6 teams will be fighting it out for glory

In those 6 teams, there are 7 fighters who will also be fighting for personal glory.

Sure, the main factor going in is who is the better fighter, but while we are here, we might as well give people a platform to gain a psychological advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you...

Aaah! Now we are talking! A tournament without a smack talk thread is like cheeseburger without cheese. I am not going to do real smack talking for the first fight as I know that his manager doesn't go on the forums all that much, so he won't read it most likely. If he does, feel free to react big Swede, as I will be ready to fire back. I'm fighting one of his most priced assets, Dorian Yates. My manager had the honor of calling him one of his NYFN fighters and he confirmed that Yates is an absolute beast. He might very well be one of the brightest prospects in MMA today. The thing is, I'm no noob either. I have heard rumors that people have high expectations for both of us and that this is possibly the highest anticpated fight in the first round. Such things might raise the nerves of most people, but I am not most people. I'll admit that it puts me on alert, but that is only normal as I know that Yates is one hell of a tough biscuit to crack. He is supposed to have a granite chin, but honestly, I doubt that. He has already been finished in the past. I have great KO power and can knock him back to the Netherlands with one clean shot. But then again, since he is from Holland, I guess he likes shots. I don't know what the odds are for this fight as I haven't seen any bookmaker yet ( mr. Hart, were are you???) , but I guess it is pretty even, perhaps with Yates being a small favorite. I'm curious to see how I can do against him. My manager already destroyed one of his manager's best prospects in the past and I think he is eager to do this again. Both me and my manager have nothing but respect for Dorian and Mike, but once that cage door closes, it's not going to be pretty!

James "Sully" McGuiness (237725)

Greetings ladies and gentlemen!!! It's your favourite Irish fighter here James "Sully" McGuiness! Most of you know of my famous home brew, but for those of you who don't know me, i am the owner of Sully's Bar & Grill and you can read about my history HERE.

Now, many of you guys are probably thinking "Wait Sully, you aren't part of this tournament. What can YOU possibly offer?" Well, while GBK16 is doing a great job with his previews i thought i would give a second opinion on give my thoughts on how members of the Mighty Corporation will do in this tournament.

But before i get onto the previews, i want to thank the guys at MMA Hype Apparel for releasing the official Corporation ITFL merchandise! You don't have to wear your old tattered t-shirt or torn jeans! Make your way down to MMA Hype Apparel and get your official Corporation gear before the first round! Do it NOW!!!

And for those of you who couldn't get tickets to Amsterdam to watch The Corporation kick ass at ~T~ ITFL Round 1.2 live, why don't you come down to Sully's Bar & Grill and watch it on one of our HD screens while kicking back with an icy cold beer!

On to the fights!!

Corporation Fight #1

"Jacked" Jamal Jackson v Pablo "The King" Escobar http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Striker Escobar lost his first fight at age 23 and considered retiring when he began his training under The Corporation. With his regained confidence, he bounced back with a win by slicing his opponent up. He faces dangerous boxer Jackson. Both men have proven they are KO artists and Escobar seems to have shaken off his ring rust with his last victory. Look for an exciting standup affair and don't blink otherwise you will miss the potential KO of the Night!

Corporation Fight #2

Pernell Whitaker Jr v Brett Hartlock http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

24 Year old Submission artist Hartlock faces Whitaker Jr, who is a veteran of ITFL 3. Will that experience factor into the relatively young Hartlock? I think not, as Hartlock will be looking to take him down and I believe once the fight goes to the ground he will easily break his will. Snap or tap? :D

Corporation Fight #3

Durlag Trollkiller v Paul "Scrap" Landen http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

"Scrap" is coming off 2 losses and has only 1 win out of his last 4 fights. While people may count him out, I have full confidence that he can bounce back. While Landen is stepping up a division, he faces a much smaller fighter in Trollkiller, so i wonder if that will factor into it? Look for Landen to bounce back with a early KO victory.

Corporation Fight #4

"Devilish" Itse Perkele v Diego "The Gladiator" Bustamante http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

"The Gladiator" made his debut as a Quick Fight Tournament finalist and the Muay Thai specialist has proven he is more than one dimensional as he has also demonstrated his submission skills. He faces former KT fighter turned MMA fighter Perkele, who seems to have transitioned well to MMA after a rocky start. Both men are really comfortable on their feet and I expect fireworks in this one!!

