Preview by NickKap

Welcome one and all for the official event preview of MMMA 47: Night of Champions 3, presented by RAGS of a Ronin! Looking to sell out the 6,500-seat Venice Beach Arena in sunny Los Angeles, Madness MMA will bring its die-hard fans three action-packed title fights, plus the grand finale of the Featherweight Tournament and a slew of other great bouts on the undercard.

The main feature of the night, however, is Gabriel “Sylar” Gray (17-3-0) against “El Gordo” Dante Boudain (24-10-1) in the Heavyweight division. The 29-year-old Gray is riding high entering Saturday’s contest, winning seven consecutive bouts including four fights during his time at Synchronicity. Since joining Madness MMA in August 2017, Gray won all three of his fights via brutal knockouts. Gray dominated Mohammed Jihad in a third-round KO at MMMA 39 to earn his Heavyweight title belt, and successfully defended his title at MMMA 44 with a nasty KO in the first round against Alexey Juralev. As a sensational boxer and Muay Thai fighter, an exceptional wrestler, and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Gabriel Gray is as complete a fighter as they come in the Heavyweight division.

Standing in Gray’s way of an eight consecutive win is the baddest man from Canada, Dante Boudain. Boudain, still spry and full of energy at 33 years old, is on an astounding nine-fight winning streak in the Super Heavyweight division with four title defenses. “El Gordo” has won every fight of his Madness MMA career by KO or TKO, adding to his total of 21 wins via KO or TKO. In his last fight, against Mohammed Jihad, Boudain battered his opponent for the entire round before dropping his opponent with a devastating right hand with only 30 seconds left in the round.

In this must-see-matchup between the two former Synchronicity men, it could truly go anyone’s way. With their skills so close to each other, it could all come down to fight tactics and luck. Can Boudain unify the Heavyweight and Super Heavyweight divisions with a win on Saturday? Or can Gray takeout the top dog in the 265+ lb. weight class?

In the second title fight of the evening, we’ve got Bruno “Grim Reaper” Steve (15-8-0) squaring off against Antonio “Amazon Assassin” Lobo (27-15-1) for the Middleweight championship. Steve has just regained his Middleweight title from BJ McGobblecock, Jr. via unanimous decision at MMMA 45 in early October. It was a rematch of the September 20 MMMA Clown Caos 21 against McGobblecock, Jr. where “Grim Reaper” lost in a five-round unanimous decision. Of his 15 career wins, 13 have come from knockout or technical knockout. Steve is a threat in all phases of the fight game, with Elite/Exceptional striking, Elite wrestling, and a black belt in BJJ.

Grim Reaper’s opponent, Lobo enters the octagon on the heels of two consecutive wins following a draw against Kabal Labak at MMMA 31. His win against Ceoghan Cartwright at MMMA 36 was secured with a second-round triangle submission, while his W at MMMA 40 was a unanimous decision over Obi Canuel. Lobo also holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, while he is Sensational in boxing, Muay Thai, and wrestling. The Amazon Assassin also possesses excellent stamina and grappling skills.

Much like our main event, this title fight could truly go either way. However, based on the pre-fight stats and readout, Steve holds a slight edge due to his higher fighter skill and younger age.

Saturday’s third title fight comes in the Bantamweight division. Reigning champion Marc “Moon Knight” Spector (16-6-0) takes on Paul “G” Hewitt (15-4-0). An amazing stand-up fighter and a deadly submission specialist, the American champion Spector is used to the Bantamweight spotlight, fighting in his seventh consecutive title fight in Madness MMA. Moon Knight originally lost his Bantamweight belt against Alexander Pedan at MMMA 29, taking three months off to get his mind and body right from the shocking loss, and then regaining his belt at MMMA 40 with a TKO win against Yuri Sokorov with a series of strikes in the second round. Spector won his first title defense with a nasty head kick in the second round against Dada Mata at MMMA Clown Caos 23.

