  1. Thanks for this as always Hare ❤️ I don't expect any decisions from my guys tonight. Fuller and Bard are both going to be hunting ferociously for a finish. Let's hope this card is nearly as good as the last!
  2. Destin’s Title Fight Spotlight Sucker Punch Pro Series 49 Bass vs. Igor: Destin: Hey guys! Welcome back to our Spotlight Series here at Sucker Punch! Ronnie, it’s Incredible that you were on the show back before it was cancelled; and you’re STILL here now that we’re bringing it back! Igor, congrats on earning this title shot! Destin: Ronnie – how does it feel to have such a history of dominance over your division? Igor, how do you feel about fighting a champion of Ronnie’s caliber? Bass: Well, it's great to be on top, that's for damned sure! Great to be here again. I haven't had a long run as champion, but was able to climb back to the top. So, I guess you can call it dominance, just never thought of it that way. I kind of like the sound of it Destin! Igor: Yes, we fought before in the original sucker punch tournament when I was the big favorite. Unfortunately for me, Ronnie got the big win there and I was stopped. It's great to get the chance to reverse that result. We’re a very good match up Destin: Ronnie “Dominance” Bass – rolls off the tongue pretty good huh!? Igor, it seems like you don’t care about Ronnie’s high hype and that you’re just excited to reverse the result of the prequal to this fight from early in your careers. Destin: Let’s get real here guys – we all know that Ronnie is a striker. He’s got a blue belt in BJJ opposed to Igor’s Brown belt. Ronnie, are you worried about fighting Igor on the ground? And Igor, is this a plan of yours? Bass: I've submitted plenty of fighters! Don't you see their heads tap the ground when I knock them out? But on the real, I am always worried about guys who are skilled in BJJ. But it's respect, not fear. I respect the skills of a good BJJ artist. My counter to his BJJ skills is simply my fist. I have to put him to sleep before he can grab and yank on my balls. Igor: Yank on his balls? What is this a fetish convention? Anyway Destin, nice try – I'm spilling no gameplan secrets tonight. I can go anywhere, and believe I’ll win tonight whether on the feet, or on the ground. Destin: LOL this is certainly NOT a fetish convention! We all know that cheap shots are allowed here though, so I would watch your back Igor. On an unrelated note from testicles - What’s something you guys respect about each other’s game? Igor: I guess so Destin. Well Ronnie obviously has real, natural ko power. He has definitely polished his skills in recent time. We know he is a good hammer but not sure about how he handles being the nail. We’ll see. Bass: Thanks Igor. I just respect that he's such a well-rounded fighter. We all know I'm a striker, and you asked me about his BJJ. So, he's known as a grappler. But that man is a striker too. He just approaches the fight differently than I do. He'll use whatever advantage he can find to win. So I respect that. Destin: “He’s a great hammer, but is he a great nail?” What a quote! Anything else you guys want to say before your scrap tonight? Bass: Destin, there is no such thing as an easy fight once you strap on this gold. This may be my toughest fight yet. Respect. (looks towards Igor) What do you say, let's bang bro! Let's on a show tonight! Igor: Sounds good to me Champ. Good luck tonight, let's get it on! Destin: Hell yeah guys! I’m getting hyped to watch this one! One more question – how is this bout going to end? Bass: Well, if you go into a fight thinking you won't win, you're already fucked. I'm gonna’ do what I always do, not let the judges have a say. That's HIS game. I'm gonna’ knock his ass out Destin! Igor: No no no no, this guy is wrong, don’t listen to him. I will win by ko/tko tonight. Just watch. Destin: If you two say so! After hearing you two speak tonight our fans and myself included will be expecting a BIG ko from one of you two! Well, thank you both for joining the show tonight and being here for our fans and org. Good luck in the cage later on!
