Just finishing up the preview - Will post it the hour before the event.

Some interesting points on how many picks each fighter has

Slice 14 - 4 Gumption

Nixon 16 - 2 Beznisko

RTJ 11 - 7 Kaunismieli

Green 0 - 18 Doubdtfire

Puno 6 - 12 Frankels

Sackett 16 - 2 Spectre

Diggs 11 - 7 Glass

Larusso 5 - 13 Legions

GSG 14 - 4 Darkk

Ridgeway 8 - 10 Ibu

Just converted those numbers into percentages:

Slice 78% - 22% Gumption

Nixon 89% - 11% Beznisko

RTJ 69% - 31% Kaunismieli

Green 0% - 100% Doubdtfire

Puno 33% - 67% Frankels

Sackett 89% - 11% Spectre

Diggs 61% - 39% Glass

Larusso 28% - 72% Legions

GSG 78% - 22% Darkk

Ridgeway 44% - 56% Ibu

According to these predictions, out of 10 bouts decided by 18 votes, the closest to "coin toss" 50/50 contests are the Ridgeway vs Ibu at 44/56, followed Diggs vs Glass at 60/40, the rest seem fairly lopsided.

SUPERNOVA VIII

Live from Wombley Arena, England and in association with Aspire Clothing!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the biggest event of the year - SUPERNOVA VIII.

This is quite literally the most stacked card MMA Tycoon has seen in many years. Every single fighter competing on the card is a top 100 P4P fighter, with representatives from various top orgs in the world competing against Syn’s finest.

10 fights, all ranging in weight from 145lbs all the way up to the 265+lbs division, and each fight features some of the very best in their division.

We have got representatives from DARE, Pulse, CEC and GAMMA looking to cement their spot amongst the elite in MMA Tycoon.

Let’s get right into the action.

Our first fight of the night sees Syn Featherweight contender Mathew Ridgeway taking on DARE representative, Koh Ibu!

Ridgeway is a high action striker who has only won twice by (T)KO in the past 2 years. Adapting his strategy as he got older, moved weight classes, and changed management, he is now a pressure fighter who chips away at his opponents and grinds them to decisions. With former KT gold on his waist, he is a prolific striker, and his championship successes in USFC and GAMMA show he has plenty of fight in him, even at 35 years of age. He holds notable victories over Randy Springs and has had a series of entertaining fights against Vladimir Emelienko across both USFC and GAMMA, which Ridgeway leads 3-1 in.

Koh Ibu is the younger fighter, but by no means does that make him the underdog. Ibu has been knocking his opponents out cold in ruthless fashion, attaining a 6-2 record under his current management, with 4 of those coming via (T)KO. His most prominent fights so far have been his series against Junior Vilson, where Ibu is 1-2 but with all 3 bouts having exciting action. He most recently defeated former OFC champion Gary Tonon, and now looks to claim a victory against another competitive opponent.

The second fight of the night sees a Bradley Burns fighter take on another Justice League opponent, as Gauthier St. Georges takes on Ebeneezer Darkk.

GSG has a very different start to his MMA career compared to what you see in him today. Starting with the name Darius Gold, it was later discovered he was actually adopted under that name, before finding his birth name of Gauthier St Georges later on as he found his birth family. He went 3-1 under his manager Scooby Ali during that time, before signing with Burns management following his name discovery. A fantastic run in the EPL tournament, where he went 9-1-1 en route to a 3rd place finish, saw him enter the Syn Heir To The Throne tournament full of confidence. He defeated all 4 competitors as he claimed the Lightweight championship. He would suffer back to back superfight defeats to Euphegen Doubdtfire and Orlando Diggs however, and then lose his Lightweight title to Mordecai Sackett. He has won 2 in a row since then, and now looks to put himself into title contention by defeating his challenger from Pulse FC.

Ebeneezer Darkk is a former 2 time Primal Combat Lightweight champion, the last ever Aspire Lightweight champion, and is the current Pulse FC Lightweight champion. He’s very much in the mould of the high paced midget action, but can turn his strategy into a KO in the blink of an eye. While still young, he has got all the tools needed to become a top fighter in the world, and a victory in this bout would certainly help his case for being considered one of the best.

A rematch takes place for our 3rd fight of the night as Syn’s Bantamweight champion Daniel Larusso looks to progress to a Featherweight title fight, against Felix Legions who is looking to do the same thing.

