bengreedy
Recently I've brought up the idea of increasing the in game betting limits to Mike. He has responded and is open to the idea of increasing the limits. Currently this is capped at 5k. I would like to see what the general feel of people is here. The limits are there for good reason, so obviously getting rid of them all together is off the table. If you could just take a second and vote on this it would be greatly appreciated.
TJMitchell
As long as the bookie has enough money to pay out all winning bets i dont mind about a limit
Bwang
Do you mean the limits are there so people don’t throw a fight and get paid out by the betting winner?
bengreedy
Do you mean the limits are there so people don’t throw a fight and get paid out by the betting winner? Partly, but on any scale with the right odds there is a good payout there.
Gator001
Im all for it and voted for an increase but I do think TJ and Bwang make very good points. There is a lot of broke bookmakers out there, i still have a few outstanding bets on my list from ages back. It would be good though
Jackking
This is coincidental because I just checking out the bookmakers and placing bets for the first time recently and I was pretty turned off by extremely low bet limits. I thought that the bet limits should be something like 50k/100k for in-game/real-life events. However, I see the point made above that there would be a risk of fighters throwing fights at these limits, at least for undercards and lower ranked orgs. The same argument cannot be made for real life events though, and the limits for these events can and should be raised much higher.

You set your own. They just have to be between 1 and 5,000 dollars. Therefore a company with less capitol can set a lower limit. I know this isn't the consumer's issue to deal with, but the consumer should feel at least partially guilty if they don't check the companies capitol and pending bets as it's on the front page of their company profile.
lotos
Don't see why you can't have a 50k limit (no questions asked), but make personal exceptions for an agreed limit, like they do in casinos. You can quite easily pm like we have been with laundry and simply ask "what's the limit" (on a specific bet)....
Monsieur.Camara
Had a lengthy conversation with Ben about this. Limits should be at least 30k (would prefer 50k) for MMAT fights and 100k for real live events.
Alfred
I think it should be down to the bookies owner to set his own limits. I wouldn't offer much more than what you already can for in game events but for real life I'd set it pretty high.
