Improve Yearly Award Voting and Forum Activity

I think we should send out a game wide mail with links to all the nominated categories so all members game wide have a chance to vote on each award and see the forums. Include a link to the forums that registers the new members who click it. Use their first post as record.

On top of and included into this game wide mail Mike should offer some type of incentive to non forum using members to come and use the forums.

If a member has never used the forums before and make their first posts in response to the awards voting / Forum Activity mail from Mike, you get 3 free VIP days for being active in the game community.

Now on top of getting more members to vote this will also bring more members into our forums thus helping the game itself gain more active members.

Every year our awards are voted for and decided on by around 50-100 managers out of 6k.

I know 100 members voting is a high number as we don't have 100 members use the forums but lets just say 100 members vote out of 6k this would mean 1.66% of our game members vote on the awards. Think about this percentage 1.66% that is not productive and very Bias.

Increasing member activity will increase the rate of new members. If your reading this its up to us the 1.66% to create and maintain a fun game environment and being active in our community is the best way to accomplish it.

Now to show my love for this game I will donate 1 VIP day for every new member who uses the game forums do to the game wide mailer Mike sends out from my account to help Mike pay for the voting / forum use incentive Mailer.

I do not feel we should ask Mike to pay for this so I will turn to my fellow forum members. Who is willing to join me and take a VIP day off your account to help our game? 3 of us could increase forums activity and new memberships in a few short months.

I believe he sent out a mailer saying to go vote but it did not address forum use or ad an incentive for doing so.

Clicking the forum link already does create an account automatically. That is why I had an issue where there was another Madness 5 years ago. I was forced into a forum account that already existed with no idea what the password was. Mike obviously deleted the old account so next time I clicked the link it created the forum account again as new. Also, isn't spin and win already incentive to use the forum? I won fighter slots and have my eye on a free jet, personally.

I'm all for anything that brings new players to the game. I would be glad to donate some VIP days to this.

While Madness is completely correct, it wouldn't surprise me if people viewed spin and win as a tertiary element of the game and don't understand the usefulness of say a new fighter slot or a private jet. This topic has made me reconsider the structure of the Panopticon (Project Illumination All-In-One Guide) and the "Your first day in MMATycoon" section will have a specific note on the value of the forums directly after the visual explanations of the UI.

I think all these nominees should be in one thread because now its a complete mess. Just make one thread and add all nominees in a list and manager can just add what they think in every spot.

I disagree. Having everything in one thread would make everything too hard to keep up with as people would be posting over each other and everyone would have to post which specific category they are nominating for. Having them all separate allows each category to be taken care of cleanly.
