A true BW in every sense of the word that hasn't stopped Martel from consistently stepping up in weight and fighting the very best fighters around. Let's take a look at some of the accomplishments over his glorious career to date ; Former SFO Montreal BW Champ - Defended his title 7 times Former 2X EFC BW Champ - Defended his title once during each of his two Championship runs Former EFC FW Champ - Won the title in his last fight for the company Current Eminence FW Champ - Defended his title twice to date Current Ascension LW Champ - Just won the title this evening #1 ranked BW, FW, and LW fighter Holds a win over current Ascension BW/FW Champ Ahiga Otaktay in a non title super fight Holds the bragging rights as the man to KO Skid Torres the fastest - Rd1 1:11 He just celebrated his 34th birthday on the 13th, and seems to still have plenty in the tank to finish his dream of becoming the #1 P4P fighter on the planet. Paul did win the rubber match and is up 2-1 in the series, but I think Martel has proven in the long run to be the better fighter. Rumour is Paul had kidnapped Martel's Thai lover during the second and third fights, and threatened his life, among other things, to have Martel throw the fights.
