES.

AN IS ON A 3 FIGHT LOSING STREAK, BUT HAS AN EDGE WITH WRESTLING OVER CHONUS. A GREAT ATHLETE THAT COMPETED IN WWE AND HAS WON GOLD MEDALS LOOKS TO GET REVENGE ON CHONUS FOR HIS DEFEAT IN KICKBOXING. AN WANTS TO CHANGE THE MINDS OF ALL THE DOUBTERS OUT THERE THAT HE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL AND HIS TURNAROUND STARTS WITH WINNING THE TITLE VS. CHONUS. ARE WE IN FOR ANOTHER STAND UP WAR OR WILL ONE FIGHTER SHOW HIS VERSATILITY AND DOMINATE IN ANOTHER WAY?

THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS. NOTHING BETTER THAN SOME ICE COLD BEER, HOT SWEATY WOMEN, AND THESE VALE TUDO FIGHTERS ENTERTAINING THE FANS HERE IN RIO. I'M GOING OUT ON A LIMB AND SAY, WE ARE GOING TO WITNESS SOME BRUTAL SHIT ON THIS CARD, SOMEONE IS EITHER GOING TO SLEEP, BREAK A BONE, OR GET KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT. MAYBE WE GET A LITTLE RAMPAGE AND GET A SLAM KO TONIGHT!! SO GO GET YOUR TICKETS, BRING YOUR FRIENDS, AND GET READY FOR IT TO GO DOWN!

Guerreiro Luta Liga

PRESENTS

COLISEU 14.12 (897132)

Date: 14 Dec 2017

City: Rio de Janeiro (16:00 GMT)
Arena: Hard Knocks - Rio (3,000)
Rules: MMA
Ring/Cage: Cage
Judging System: 10 point must
Ticket price: Medium
Pay per view?: No
Merchandise Partner: WarHorse Fightwear
Bookmakers: Penny Shavers
SHORT PREVIEW OF MAIN CARD
Welcome back to beautiful Rio de Janeiro and the home of Guerriero Luta Liga Vale Tudo Fighting. This is the 3rd event for the promotion and after the debacle last time with the air conditioning they have upgraded to the other side of the city to the Hard Knocks Arena. The crowd will be rowdy as usual, as I can already see two men going at it for the last Dr. Pepper from the concessions....geesh, whats wrong with the beer!
Tonights card is loaded with 10 outstanding fights, but the biggest part is the 3 title fights lined up! Lets take a quick look below to see the lineup.
Siva "The Samoan Legacy" Tavau vs. Mike Murhaa
Marcelo "A Cascavel" Santiago vs. Roger Dos Oliviera
Peter Barnkvist vs. Dickie Murphy
Maximus Ragnarsson vs. Dakota "Gamebred" Bohi
Frank "Kumate" Dux Jr vs. Bartlomiej "The Pirate" Szymuszowski
LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Edgar Mendoza vs. "Lord" Bishop Taylor
Mendoza (12-5-1) is a KO Artist and has championship experience as the former Sydney Fighting League Lightweight Champion. He was on a skid as of late, but has rebounded with two consecutive victories. Having a title and the experience definitely gives him the advantage for this fight.
Bishop Taylor (1-3) must have won a golden ticket from Willy Wonka to get this fight as he is on a 3 fight losing streak and does not have near the experience as Mendoza. This should be a cupcake fight for Mendoza.
MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Lucas "Machine" Vasquez vs. Roberto Rocha
Vasquez has all of his 5 wins by submission, hence the nickname "Machine". There is no doubt he is a one dimensional fighter, although no one has been able to stop him.
Rocha is 3-1 and has come over from the World Fighting Championship. Rocha has a purple belt in bjj, but also has a stand up game as well, we will see if Rocha can neutralize Vasquez's ground game and implement his stand up.
FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Albert DeSalvo vs. Jacob Hardy
DeSalvo is a submission artist, but has no KO power. He is well traveled and a former champion of Just Bleed. He also tends to lose those close fights too often, in which all of his losses are by decision. He has the talent to win, but does he have the heart to get through a close fight and make it his?
Hardy is also a former champion of Strikeforce Union. He does have KO power as was demonstrated when he almost decapitated Pit Miles in 5 seconds of his last fight. Hardy is also a purple belt in bjj, so if this fight does hit the mat he has the skills to offset DeSalvo. I would assume that being the more skilled and dangerous fighter, Hardy will want to not go down and use his dangerous Muay Thai and Boxing to destroy him before it goes that far.
There you have it folks, a short but sweet preview of the event and hoping that they get more Dr. Pepper to the concessions, maybe we can get those two idiots earlier in there to fight it out Vale Tudo Style for it?
