Successful no-chins?

I assume most managers like myself sack their creations right away if they dont pop either granite or solid chin. To keep such a fighter generally guarantees you a career of unfortunately timed knockouts. But, occasionally maybe youll keep a fighter that gets KO power or big heart to test them out more, and maybe some will end up having a good career. Have you ever had a fighter that never popped even a solid chin, but still managed to put together a respectable career? Discuss!

I’ve had several fighters who popped heavy hands but not a chin who had a good career. Such as Ras Li Judah, Cheik Imbula.

Imbula has only been knocked out 3 times in 52 fights. I’ve had granite chins who’ve been knocked out many more times than that!

Determined/big heart is a sackable offence for me.

One of my old fighters, was #10 at one point and he won the AD, Herioc, GAMMA, STPF titles (all PPV level orgs at the time) he also competed for the EVO title (the biggest org at the time). His chin sucked balls. It was really easy planning the strategy with this guy, KO the other guy really fast or you will get KOed.

He ended his career with 50 KO wins vs 29 KO losses.

Only one i can think of because I usually cut with first sign of bad chin.

He did very well before Karter raped him.

10 KO losses and getting knocked down every 3 fights says has heart and some power, no chin lol

The KO losses are because of the weight class he is fighting at. It took me less than 3 mins to notice he has solid+ chin, really surprising for me that an experienced manager like yourself can't see it. Later if I get to a pc, i will post screenshots for you if you can't find the proofs by then :)

I simply disagree. Even for a HW, his chin isnt great. Ive had good chinned HWs before. Kuklinky has a big heart and a mediocre chin lets say then. I fight him a certain way due to me not trusting his chin, and I believe thats the only reason he doesnt have 20 KO losses.

Maybe our definition of good chins are different. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt good in my opinion. I could trust other HWs with good chins before not to get KOd often at all. Especially with that game plan, and physicals and standup secondaries completely maxed out.

Just an opinion thing, no need for screenshots I know what i think :)

I had a determined fighter that popped "KO POWER" only at his 7th fight...

If they popped determined, that means they literally have none of the other hidden possible, it’s the bottom of the hierarchy

Dude...

He didn't pop the solid chin on TOTT because he already had above sensational-- conditioning in his first fight, and Good gas tank tops good/solid chin in the hierarchy. Let's see:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=974866 - Umanouke popped solid chin in his very first fight.

Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Richard Kuklinsky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Also, never in his 42 fights, he got a message that "opponent has better chin" or "opponent has the power to get to his chin". At 265 it is easy to hurt your opponent, thanks to energy consumption, even if he has the best chin ever. Kuklinsky has a solid chin, despite the energy KO losses he has had so far.

Only fighter I can recall that pops KO power on the left and good chin on the right. It'll be interesting to see hiddens revealed.

KO power shows much easier on left TOTT than right TOTT, especially if the fighter has trained some strength. We have a term for something like this "fake ko power" - when a fighter pops KO power on the left side, but doesn't pop heavy handed on the right. I have seen it a lot - KO power on the left, very confident or determined or solid chin, even inexperienced, tends to cut on the right. Some strength + mediocre ko power hidden is enough to pop ko power on left TOTT from what I have seen. That's why for me it is imperative to do test fights with useless-- strength.

Okay, fine. I still dont think his chin is that great but I guess I dont have the interest enough the last couple years to notice or actually care to pay attention to those details, so.. I dont even change my sliders 75% of the time anymore sadly. He does have a better chin then I thought. My expectations for chin must be too high based on some previous fighters.

Here, he popped nothing at age 17 and never had any chin or heart, but always replied on KO power. This is a better example.
