Not work work (cause I don't actually get paid either), but I have been involved in organizing some segment of bjj tournaments for the last two years. Usually the logistics of the competitors, registrations, brackets, weigh ins, digital scoreboards, etc. Done some sideline judging work as well lately. This year I wanna try to set up live streams for the first time to see if we can make it work.

To be honest, I also thought you could fare better doing this in a digital environment. The market you would be looking for is a fairly small niche, and it seems to me like uniting potential users so that their community is active would be so much more doable online. The money you save by establishing a downstream supply line could be better invested in promoting your product, or hosting online events / launch parties/ etc. Building further on this, this does not mean you completely avoid the physical market, but I think that you will see much more success if you try to engage your client base after you have built an online presence. My 2 cents.

So I used to have watch parties in my home for big events like 249 tonight. But with the recent COVID outbreak seems like I might not be able to host many people anytime soon. I don't know about you but watching fights with people who also enjoy them makes the experience so much better. Anyways, it got me thinking about hosting online watch parties using zoom or any other web conferencing app. Anyone else feel like this is something worth doing?