Corporation Fight #5

Jay "The Great" Gatsby v Bjorn "Ironside" Lodbrok http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

"Ironside" seems like he has only 2 gameplans going into his fights. Either he's gonna knock you out or he's gonna get knocked out trying! And that makes for a really exciting fight as he goes up against Gatsby who isn't afraid to throw down! Both men have their Brown Belt in BJJ but i don't feel like it will matter in this fight. Look for Lodbrok to bounce back from his last loss with a devastating KO against Gatsby.

Corporation Fight #6

"Prodigy" Anakoni Kai v Frank Damozzi http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Another fight against two Brown Belts where i feel it is irrelevant. Both men are capable on the ground, but they feel there is nothing better than knocking their opponent out. Anakoni is riding an amazing 5 fight win streak while Damozzi is riding a 3 fight losing streak. Well, Kai's streak HAS to end some time while my boy Damozzi's luck is due for a turnaround.

Corporation Fight #7

Bruce Wayne v Ivar "The Boneless" Lodbrok http://mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Last but not least, the final fight of the first round featuring The Corporation and second fight to feature one of those ruthless Lodbrok boys. Both men are stepping up to Heavyweight for this tournament, and both men are coming in on a loss. Sorry Brucie boy, but i don't envy you stepping into the cage against an angry Ivar after his loss in the AMS LHW Grand Prix Finals. Let's just hope he makes it quick!

And that my friends is The Corporation's fights for this first round!!! And boy i can't wait!!! So whether you are making the trek to Amsterdam to watch it live, or kicking back with a relaxing beer at Sully's Bar & Grill, make sure you drop by MMA Hype Apparel and buy your official Corporation ITFL gear before it all runs out!!!

See you all at the fights and remember,

Stay classy...

Ya know, all I am hearing is.. “This is going to be a tough match for you. Buttttttttttt if you get it down to the ground… Then you might just pull it off.”

Hartlock closes his eyes briefly as he shakes his head.

Brett Hartlock

I know this face might be deceiving, but I am not as dumb as I look. Goddamn people.. It’s the ITFL; is there such thing as an easy fight here? I know what I signed up for, and I know what I need to do to win. People seem to think it has not crossed my mind to use my strengths in this fight. I got the reputation to be a danger on the ground, but since my last fight I been working on a lot more skills. I don’t want to become known as the guy who was only good at one thing.

A sly smirk appears on his face, seemingly confident with the results of his training.

Brett Hartlock

Who knows, I might just surprise everyone and go full on strikes on this guy I am facing. I have been fortunate enough to train with some high level strikers and I feel confident that I can outstrike Whitaker Jr. It would help making a name for myself early on in the ITFL and help out my team, The Corporation.

Whitaker Jr, let’s have a good fight and stand out in this crazy weekend of fights. Stay Classy

Brett Hartlock

Brett Hartlock

Lost the first fight of the tournament - no biggie. Just a minor set back.

It was amusing to me that with so many fighters losing, someone who has won did more crying, whining and bitching combined compared to them. Some guys really are just sad individuals. We are better off without those kind here.

Hartlock tilted his head up a little before looking forward again.

Brett Hartlock

Already got my fight for the 2nd round signed for, but I heard my opponnent has yet to accept.

Hopefully he realises that he has no choice but to sign on the dotted line and get this fight going, as is part of the rules of this tournament.

I have faith in him that he will sign soon, he's from a respectable team and it will be a great fight with him, that's for sure. I could of course sent him countless messages about it, but luckily I have a healthy mind and do not harrass people.

He tilts his head up again, a litle bit more again this time.

Brett Hartlock

Sambo Rambo; I'll see you on the 8th this month. Let's go and earn ourselves an award!

James "Sully" McGuiness (237725)

Ladies and gentlemen, in between preparing for my KT debut and follow up fight, i am proud to sit back and preview the upcoming fights for members of The Corporation as we head into ITFL Round 2. We didn't have the best start, going 2-5 but i am sure my boys will bounce back! It's still early days yet!

But before we get to the fights, I want to make a big shout out to Brad and Jarrett and the good job they are doing with MMA Hype Apparel. So for your official Corporation ITFL gear, head into the shop and tell the boys Sully sent ya! They ship within 3 days WORLDWIDE or your money back!!! How's that for service??

