Rules are pretty simple: -Vote for the best in each category of the awards Fighter of the Year Fight of the Year Submission of the Year Knockout of the Year Prospect of the Year -You cannot vote for your own fighter or fight -The Prospect of the Year is going to be for the 145, 170, or 205 division at least for the first year. -The Prospect of the Year can win the Fighter of the Year award if voted so. -There will be only one winner for each award, not one for each division -Voting will end on January 12th -Post your votes on this thread Ex. Fight of the Year- N/A Fighter of the Year- N/A KO of the Year- N/A Submission of the Year- N/A Prospect of the Year- N/A Everyone try to vote. sstack04 Posted December 30, 2019 Report Share Posted December 30, 2019 New to MMA in late August so I don't have a load of experience. Fight of the Year- Finn The Human vs Coral Sea, WPFA 8. Non stop action for the entire three rounds. Fighter of the Year- Ivan Samsonov. Undefeated, won the belt in August and has successfully defended it since. KO of the Year- Jimmy Fothergill. Way back to WPFA: Hellraising, this one was hilarious and brutal. All before the 13-second mark of the first round, Fothergill cut Mike McMonster with a slap, then knocked him down with a combo, rocked him with a hook, then ground him into a TKO. Submission of the Year- Jani Koskinen. First fight, slipped an early clinch attempt and blammo. Prospect of the Year- Ademaro Dos Anjos. 170 lb champ, absolutely dominant wins. Jani to me is the fighter of the year. He has terrorized the division with nasty finishes. Anyone who defeats Bolo twice in a year deserves this award. Fight of the Year- Pupp Eye vs Ryan Smith A five round war that Ryan took with a close decision victory. Pupp Eye isn’t in wpfa anymore so fuck him.