  3. Oof. Always sucks when a fughter comes in with poor morale. Nemisis Steed has really got to stop slacking
  4. Destin’s Title Fight Spotlight Sucker Punch Pro Series 45 Landon McGuire vs. Sean Smith Destin: Hey guys! Welcome back to our Spotlight Series here at Sucker Punch! It’s great to have two fighters of your caliber in the room together with us. Let’s jump right into it. Our fans are all wondering, where the hell did Landon come from?? It seems like yesterday nobody knew his name - but then he came in and shook up the entire division by winning 3 fights straight and taking the 185lb belt. What's your secret Landon? Sean, does it bother you that he got a title shot so much sooner in his career than you? McGuire: I come from a good team and have really well-rounded skills and pick up things very fast in training. Add that to my granite chin and my power and I am a threat to anyone who steps into the cage with me. Smith is going to learn that the hard way. He let his manager talk him into a fight that he is not ready for. Smith: Man, this dude just had matchmaking on his side. That's all it is, really. When you get a shot a Wandy and make the most of it, that's all it takes. This guy basically walks in, beats a scrub, then somehow beats Machado, then beats another scrub, and now he’s here. Matchmaking at its finest. Destin: Sounds like Landon is taking the humble approach of thanking his team, and Sean doesn’t think he’s hot shit and is really just lucky to be here. For both of you guys, this is your first time fighting an undefeated opponent – Are you worried that the man you face tonight will be a tier above your past opponents? Smith: I'm not worried about what tier he is. I'm worried about executing my game plan. If he beats me, he is legit, but if not, he'll never get another run at the Championship. Maybe he should be worried about what tier I am on!! McGuire: Haha, nice joke Sean. I don't worry about anyone I fight. Like Sean said, I know what I can do, now I just have to go and do it. Smith is tough; no way you go 6-0 and not be tough. Anything can happen in a fight. It just takes one lucky shot and even the underdog can pull out a win, but that is what it will take for Smith to win - for me to make a mistake and get caught. He cannot beat me; I will only lose if I make a mistake. Destin: Wow, you guys are both incredibly confident! It’s really unfortunate that one of you will have to lose your undefeated record tonight. What’s one thing that you guys respect about each other’s game? McGuire: I respect that he has some good striking, and only been to a decision once. Not all fighters have toughness, but Sean has a little. Smith: I’m plenty tough. I respect that Landon has the guts to step in a cage with me! But his game ain't been proven. He hasn't been tested on the feet. I haven't been tested on the ground. We'll see what's what real soon. Destin: Oof, tough talk from Sean. Anything else you guys want to say before the fight tonight? McGuire: Good luck tonight. Also, good luck to my brother Guy River in his fight this week. Go out and put Logan away! We need 2 champs from River's Edge in here. Not to mention Darry Curtis just signed a long-term contract. We are going to take over 3 weight classes in the ORG. Smith: Your team aint’ shit compared to mine. I'm proud of my boys, and appreciate all the help getting ready for this fight. Mason Jones, Nyah Hirst, Brennan Brunswick and everyone at the Savage Krew gym. I fought hard to get to this position but couldn't have made it without my team. Destin: Your guys’ teams are definitely powerhouses for the org. One more question - how is this fight going to end tonight guys? Smith: Destin, someone is going to get finished tonight. I don't see either of us taking the easy way out. No man is unstoppable so tonight somebody will remain undefeated and another man won't be any more. McGuire: Yeah, about that Sean – This one is ending with me getting the win, either KO, sub, or decision. It doesn't matter, but there is no way you're walking out with my belt tonight. Destin: Alright! It sure sounds like you two are both roaring to get a shot at each other’s throat tonight, and we can’t wait to see how it goes! Thank you both for joining us here on the Spotlight, and good luck to each of you tonight!