What about the fights?? Team Corporation take on the always Team Finland in the next round of ITFL. How will the fights go?

Corporation Fight #1

Diego "The Gladiator" Bustamante v Algot "Chinless Bastard" Von Panzerhosen http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Both men are coming off 2 losses and Von Panzerhosen seems to be living up to his nickname with 5 of his 7 loses coming by way of KO. I have no doubt in my mind that Bustamante will bounce back from his loss to KO the chinless one.

Corporation Fight #2

Brett Hartlock v "Combat" Sambo Rambo http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Both submission artists are also coming off close losses in their first round of ITFL and look to bounce back with a victory. This fight could end quickly or both men could cancel each other out. Either way, one tiny mistake and you can lose a limb here. While Sambo has the slight advantage on the feet, i feel that he will fall to 5 losses in a row when my boy Hartlock makes him tap late in the second round.

Corporation Fight #3

Pablo "The King" Escobar v Antonio Jose De Sucre http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Escobar took out Jamal Jackson and looks to continue his streak against De Sucre. Both men like to stand and bang so i predict a highlight reel finish with The King going 2-0 in this tournament.

Corporation Fight #4

Bjorn "Ironside" Lodbrok v Taisto Perälä http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Striker Lodbrok is coming off a loss as he faces Perala. We all know Lodbrok's gameplan is to go in there and knock the other guy out. Perala has shown that he started off as a submission fighter, but recently the black belt has shown he can also stand and bang. I'm sorry Taisto, but your winning streak will come to an end when my boy Bjorn hits you with his powerful haymaker.

Corporation Fight #5

Paul "Scrap" Landen v Helix "Black Heart" Cabrera http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Both men started their ITFL with devestating second round TKO's. "Black Heart" may look intimidating, but Landen won't back down. Both have shown tremendous power in their strikes. While it won't be easy, I have faith that Landen will beat the heart out of Cabrera.

Corporation Fight #6

Ivar "The Boneless" Lodbrok v Urho Berserk http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

The next of the powerful Lodbrok family to represent ITFL. Ivar lost his first round fight in a devastating KO and i think that will motivate him to bounce back. The Lodbrok's have a dangerous reputation and with 8 out of 10 wins by KO you an see why. Lodbrok to take the early KO win!

Corporation Fight #7

Frank Damozzi v Joey Kocur http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

We finish off this event with Damozzi hoping to snap a 4 fight losing streak against Kocur who had a tough fought split decision win in his opener. On paper, Damozzi looks like going to a 5 fight losing streak. Nobody seems to be giving him a chance but i believe that will make him more dangerous. While it's been a while, Damozzi has dangerous KO power and if Kocur isn't careful he will be the unlucky recipient of a highlight reel KO.

And there we have it fellas!! And if you can't make it to Amsterdam's The Red Light for the live show why not put on your official Corporation ITFL shirt fromMMA Hype and drop into Sully's Bar & Grill and watch it on one of our HD screen while sitting back with a beer? But remember to drink responsibly. :drunk:

So until next time, I'm James "Sully" McGuiness

Go Team Corporation!

And as always...

Stay Classy!

"I got a taste for blood in my last fight and I want more. Aglot went down like a sack of shit after I connect with my head kick. I heard rumours they had a medic team look over him once he left the cage. Giacomo Benvefruti, you got the fight you wanted, you better bring it because I got nothing to lose and everything to gain in our fight. Looks like you might have a bit of a problem with powerful strikers.... "

James "Sully" McGuiness (237725)

Good evening everyone, and welcome to another round of the ITFL Season 4!

Round 2 saw The Mighty Corporation go 4-2-1 which is a slight improvement from the first week.

Of course, my preview of The Corporation's fights are proudly brought to you by the good folks Jared and Brett from MMA Hype! Get your ass down to their store in Amsterdam for the latest official Corporation ITFL Gear! Tell them Sully sent ya!

Well after fighting in Amsterdam for the first 2 weeks, we travel to London where we face Vendino team made up of Vendetta and a representative from Convicted. I am fairly confident my boys will have an impressive showing against a dangerous team. On to the fights...

Corporation Fight #1

Ivar "The Boneless" Lodbrok v "Freeborn" John Paul Wani http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Ivar bounced back from a first round loss to knock his round 2 opponent silly. Both men have devastating KO power so it may just be a matter of who connects first. Look for Boneless to wipe out Wani in the first round to continue his streak.

