Aspire MMA - Official Thread

When I first hired Thoreaux AssKicken, his mother told me that I would have trouble getting him out of the "hollers" (what-ever those are). I guess that all he wanted to do was "wrastle gators and cat-fish noodling". People in the area close to his fishing grounds have started hearing shouts of "I do this for ASPIRE" wafting across the waterways at dusk AND dawn. Because of Aspires influence and belief in him,. he has decided to go back to school and get his G.E.D. I dont know how to, fully, thank you for your support in that boys future. I think that we have created a monster.

Thank you for your time: Kanis

Bruno "Mad Dog" Brown

My manager did not even have time to realise that he had picked me up from the FA list, or I already had a fight offer lined up.
Happens to be against a fighter managed by the girlfriend of my former manager...

So I'll be going into the fight with Brophy against someone who knows me way better than my own manager + who has all the characteristics of a future great.

Apart from one thing, balls !

What I might lack in hiddens or experience at HW, I make up for with evil tactics.
Should I lose, I'll at least know that I tried to give him my best shot and with that I can live.

Meet me in the middle Brophy and lets give the fans what they want.
No pokétricks, but real fighting!

Converstation with GBK after I wished him good luck with Syn and not so much with our fight...

http://i66.tinypic.com/xc63ow.png

I had Brown shortlisted and the morning after hand-out, see a fight offer against Brophy. Not sure how or why I would pick an FA up for one specific fight, nor how an FA could potentially already have had a fight lined up when being on the FA list...

I did not ask for this fight offer at all,as I woke up to it actually.

Brown his primaries are better, but Brophy his hiddens are top notch. Hiddens over skill anytime dude, anytime!

So hey, since GBK feels somehow that he has an unfair disadvantage, I give him until 24h before our fight to message Mike and let him swith our two fighters. I'll fight with Brophy then and he can fight with Brown.

Time is running out GBK.

Someone better sends him this swap offer by PM, or he'll claim that he did not see it on the forum.

If you think that the matchmaker gave me an unfair advantage ( not at all), lets swap our two fighters and see what happens shall we...,?!

I'm pretty sure I'm fighting this same avatar in 320K:

How does that work?

Hey everyone, we at Aspire have an important announcement to make regarding the future of Aspire
Tom Bickle: Its with mixed feelings that we must announce that due to real life responsibilities preventing us from being able to run the org to the standard that is has been run so far, Aspire MMA will be merging with Synchronicity. It is not a decision that we have taken lightly, but overall, we believe that this is the correct decision. It would be all too easy for me to run Aspire MMA on autopilot, with minimum engagement, but our mindset at Aspire has always been to provide the best quality for the community as we possibly can, and I don't feel comfortable dropping the standard to that level. It would be unfair to you, the managers, and unfair to your fighters, all of whom we know can thrive at SYN or elsewhere. All we can do is apologise that we are unable to put Aspire over real life any more.
Aspire 100 will, rather fittingly, be Aspire MMA's last event. After which, Synchronicity will offer contracts to fighters whom they wish to sign (probably 1500+ p4p).

Its been one hell of a journey, and you guys have been amazing and supportive all the way through, and we can't thank you enough. This isnt quite the end of Aspire, as I (Tom) will be starting an Aspire 330k+ grappling org when 330k hits, which is just round the corner, but its the end, certainly for the forseeable future, of our main org activities.

Rei: Tom pretty much said it all, so I have little to add. I joined the team here to strengthen it and explore new avenues that Aspire could could creatively include its fighters and events - but real-life things happened, pulling Adam out of the game. Thanks for putting up with me while I did my best to keep the org alive. Aspire deserves better than its had recently, so I agree with the decision to merge with SYN.
If you have any questions, please do feel free to pm Tom or Rei and ask away. We will be happy to answer.
Thanks guys, and remember to always aspire.

Additionally, we will be inducting a few new fighters into our Hall of Fame. These are fighters who have either played pivotal roles in the success of Aspire, or have accomplished great things under our banner.

Mikael Brophy

First up, we have former Light-Heavyweight Champion Mikael Brophy. Brophy played a pivotal part in Aspire's ascension to the PPV level, with his epic trilogy with James Adams headlining three of the events during that transition. Additionally, Brophy has amassed a record of 5-2-1 in our company, defended his title once, retained it another, and has headlined 6 major events.

Blake Green

Secondly, we have the former Featherweight Champion Blake Green. With 13 fights under the Aspire banner and a record of 10-2-1, 3 title defences and 4 main event slots to his name, Green has rightfully earned his spot in the Aspire Hall of Fame. Although letting go of the title in his last fight, Green will fight for it once more on Aspire's final event, Aspire 100.

Russell Tyrone Jones

Next, we have Russell Tyrone Jones, the former Welterweight Champion and current Middleweight Champion. With a record of 7-1 in the promotion, RTJ's accomplishments go beyond his numbers as Aspire 96: Bosch vs. Jones witnessed the crowning of the only dual-weight Champion in Aspire's history.

A fourth and final inductee will be announced after Aspire 100.
