  1. Watching this makes me feel like I went 20 years in the past. It's like MMA is going backwards.
  2. After his fifteen minute victory over Juillius Caesar at UPF 5, heavyweight contender George Lincoln was stopped by a local reporter. He answered a few questions, and we were able to get a summary of the transcript. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w8.jpg Reporter: How did it feel to get a win in your Ultimate Pit Fighting debut? Lincoln: It felt really good. It wasn't the way I wanted to win but it takes two to tango as they say, and the important thing is that I walked away the victor. Reporter: Do you care to elaborate on your comment that it takes two to tango? Lincoln: Well if you saw the fight, then you know that one of us showed up to fight, and the other showed up to hug. All he did was try to tie my up and get me to the ground to play jiu-jitsu. My resume speaks for itself. I'm there to punch faces and get paid, on the ground or standing. I hit him and he didn't like it so he opted to hug. I clearly won the fight but he deprived me of smashing him properly. Reporter: Being that the UPF has just started up again, all the titles are up for grabs, and there are rumors of you possibly getting the title opportunity. Do you think you're ready for that after just three professional fights? Lincoln: Three professional fights combined with four years of college wrestling, yeah I'm ready for this. I'm just as good as any heavyweight in the UPF and that's a fact. Reporter: One last question, the crowd booed you when you came out to your fight, is there any back story to that? Lincoln: They must have been confused because I was fighting an Italian, and last I heard, Hawaii is a part of America. Why they would boo me, I have no idea. Maybe there's bitterness that people forget about them all the way out in the Pacific, or that everything's so expensive over here. I'm here to stay though right now, so they better get used to me, and soon enough they'll have to get used to calling me the UPF Heavyweight Champion!

  6. Hello. New to the site as of a few days back, been a fan of MMA since 2002. Interested in maybe writing previews of fight cards for an organization (could only probably do one organization as I work 45+ hours per week). Going to play it out over the first few weeks and see how things go. Expect big things!
  7. Agreed. Karyn Bryant is worse though, in my opinion. Maybe she's paid to ask those questions, but some of them come across as either insulting or like she's deliberately trying to get a rise out of the fighters.
  8. I think a lot has to do with substandard fighters compared to seasons past (except Season 16 or 19). You have eight fighters from the same weight class at the same school. Typically how many fighters from the same school and the same weight class in the UFC at the same time? My bet is it's closer to 2-4 rather than 8. One good thing: crowd energy. I dig the crowds at the schools showing up because quite frankly, they've elevated some of worse fights to slightly mediocre.
