"Elon Musk wants to create a brain-machine interface that helps humans "achieve a kind of symbiosis with artificial intelligence."

Neuralink — Musk's secretive company that's developing a brain-machine interface — gave a presentation Tuesday that outlined its first steps toward this building this technology, which it's been working on for the past two years. The main reveal? Flexible "threads" that record neuron activity, and a machine that inserts these threads into the brain.

The goal is to build an interface that enables someone's brain to control a smartphone or computer, and to make this process as safe and routine as Lasik surgery. Currently, Neuralink has only experimented on animals...."

In Sweden they are already plenty of borgs - people have chips implanted into their hands to pay for things. Elon wants brain interfaces so one day you can be linked to the interweb. I’m sure it’s coming. Advanced eyesight, muscles, drug secretors. Face recognition for when you meet people. Google maps in your eyeballs. It’ll be great, until it goes wrong and the system crashes! Peoples’ memories already have changed fundamentally due to not needing to remember phone numbers etc. But we do remember where we’ve stored them on the computer systems.

Millennials don’t know a time before the cyber revolution. Cyborgs will be our species’ future, apart from neo-luddite traditionalists.

If u can't beat 'em? Swedes are on it! If u like borgs, you will dig a psi-fi series called Real Humans.

Seriously though, AI could be used to solve global issues. Humans can't figure out or rather haven't the time or inclination to put into practice humane ethics, however they would invest trillions in building an AI that can build other AI's that could do.

I started reverse training. I don't do spell checks and have as many automatic functions uninstalled in order to get my brain back to how it used to work before all this hoo haa. It has been working. U can sort of reverse hack your mind, but it takes a shit load of effort and much more time (to start with). A thing that most people don't have.....that and patience. (Despite all this technology we create in order to make things more efficient, humans tend to use that spare time to be lazier; essentially doing less of anything.)