  5. Destin’s Title Fight Spotlight Sucker Punch Pro Series 45 Thoth Chontamenti vs. ZaDarius Haden: Destin: Hey guys! Welcome back to our Spotlight Series here at Sucker Punch! It’s Incredible that you two were both on the show back before it was cancelled; and you’re STILL here now that we’re bringing it back! You two have both seen fantastic success so far in your careers. Destin: ZaDarius – It's rare that fighters earn rematches here for a belt, but you've done just that! ZaDarius - Since fighting Thoth over a year ago, he has gone on to win 3 fights straight. It's starting to seem to our fans that he's invincible. Are you excited that you may be able to steal that from Thoth tonight? ZaDarius: Yea Destin, I'm very excited to fight for the belt again, and to fight a great fighter like Thoth – and show what i can do. Destin: Nice. We’ll see what you’ve got tonight. Thoth, after defending your belt so many times, does it start to feel easy? Almost like you're invincible? Thoth: Actually, it's quite the opposite. Each time I defend the title, the higher the stakes are raised. The target on my back steadily increases and the pressure to adapt to each opponent is prominent. However, being a champion is what every fighter wants to be and I'll do my absolute best to be a champion for as long as possible. Destin: It sounds like you have the mentality to maintain that belt for a long time coming. Complacency is the downfall of most champions. Here’s a question for both of you guys – The first time you guys fought, Thoth won in mere minutes by forcing ZaDarius to tap with an ugly Kimura. What’s going to make this a different fight than your first meeting? Thoth: ZaDarius has improved a great deal since our first clash. He has worked diligently to become a BJJ black belt, just as I have. Additionally, he has learned more about himself as a fighter and understands what he can and can't do at this point in his career. I, too, have learned more about myself and should this fight become a battle of wills on the ground, we'll see who wants it more. ZaDarius: Yea, In the first fight i did not respect his BJJ as i should have, so I have worked hard to make sure my ground game is up to par. But I have also worked all of my, game and the way that I attacked back then is different from how i do it now. I have more weapons for Thoth to worry about this time. Destin: It Sounds like you guys are both ready for some grappling, which is my favorite part of MMA! It’s like a human chess match. What do you guys respect about each other’s game? ZaDarius: Everything. Thoth is a great fighter and champ. He just seems to do everything right. He does not seem to be afraid to fight anywhere, and mixes it up very well. He’s very well rounded. Thoth: Aww, thanks brother. I appreciate those kind words. Destin, I respect ZaDariuses aggression, and determination to finish an opponent with ground-and-pound viciousness. In that cage, you simply can't be trepid, nor second-guess yourself. The moment you do, you'll find yourself in a world of trouble. Haden is very confident and that's a large reason why he's once again fighting me for the title. Destin: I’m impressed with how well you guys are able to speak about each other! Not every fighter can maintain humility like you guys. Anything else you have to say to each other? Thoth: Everyone sees how hard you've worked and respects the victories you've earned. You and I both know that whomever makes the first mistake will be the one singing the regret song. If you want to prove you're the better black belt, I gladly welcome the challenge. ZaDarius: Your first win wasn’t about mistakes, it was about luck. Hope you don't think you're going to get lucky like last time. Destin: ZaDarius, you’re clearly confident coming into this fight and Thoth, you seem like you’re afraid of no challenge. How is this fight going to end guys? ZaDarius: It's going to be a hard fought war. Three or four rounds in, it’ll end TKO and my arms being raised Thoth: Haha! Funny. Destin, all I know is this will end painfully! Destin: Alright! ZaDarius calling the literal victory exudes confidence but, Thoth’s ominous message would have me pretty nervous for this one. Good luck to both of you in this championship fight tonight!
  6. Not cool. You obviously cheated with that shiny head. The glare caught Mike's eye and blinded him during the fight. Nice win, Mike's forte' is the ground game and you still caught him
  7. None of Y'all are shit compared to Beam. Landon is a good fighter. Great even. But Jim is on another level. Try to grapple with my boy and we'll see what a "developing" ground game looks like.