Corporation Fight #2

Pablo "The King" Escobar v Flavius Odoacer http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Pablo has kept Team Corporation on the winning ways with 2 second round TKO's in the first 2 rounds of this ITFL. Odoacer on the other hand has been stopped twice by TKO in this tournament. You do the math on this one.

Corporation Fight #3

Frank Damozzi v Lance "Last Chance" Legstrong http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Damozzi came into this tournament hoping to turn his losing streak around, ending it with a draw in the last round this tournament. In a classic striker v grappler fight, i guess the winner will be whoever can take the fight to where they want it. Legstrong can try to take it to the ground, but he has to try do it before Damozzi knocks him out!

Corporation Fight #4

Diego "The Gladiator" Bustamante v Giacomo "Kurina" Benvenuti http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

Wow! I am absolutely PUMPED for this fight! Muay Thai specialist Bustamante takes on former KT superstar Benbenuti. "Kurina" as he is known is the only fighter in Team Vendino to come out of Convicted. When you put two of the world's best strikers in the cage, someone is bound to go down. I can't wait for this one! Oh, and don't blink!

Corporation Fight #5

Bjorn "Ironside" Lodbrok v Ruslan Mstislav Volkov http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

My boy Bjorn hasn't had the best start to ITFL, losing his first 2 rounds (with his last loss being the wrong end of KO of the round). Bjorn now falls to 3 losses in a row. Will he bounce back? I believe Volkov better watch out because Lodbrok is a much better fighter than his last 3 fights indicates and i think he will be looking to make a statement against Volkov.

Corporation Fight #6

Paul "Scrap" Landen v Bosco "CageDawg" Brown http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg

"Scrap" got unlucky against the always dangerous Cabrera in the last round, so he will be looking to bounce back against Brown who has fallen to a career low 7 fight losing streak. I hate to see someone go on that bad a streak, but unfortunately after the next round it will become 8 losses in a row when my boy Landen knocks him into next week.

Corporation Fight #7

Brett Hartlock v Dorian "Terrier" Yates http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/menu_files/scout3.jpg*

* As of me doing his preview, Yates has yet to accept the fight.

Hartlock has come back from a first round loss to bounce back while Yates has lost his first 2 fights in ITFL. The Corporation didn't do so well in the first round but we bounced back to at least make our score respectable. As of me writing this preview, Yates has 4 days to accept the fight before he lets his whole team down by just giving up and showing the world what kind of man he is. He has had plenty of time to respond to the fight offer and he knew he was entering a long term tournament so hopefully he mans up and accepts the fight before the deadline.

And that my friends, is The Corporation's fights for this week!!

As mentioned earlier, make sure you stop by MMA Hype to get your official Corporation supporter gear!

And if you can't make it to London for the event, why not drop by Sully's Bar & Grill and relax with one of my cold beers while you kick back and watch it on one of my large HD screens!

But remember to drink responsibly! :drunk:

And remember...

James "Sully" McGuiness (237725)

(Update!)

It has since been confirmed that despite signing up as part of a team for a long term tournament, Dorian Yates has indeed declined the fight against Hartlock because he was too scared to get taken down in a MMA fight (I'll let that sink in for a second...)

As a result he has forfeited the fight and will be removed from the tournament, letting his whole team down for this round.

Vendino will find a replacement for the next round to take his spot.

Seriously, who the fook does that??? :OMG:

James "Sully" McGuiness (237725)

As part of The Corporation i feel i should put in my 2c about the Vendino v Corporation situation from this week, especially the Yates v Hartlock fight.

Well as you all know, Bitch Boy bitched out of the fight and let his whole team down, giving Team Corporation the win.

There was talk about replacing him, and while i agree Vendino need to replace him in the tournament, the fact is that picks were already made for this round and Yates was the one who punked out, not Hartlock. Yates signed for the tournament as part of a TEAM and when he bitched out he essentially tapped out before the bell. Yates fucked up this round for Vendino, not anyone from The Corporation.

Does it suck for Vendino? Sure. But hey, he was part of their TEAM. I'll tell ya something... if anyone from The Corporation pulled a stunt like that i would say the same about him too.

I'm James "Sully" McGuiness and you are all welcome at Sully's Bar & Grill.