Daniel Larusso, despite coming to what might be the tailend of his career, has shown no signs of slowing down. A former champion in Hostility and Destiny, he is also a 2 time Syn Bantamweight champion. With the division losing numbers, and Syn calling time on the division for now, he is looking to capture new gold in the Syn Featherweight title. He is the most experienced fighter competing on the card, with 60 competitive fights in his career, and his last fight against Legions being the first draw of his career. A win here would put him right in as the #1 contender, but it won’t be an easy task.

Felix Legions was one of the fighters that had a lot of promise when he signed with Syn, and he hasn’t let down since. Slaughterhouse, Budo Rei and HFC champion at varying times, he is undefeated since signing with Syn with a 2-0-1 record, showing impressive strategy and skills in the draw with Larusso. He comes from a solid management team, with Spezziale managing numerous top fighters, including former Syn Featherweight champ and #1 fighter Tuomari Hurmio. If he follows the same path as Hurmio, expect him to be one of the most dominant fighters in the game at some point.

A work in the background, and a public callout later, and we have two of the best Welterweight fighters in the world competing against each other as Syn WW Champ Orlando Diggs takes on CEC Welterweight champ Desmond Glass.

Orlando Diggs comes from one of the most notorious management teams in MMA, and he has the record to back that reputation up. 3 time Budo Rei Middleweight champion, and now a 2 time Syn Welterweight champion, and he is looking to hold onto the title for as long as he possibly can. As soon as Supernova was brought up, he wanted the best opponent possible, and made sure the media knew about it. Now he has a chance to launch himself back towards the top 10 P4P, and to prove he is the best fighter the Welterweight division has to offer.

Desmond Glass has slowly been building up in the MMA scene, and seems to be peaked at the perfect time to set up this incredible superfight. After defeating the best that AD had to offer, he joined CEC in their merger, losing to Hector Romero for the title in his debut bout. He has defeated Zane Mason, Hans Huber and Hector Romero in a rematch for the title since then, and he is now looking to add another top name to the list of fighters he has defeated in his career.

A Syn Lightweight title fight finishes off the undercard, showing just how stacked this card is as Mordecai Sackett defends the title against Serge Spectre.

Mordecai Sackett may be one of the most established fighters MMA Tycoon has ever seen. With a 33-10 career record, and 25 of those fights being for a title, a ridiculous 58% of his fights have involved a title. He has had 4 managers in his career, and held gold under all 4 of them. Under the legendary Barnabas Sackett, he held gold in 4 different orgs - Losing only 1 title fight in this whole time period. Under David Brent, he reclaimed his CFC title, but would later fail to capture EVO gold on 2 occasions. Upon moving to Shiv’s management, he would capture EVO gold in a different weight class, before moving down the weight classes to win Syn Bantamweight gold also. Under King Kendrick, he defended the title 4 times, before moving back up to the Lightweight division where he captured the title and has defended twice more since. A champion in 3 different weight classes, he is looking to cement a Hall of Fame career by defending his title again.

Serge Spectre, while not having as much of a decorated career, has defeated some of the best in the game today. He has wins over Hector Romero and Gareth Keenan and is 7-2 in his last 9 bouts leading into this fight. Again, managed by one of the most successful modern day lighter weight managers in Pablo Spezziale, he will be hoping his age won’t affect him as he enters the fight at the age of 37.

It’s the first of our Main Card fights, and it’s a huge bout as the 2017 Fighter of the Year Kajun Puno takes on a man looking to match his savagery in Rocket Bob Frankels “The Pagan Party Beast”.

Kajun Puno is the most recognisable fighter in modern MMA today. Holding a 21-3 record in his Heavyweight career, it’s even more impressive given he has taken on some of the biggest names in the entire division. At one point he had a claim to being the Syn, EVO and Underground champion simultaneously. While essentially semi-retired, he returns to the cage that his father, Fidel Puno, had his final bout, in what seems to be a story coming full circle. He had an unprecedented amount of success in the division that pits him alongside the likes of Rinky Spider and Leonardo Ferreira as the best fighter the division has ever seen. Now he takes another walk down to the cage, looking to end another fight on a high note.

Rocket Bob Frankels showed no fear in accepting the fight. With varying opponents possibly coming up, and different reasons coming into play, Frankels was the fighter chosen to take up this fight, which he did with immediate effect. A champion in Primal Combat and Aspire MMA, he made the move to Syn in the merge with Aspire, and suffered a Cuts loss to Slice in his debut fight. Despite the loss, Frankels wasn’t beaten of his own accord, and now is looking to get a rematch with Slice down the line. He will be looking to do what Slice did twice, by beating Puno in decisive fashion.