  8. I second that ^ Assuming it's Hare; he does a great job. Like the Christmas poster Papart posted above for example
  9. Sucker Punch Pro Series 355K in Sydney. Hare is an incredible owner and puts so much work into making his org. fun and engaging. He deserves all the praise
  10. Also have to put in high appraise for Hare Rumpler. He's incredibly consistent and his writeups are fantastic. https://www.mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=126014
  11. Kurt Cobain vs. Michael Aalto: Hey there fighters; welcome to the latest rendition of our title fight interview series here at Sucker Punch! My name is Destin, and I’m your host. Tonight at SPPS 22. Tonight, we bring you a title fight that’s special to my heart - 145 lb contenders Kurt Cobain (6-1), and Michael Aalto (4-0)! This one is extra special to me, because my very own fighter Destin Craven will be fighting the winner of this one for the belt. My own excitement aside - please welcome Kurt and Michael to this press conference! *Applause from the crowd* Destin: Hello gentleman; thanks for showing up tonight! Congrats to both of you for being deemed worthy of the chance to be named champion! How do you guys feel about the opportunity to be our first ever 145 belt holder? Aalto: Destin, I’ve got to say I was a bit surprised that this opportunity came so early in my career. But it's definitely nice to fight for a title. Cobain: For me, It's been a long time coming man. I love being here at Sucker Punch, and I'm so thankful that my manager Mr. Wittig convinced me to sign with the org. Now, it's time to prove they are good at finding talent and show the world what's up. Destin: Sounds like you guys know what this fight means for the org. Michael, you come into this fight with an undefeated 4-0 record. Kurt, you hold an arguably more impressive 6-1. What makes you guys think you’ll be able to beat your opponent tonight? Cobain: Yes, he’s 4-0, undefeated in MMA. but he has lost two fights in TWGC. All that means is, he can be beat. But since joining the MMA world, he's been impressive. Can't argue that. But he's never been up against a striker like me before. You’re gonna wear that first loss like a badge of honor Michael. He'll be my lucky number seven. Aalto: This guy is awfully good at talking. I'm confident in my skills. Cobain has more MMA experience than me, but he doesn't have my BJJ credentials. Destin: I can tell you guys have some respect for each other's skillset. Speaking of credentials - Kurt, all 6 of your victories have come from KO, and Michael, all of your 3 finishes have been by submission. Are you guys going to mix it up tonight, or simply keep doing what you’re doing? Aalto: We'll see where the fight goes Destin. You could look at it as the classic striker vs. grappler match-up. I've been working hard to improve my striking game, so I'm not too worried about Kurt’s hands. Cobain: You know, normally I wouldn't give information like this away. Strategies are secret until they are put into play in the cage. However, I have no intention of getting down on that filthy mat with him and man hugging. There's going to be all kinds of blood, sweat, and piss on that matt by the time our fight rolls around. No, I think I'll just make him KO #7 and welcome him into the MMA properly. Destin: Wow Kurt, you’re oozing confidence! I guess I don’t have to ask you how this one will end Cobain: *chuckling to himself* Donkey is the expert here, you should ask him. Man, you know how it's gonna end. 1st round KO. Aalto: Bullshit. I'll catch this guy napping, and then feel him tapping. Destin: I’m sure Donkey will love to hear that! You’ve got to watch out for Michael’s submission game though, or you might indeed be tapping. Well guys we’re almost out of time. Anything else before we go? Cobain: Look, Mike, tese things happen.. I know you're excited to see me in the cage and probably have a man crush on me. I'm used to it. But yeah, I've got something to say. Donkey, you know who to pick. Hare, thanks for giving me the shot at the belt, I look forward to keeping the hardware nice and shiny for you. And Mike, I hope you have a good insurance policy. You’ll need it after our fight. Aalto: Respect all around buddy. Love your music by the way. Destin: Alright guys, that’ll do it! Thanks again for showing up and good luck to both of you in your fight!
  12. Hey bud. For future reference, it is necessary for me to add/edit small bits of responses for the sake of congruency and flow before posting the spotlights. With that said, I just re-read our PMs. Here are the only 2 things that I edited or added to the spotlight that wasn't directly from your response. I changed your response, "Man, Konrad this is gonna be a war." to "Big talk for a challenger. This is gonna be a war buddy." I also fabricated your fighter saying "Yeah, good luck with that." when your opponent said he was going to take your belt. If that is such a big deal to you, then I recommend you don't show up to your future title fight spotlights. I apologize if you were expecting 100% verbatum instead of the 99% verbatum that is was in actuality. I assumed you would assume that, It required very slight editing in order to become a back and forth piece. On that note, Kfuhrer and LemmieInCoach, thanks for the kind words! In retrospect it was a little awkward to post it after the event when it's presented as a pre-event piece. I definitely won't make that mistake again. Can't wait until the next one guys, thanks for reading.
