Once we agreed on the rules for over a month of brainstorming we could not change them just because of a lack of candidates and as documented would have been ok with not giving the new manager award as opposed to changing the rules during the nomination process. A few ideas were also brought to the table during brainstorming but if they did not receive the backing of the community we did not apply them whether it was a new manager or a tenured one like Chuck or Mentor. In the past I had noticed that some people influenced more than others and it always pissed off people and near the end of the awards we were left with the consensus that the awards should be just forgotten the year after. Already we have much better participation than the past 2-3 years, we might not be able to bring the good old days back and hundreds of extra players but we will bring back honour and transparency to these awards. This has been an ongoing issue unfortunately and many threads exist to talk about this friends. On rare case the culprit will admit it like Alex K did after I believe Rufus accuses him of multi tasking. Might bump that thread but prefer to let those dark days be bygones. It is indeed a lot of work and Hei Long deserves it based on his performance. I thought the first few votes for the chair were funny but entire alliances colluding to make the chair win and thus hurt Hei Long’s feelings is just bad form. No one else is complaining on the other yearly award threads as much really. Thanks to everyone that did vote for me because I wouldn't have won it without them. I did play MMA Tycoon before 2019 however it was for only about 4 fights and I quit the game in only two weeks once my fighter got his teeth kicked out by another managers sprawl and brawler who owned a private gym (which ironic because now I have one lol) granted I do believe that I qualified for this reward because when I started this game last July I started with a 19-0 win streak and entered the top 100 in just three months with help from my former mentor Tev Clark the owner of Underground and from help within the alliance as well and right now I'm at 47-11 and many of my losses are against top 50 managers so I'm facing better competition at 47-11 so even if I didn't win I think just qualifying was enough tbh. .