In what is becoming the biggest underdog fight on the card, newly crowned Syn Featherweight champion Blake Green takes on the #1 fighter in the world today, Euphegen Doubdtfire.

Blake Green has been thrust into the spotlight as of late. Primal and then Aspire two time champion, he moved to Syn in the merger and has been sought after ever since. Defeating De Bruyne, he then defeated Charlie Lim to capture the title, and has been called out by every notable fighter in the division since. He wanted to fight the best however, and so he is taking on the challenge of the #1 P4P fighter in the world. While he is considered a heavy underdog, with not a single prediction in the lead up pinning him to win, he has shown a lot of heart by taking on this fight, and has nothing to lose going into the bout.

There are not enough superlatives to describe Euphegen Doubdtfire. To put it into perspective, he was once 10-6-2 in his career. That record now stands at 32-8-2, and the victories include the biggest names in the lighter weight categories. The likes of Fook Man, Gareth Keenan, Karol Mirowski, GSG, Mordecai Sackett and Shogun Iron Tyson have all came up against Doubdtfire, and all of them failed to come away victorious. He is currently on a 15 fight win streak, all the more impressive given who his competition has been, and if he continues at this pace, will be considered a forerunner for the Fighter of the Year award, and in the reckoning for one of the best fighters of all time. Despite all the media labelling him an overwhelming favourite, he will be avoiding complacency and ensure he gets the job done.

Our other title fight of the night sees the reigning Middleweight champion, Russell Tyrone Jones take on the man he defeated for the belt, Kalervo Kaunismieli.

Russell Tyrone Jones is a former 2 time MMA Helsinki Middleweight champion, an Aspire MMA Double Weight champ (170 + 185), and is the current Syn Middleweight champion. Half of his fights have been a title bout, with 13 contests and RTJ holding an impressive 9-4 record in those bouts. Being the Aspire Middleweight champ, he took on Kaunismieli upon moving to Syn, and established himself as the top fighter of the division by dethroning the previously dominant champion. He took on Zeus Obliteratii in a superfight since then, defeating him also with a second round cuts victory. Now he takes on Kaunismieli once more, looking to prove the first time wasn’t a one-off, and show he is the real deal when it comes to the Elite of the division.

Kalervo Kaunismieli is a fighter I know very well, as he is a former two-time Trinity Middleweight champ, and a Hall of Famer with the org also. He experienced an indifferent start to his Syn career however, going 3-4-1 in the org before going on a fantastic run of results. 6-1 in his next 7 fights would earn him a shot at the title, where he defeated Wilder Wein, previously a dominant champ himself, to become the Syn Middleweight champion. He held the title for just 1 day shy of 6 months, before the first fight RTJ saw him lose the title. With a rematch on the cards for a while, he defeated Achab Denis rather than be inactive while RTJ fought Zeus, and now he is looking to reclaim the gold in what is sure to be a hell of a fight.

Our Co-Main Event is another superfight as Syn’s Light Heavyweight champion Evil Nixon takes on CEC’s Light Heavyweight champion Sergey Beznisko.

Evil Nixon’s dominance throughout his career is simply astonishing. Starting his career -1-1, he signed with GENERATION, where he would go 5-0 to earn a title shot with a career record of 11-1-1. His opponent for the title was Cingeto Ysengrin, and if that name sounds familiar, it’s because he was one of the fighters that was managed by Wolf during his spell of skill boosting. Despite the skill and hidden boosts, Ysengrin still failed to beat Nixon, who won with a dominating 50-45 scoreline from 2 judges, and 50-46 on the other. He joined EVO in a merger of the two orgs, continuing his dominance as he went 6-1 to bring his record up to 18-2, before joining Syn where he has remained since. He defeated George Pedro in his debut to win the title, before going 0-1-1 to Grigol Pandahammer as he lost the title. 2 more wins earned him a rematch with Pandahammer, who he knocked out in the 5th round in what is one of my personal favourite fights of all time. He lost a superfight to Alex John Conor Burns in a superfight following this, but has remained undefeated since with 7 consecutive title defences. Now he comes into this bout looking to prove that he is just as good as his record suggests.