In the other corner the younger (if you can call 32 years-old young) Paul Hewitt. Hewitt is on a massive string of victories, winning nine straight fights all over the United States… even a QFC! Seven of his nine straight wins have come by KO or TKO, including his first two Madness MMA fights. Hewitt’s heavy hands are an incredible asset for him, as well as his remarkable wrestling abilities to get people to the ground and allow himself to unleash his hammer fists into a guy’s face. Paul’s last two Madness MMA fights (2nd Round TKO vs. Kyle Rad, 3rd Round TKO vs. Rafal Jackiewicz) have gone past the first round, so he has the stamina to take a fight long, but can he make it through the championship rounds?

This one looks to go to Spector. He’s the better fighter in every major category, and he has the most experience in title fights. However, Hewitt hasn’t gotten to where he is in Madness MMA without some success in the ring. And one punch can change an entire fight, so who knows what’ll happen on Saturday when that bell rings.

Our fourth and final main event of the evening is the grand finale of the Madness MMA Featherweight Tournament between Arshnoor “THE BRUTALIZER” Singh (51-26-4) and Cholo “CVG” Van Gaal(20-6-0). The top two fighters in the Madness MMA Featherweight division, this tournament final features a couple of old guys who are giving it their all each time they step inside the octagon.

The #1 fighter in the weight class, Van Gaal has won both of his tournament fights with brutal first round knockouts. The heavy-handed Spaniard dropped Baki Hanma in the tournament’s opening round with a set of powerful hooks early in the first round at MMMA 39, and then destroyed Ben Henley with a left-right-uppercut combo late in the first round of MMMA 43, earning him a spot in the tournament title bout. Van Gaal’s Sensational boxing and Wonderful Muay Thai have served him well in his long MMA career, as has his Exceptional wrestling and BJJ brown belt.

After moving over from Montreal-based Aggressive Damage, Singh has made an immediate impact in the Featherweight division in Madness MMA. THE BRUTALIZER earned his place in the tournament final with a unanimous decision win over Silvio Crespo in MMMA 39 and a first round knockout over James Kruase at MMMA 43 when he dropped him with a beautiful straight-hook combo in under two minutes. Having been in the fight game since 2013, Singh knows a thing or two about performing in big fights. With Exceptional boxing/Muay Thai, Elite wrestling and a brown belt in BJJ, Singh still has plenty left in the tank and should prove to be a threat in his new Los Angeles fighting organization.

Both fighters are exceptional athletes as they get up there in age. Although Van Gaal is the higher ranked fighter in the organization, Singh is clearly the more experienced fighter and has better stats based on the pre-fight analysis. Still, this is anyone’s match and it could all come down to fight strategy.

Even the undercard fights of MMMA 47 are loaded with exciting match-ups! Frank “The Transporter” Martin (12-4-1) against Jos Beton (15-8-0) is a strong Welterweight match. Beton is as strong a wrestler and submission artist as they come (all 15 wins have been via submission), and Martin is a deadly stand-up striker. “The Iron Hammer” Borg Bunting (18-9-2) will throw down with Cyrus “The” Great(11-11-0) in a Super Heavyweight battle. A showdown between heavy hitters in the stand-up game for who may get their chance to fight for the belt. Alan Ford (13-12-0) looks to drop Brian Hardy (25-10-1) in a Welterweight clash. The two are nearly identical in terms of fighter skill, but Ford has a slight edge in the stand-up game thanks to his Elite Muay Thai. “Rotten” Ronnie McDonald (15-21-0) is aiming for his third straight victory, and to do that he’ll have to battle Chris Gunn (17-13-1) in this Lightweight bout. Is McDonald’s black belt in BJJ enough to tip this one in his favor? Or can Gunn keep this standing and utilize his Exceptional boxing and Muay Thai? Old man Pozar “Puta Machina” Pozar (26-38-0) faces off against older man Jarni “Tappaja” Kutsoo (33-35-0) in the Bantamweight division. Pozar is the favorite in this fight, with his higher fighter skill and speed, but can Kutsoo’s strength put him over the top? Finally, Nero Burningrom (6-9-0) squares off against Johnie “Money” Cash (18-12-0) in a showdown of Bantamweights. Cash is looking to snap a four-fight skid, but he’s at a clear disadvantage in the submission department (black belt for Burningrom to Cash’s white belt). If I’m Cash’s man in the corner, I’m telling him to keep this fight standing!