  13. Destin’s Title Fight Spotlight Sucker Punch Pro Series 18 Hey there fighters; welcome to the fifth rendition of our Title Fight Spotlight series here at Sucker Punch! My name is Destin, and I’m your host. Tonight at SPPS 18, we once again have TWO title fights on our card! In our Co-Main Event tonight, Boris Balkan (5-2) is challenging Thoth Chontamenti (5-1) for the 170lb belt. Then for our Main Event of the evening, Konrad Wagner (5-0) is challenging Ronnie Bass (7-0) for the 165lb belt. Only one man will remain undefeated! Without further ado, please welcome Thoth and Boris to this press conference! *Applause from the crowd* Thoth Chontamenti vs. Boris Balkan: Destin: Hey Thoth. Great to have you back on our pre fight show; congrats on being our first fighter to ever appear here twice! And Boris, welcome to the show! Boris, you’re the 26th ranked fighter here at SPPS and Thoth, you’re number 5. How do you guys feel about these rankings? Boris: Hello Destin, thank you for having me here on your show. I'm very happy to have my third fight here at SP, and I'm absolutely thrilled to have earned a title shot already. Thoth: Destin, I appreciate the warm welcome, and it's a pleasure to be back here. It's an absolute honor to be among the top 5 of this competitive and fast-rising organization. Like all warriors in this organization, the goal is to be the very best fighter and I know I have to train arduously and intelligently to give myself the best opportunity to achieve that goal. Destin: Thoth, you've proven yourself to be a real submission machine. Boris is also a brown belt in BJJ. Are you going to try to submit him like your last 4 victims, despite him holding the same belt as you? And Boris, do you think you can match Thoth’s ground game? *Both fighters looking at each other awkwardly for a moment* Thoth: Uh, me first? Boris: I think so? He asked you first Thoth: Oh, ok. Well Boris has proven to be a dangerous opponent in any given circumstance. While I obviously favor submissions, there's no doubt that making Boris submit will be a monumental task due to his excellent BJJ abilities. I'm always up for a challenge and if the fight ends up on the mat, we'll have to see which fighter has the greater passion and will to overcome the technically equal skills in BJJ. Boris: I'm not sure what i could say (laugh) Thoth is great all around fighter and I don't find him less dangerous on his feet than on the ground, neither i find myself less dangerous on the ground than on my feet. This is modern mma and I prepare for every situation, and I know my opponent do too. I certainly expect to find myself on the ground with Thoth at some moment and I'm sure in that moment all who wanted to present this fight like Thoth is seeking ground and Boris seaking to stand will see how wrong they were. Destin: Boris, If you win tonight, you very well could become a top ten fighter here at Sucker Punch. Meanwhile Thoth, if you win, you could potentially become the highest ranking fighter in our organization. Are you guys ready to fight on this stage, in front of 7,000 fans? What will be the next step for you guys after this? Thoth: An excellent question Destin, as there are many very worthy opponents in the heavyweight division here. Callum Neenan and Sith Rebel are in the upper ranks for a title opportunity so either of them. Naturally, I have to focus on Boris first because he has earned this shot and I know he'll do everything he can to leave that cage as champion. Oh, but I’m not nervous about this fight. I live for fighting and this is the biggest one I’ve had yet! Boris: Amen Thoth. We are both just young fellows bringing ourselves before new challenges. We don't even know yet if we are going to be mma fighters or to choose other careers. So, it's just like that, i enjoy my training, i enjoy my fighting and my momental popularity with the girls of course. But I'm definitely not making any plans at the moment, neither poison myself with ranks or scores. Just enjoy doing what i love Destin: How do you guys predict this fight will end? Thoth: I predict this fight will end in a decision as long as I keep my chin out of the line of fire. Boris: Yeah, AS LONG as you manage that… Thoth: Boris has devastating power and I'd be a fool to not have great respect for that. It will be a war tonight and pain will be felt. I just hope I can limit that pain while keeping Boris off balance long enough to where he doesn't turn out my lights with one clean shot to my chin. Boris: Kind words, humble champ. I will win, 2nd round KO. Just watch. Thoth: A second-round KO? You know what, I’ll make this fight end in the first round just for you. Boris: OK fine, first round KO, Boris. Happy now? Thoth: *Sighs* Listen Boris, I have no doubt you're going to push me further than I expect, especially with the hammers you call fists! You've undoubtedly earned the right to win this title but know this. I too plan on pushing you further than any of your previous opponents and I will make you dig very deeply into your will and guts, to see just what you're made of. I fully expect us to put on one hell of a show for the Sucker Punch fans and whoever emerges the victor will know damn well they have earned it! Boris: Agreed. *Face shoved in front of the camera* Thoth, hope you are ready to rock tonight mate! Destin: Ok guys! Thanks again for joining us tonight, and best of luck in your fight later this evening! Thoth: Thank you very much Destin! I'll take all the luck I can get!