Sergey Beznisko has an indifferent start to his MMA career, going 7-6 under his initial manager. Since being picked up by Mike Hunt however, he has been making major strides in his career. A 2-2 record in CCR, where he won the title, preluded his CEC career where he has called home since. A 4-1 record saw him earn a shot at the title, where he defeated Alex John Conor Burns twice, to win and retain the title and shoot him into stardom. He would lose the title to Ras Li Judah, but reclaimed it quickly with 3 wins after that loss. Now he is looking to cap off his remarkable rise by defeating the #1 Light Heavyweight in the world.

Our Main-Event is a huge Super Heavyweight bout pitting the Syn Heavyweight and Super Heavyweight champion, Kimbo Slice, against the GAMMA Super Heavyweight champion Bubba Gumption.

Kimbo Slice, like many people on the card, has enjoy a meteoric rise to the top. He would go 10-2 before signing with Aspire MMA. After winning the title in his debut, he would leave the org in questionable circumstances after losing to Rocket Bob Frankels. He would next show up in Combate Fighting Championships, winning his 3 fights there before moving to Syn. After losing to Obelix De Gaul, he would defeat his teammate Bull Hurley before defeating De Gaul for the Syn SHW championship. He overcame a second round flurry from Bob Brophy to retain the title in what was the only decision victory of his career, before taking on the challenge that really launched him as a star. He became the first man to defeat Kajun Puno in over a year, and repeated the feat again in a rematch. He avenged the loss to Rocket Bob Frankels by defeating him, and also defeated Robbie Luatua in his most recent fight, setting up this monumental bout between the two best big men in the game today.

Bubba Gumption is a 3 time GKNY Super Heavyweight champion, and a 2 time GAMMA Super Heavyweight champion. He built up a 17-3 record fighting in Tradition, Havoc and GKNY before being brought up to the GAMMA org. Going 2-0 to kick off his career there earned him a shot at Gerbert Bryant, who he would lose to in the 2nd round. Another 2-0 run earned him a rematch, which he won via Unanimous Decision to win the championship. In the rematch however, Gumption would suffer a 5th round KO loss. He lost his next fight also, but since then has been on nothing short of a tear through the GAMMA ranks. Victory over Arthur Curry earned him another title shot, where he defeated Charles DaCoca for the title. Since then he has defeated Mitzi Gloman, Hennan Hoyce x2, Brandon Simmons and Gerbert Bryant to establish himself as the kingpin of the division, and now he is looking to claim world domination by taking on the only man above him in the rankings for his weight class. Win or lose, this fight is going to be absolute fireworks.

We hope you all enjoy the event, and a reminder to check out the Preview video done by John Hetfield if you haven’t already. It took a lot of organising to get this done, so I would like to thank a few people in getting this all done.

CEC , GAMMA , Pulse FC and DARE for allowing their fighters to compete.

All of the managers of the fighters for getting things accepted quickly.

And finally to John himself for the Video and Poster for the event.

Best of luck to all fighters competing at the event!

Some incredible results which will shape some of the W/C Rankings for a while to come on the event. I'm also extremely proud to say that, by the numbers, it was the biggest Syn event of all time.

Just on the predictions, nobody got all 10 fights correctly, BUT, Skenoj correctly predicted 9 of the 10 results so I will send him a prize for that later on today.

Diggs face, all extra pretty and flawless from the lack of damage thrown by pillowy fist, points at Desmond Glass's bloodied face and laughs.

"That dude couldn't crack an egg. He's soft. Ya'll awarded him for playin' patty cake. Look at his face, look at mine. It wasn't even close."

Engine needs adjusting. Desmond Glass would of had his legs broken, especially with that bum alliance's cookie cutter settings. If the fight engine adjust a lot of bums that creeped to the top using cheese sliders will fall off quicker than Kevin Spacey.

GSG and Ridgeway are gonna make a lot of managers disappointed they picked against them :)

I'm surprised, like 4 or 5 people have picked Darkk over GSG lol

& Ibu is gonna get cracked, Ridgeway is still a much better fighter.

What were you yapping about over there Burns? GSG got shit on, as expected because sliders! As well as Ridgeway. That's a failed attempt at shit talking if I've ever seen one.

I take these on the chin, I expected to win and am very disappointed I lost. I didn't back it up sadly.

Don't take shit personally, I like to try and make the forums a little more interesting with some friendly trash talk :)

Don't lie, you went accuracy/agressive too.