MADNESS MMA Presents

MADNESS Fight League

The concept will be simple 8 teams with 8 Fighters 1 fighter per division. There will be 8 Captains which will be the top 8 ranked fighters in the Division.

First Step will be to draft the teams I will contact all the managers of the top 8 fighters and organize the draft. It may take a few days for this

1. I want to make this as fair as possible so I want to get a manager other than myself to randomize a draft order.

2. Draft Fighters 1 per weight class. If the Team Captain is a HW they will draft 1 fighter per division(Other then there own division) until they have a full team.

Step 2 finalize a schedule each matchup will be held on separate events so the fighters will fight 1 per month.

1. this will be another random thing done.

2. 8 teams so 7 matchups per team.

Step 3 Championship Matchup

1. The top two teams will have a finale matchup to determine the winner.

Point system

1. there could be ties so i want to avoid that with a tiebreaker. My guess is to see which team has the quickest finish to determine and if that's a tie then move to the second quickest finish

1rst round finish= 10 points

2nd round finish =5 points

3rd round finish =3 points

Unanimous decision =2 points

Split Decision= 1 point

Prizes

This will be TBD but I want to give the winning team participants a decent prize. Donations are very welcome and a Sponsor is welcome as well to step up.

I have been wanting to do this for a while and the time has finally come

If you have a fighter that you want to enter in, this contact me and i will send them a contract. My only requirement is a pfp ranking of 3000 or less.

There is no ID Restriction in my org so, there won't be one for this either. The Best of the Best only need to inquire.

So that's the idea interested or have any questions please drop a line. This is all just discussion right now but I want to get started in the next couple months.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Madness MMA has inked two huge fights that will be coming up in the near future

first

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14282626904468.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37w47.jpg

Miguel Cotto (19-7-0) Gerry Kelly (26-5-1)

Miguel Cotto has signed a one fight deal to face are Dominant 205 champ Gerry Kelly in a non-title bout. This fight is scheduled for Jan. 31rst what a way to finish the first month of the year

Miguel has been Kicking ass over at Underground and has had a pretty busy 2017 with an 8-4 record in 12 fights. He is currently ranked #13 at LHW and has fought some of the best at 205. Cotto has yet to reach his full potential losing twice to former UGD champion Pena Pulkkinen in title fights. But maybe a win over Kelly could revamp his career,

As for the Madness champ Gerry Kelly he has been unstoppable since joining us last summer with 7 straight finishes inside the cage. Kelly won the belt from Kevin Garbutt and has schooled the division as of late with 4 straight successful title defenses. Gerry is currently the #12 ranked LHW in the world.

The champ was looking for some competition and Cotto was happy to oblige

finally

Marc Spector(20-6-0) Helix Cabrera(33-17-1)

In the other bout, we will see two division champion Marc Spector defend his 135 Title against Helix Cabrera.

Marc Spector is coming off a hard-fought title capturing performance over former Madness MMA Featherweight champ Arshnoor Singh as he took an impressive Unanimous Decision from Singh. Spector is 10-1 for the year of 2017 and all but 1 of those fights where title fights. Marc is looking to put his name on top of the Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions this year but to do so he has a huge test in front of him as if the Singh fight wasn't enough.

Helix Cabrera is no stranger at all of being at the top, as he was once the Pfp #1 fighter i the world. The former Syn 155 champ has seen better days as of late with a 4-8 record over the 2017 year. This will be his first time fighting at 135 though, and maybe we will see Black Heart take the Tycoon world by storm once again.

These two fights have got me ready for an awesome year of MADNESS MMA, and don't forget about the Heavyweight Title Tournament coming up there will be some big names in that as well.

"Where is everybody? My last three opponents were scaredy-cats that refused to sign the contract.

I need to feed my family of bears that raised me when I was young. Every night I hear them say, 'Roar! GRR!, Snarl!' which is bear for, 'brother, I am hungry.'

If anybody wants to prove they are not scaredy-cats, then sign the contract and face me in the cage and let me feed my bear brother!"

Just signed with Madness MMA 5 fights on the contract!

I can't wait until my next fight after 2 years of jail

Welcome to the MADNESS, we accept all convicts. In fact we encourage a little jail time, just don't go all Conor McGregor on us.
