How To Train

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new to the game, have been slowly reading through the Wiki/Forums for more information. Although being a big MMA fan, I don't know much in depth about the real life ins and outs of training.

If I were to say create a fresh 18 yr old fighter how many weeks of training and what baseline of stats is a good measure before I accept a fight?

Thanks,

dEE

Also a new user this is what I currently have set after trolling the forums/wiki for the past few hours.

Monday AM : CT // Tuesday AM : Yoga // Wednesday AM : REST

Monday PM : Cardio // Tuesday PM : REST // Wednesday PM : Cardio

Thursday AM : CT // Friday AM : REST // Saturday AM : Cardio

Thursday PM : Yoga // Friday PM : REST // Saturday PM : REST

Use Vending : Yes

Does this look right for my first fighter i created, Jonathan "dEE" Desjardins [ 146370 ], http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=146370

Also training time is set to Full Time :)

Thanks in Advance for any answers/help, feel free to PM me as well.

what is his conditioning at, you don't need that many rest sessions unless his conditioning is terrible.

swap the monday pm cardio and tuesday am yoga. you want to do yoga at very high energy if possible, whereas it doesn't make as much of a difference with cardio. you can switch those two (so yoga monday pm and cardio tuesday am) without any negative affects. if you can get just as good of a circuit class on monday pm as you can with monday am, then do yoga monday am, then circuits monday pm, then cardio tuesday am.

switch your wednesday pm cardio and thursday pm yoga for the same reason. and you can prob do saturday am yoga and saturday pm cardio, and still get back to around 100% energy by monday. make adjustments as necessary, so that you're around 90% energy after the saturday pm session (so you aren't resting more than you need to)

as long as you're fighting against other fighters that have skills around the same as yours, you can start fighting almost right away. just get your cardio up to at least wonderful first.

I suppose yoga give flexibility. If I have a stand-up fighter that try to avoid the fight on the ground, does flexibility help at something?

I think it says in one of the newbie guides that balance will help with takedown defence. I think flexibility helps with submissions and head kicks. EDIT: flexibility is the the guide listed too.

Hope that helps :)