  14. Destin’s Title Fight Spotlight Sucker Punch Pro Series 18 Hey there fighters; welcome to the forth rendition of our Title Fight Spotlight series here at Sucker Punch! Without further ado, please welcome Ronnie and Konrad to this press conference! *Applause from the crowd* Ronnie Bass vs. Konrad Wagner Destin: Hey guys, welcome to our Title Fight Spotlight series! Ronnie, congrats on winning the 170lb belt in your last fight, and Konrad, congrats for making it to the championship fight! Are you guys ready for this fight tonight? Bass: Thanks Destin! Am I ready? I'm always ready, but I ain't walking into that cage underestimating my opponent. He's going to be in that cage with me for a reason, and he won't make this an easy title defense. Wagner: Yeah Destin, I’m ready to take this belt from Ronnie. That is the purpose of challenging a champion, is it not? Ronnie, I do hope that you’ve kept the belt in sanitary condition, and that it is properly disinfected before being handed over to me. I don’t want whatever you’ve got. Bass: Whatever I’ve got? Germany has done much better than the US with this virus bullshit so I’m not sure what you’re getting at bud. Destin: Alright guys; Ronnie is the fan favorite tonight by far. In 7 fights, he's managed 7 KO's and not a single fight of his has gone into the second round. Our fans go nuts over his knockout ability every time they watch him fight. What do you guys think about that? Bass: Well, the fans already know what to expect. I line em’ up and put them down, and that's what I'll be trying to do again tonight. I love the fans, they rock, and their support means the world to me. If I can avoid him catching me with a powerful counter, I think I'll be looking at 8-0. But I am not taking him lightly, and no, he can't have my teeth. He's a damned good fighter, and probably even more technical than I am. Gonna have to give it all I got to keep my streak alive. Wagner: Wow, such a humble champ. Too bad our fans will really be talking about how Ronnie looked kind of dumb when lying unconscious on the mat after tonight. Yes, Ronnie has great ko power, but he has yet to fight a serious striker like me, and grapplers are not difficult to KO. Destin: Wow, that’s big talk! Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder and something to prove. What do you want to say to the fans and critics who seem to be ignoring you because they're so fascinated with Ronnie and his KO record? Wagner: Everything once comes to an end, and this tonight, it will be Ronnie's era of being a champion. Bass: Yeah, good luck with that Destin: Ronnie, After this fight, who do you want to take on next? Bass: You know man, I've really not thought about that. I don't look at our roster and think of who I'd like to test, or who I'd like to beat down. I just focus on my game, and my training, and the opponents will sort themselves out. As long as I wear this strap, there will never be a shortage of guys wanting a piece. Destin: How do you guys predict this fight will end? Bass: That's easy! Someone is getting KO'd tonight for their first loss, and I will be looking to dish that out in the 1st, as usual. Wagner: You’ve got the KO part right. ’m going to TKO your humble ass late into the second round. Bass: Big talk for a challenger. This is gonna be a war buddy. I know you're gonna bring it, and I sure as hell am too. So get ready ladies and gentlemen, there's gonna be a fucking slug fest tonight baby! Wagner: I won’t be called challenger for long. Keep your chin up, Champ, nothing bad can happen to it. Destin: Alright guys, that’s it for tonight's press conference! Thank you both for showing up, and good luck in your title fight tonight. May the best man win!
