Im looking forward to witnessing the agony of an untested fighter getting smashed fortnightly goes down with half of the entrants. Manager rank down the drain and the futility, humiliation and agony of drawn out torture.

Who will cut and run first?

Gonna be awesome.

I count just 5 out of the 20 fighters tested. 3 good chins, 1 granite, 1 heavy hands. 15 gamblers! It's gonna pay off for some of em, but for others....

personally i find not testing more interesting now days -- luck of the draw instead of making 10 fighters to find that one keeper, the perfect fighter -- use to be that way but after so long more of just go with it type -- all the micro managing and making sure everything is perfect takes some of the fun out of it -- taking a crappy fighter and making them win and beat fighters with great hiddens is was more fun -- still remember old school manager bubbaganioush (bubba somthing close to that) played the game few years and did great with all his fighters and never cut one due to hiddens or learning speed, he stuck with them and won with them most of the time -- mad respect for that, instead of being so picky and only keeping perfect fighters

Anyone heard from Scooby? Everybody has accepted apart from him. Hope all is fine with him.

Obviously I hope Scooby shows up, but I think for the sake of the tourney you should define the rules you will follow if/when fighters don't show. Now rather than later.

To reschedule the fight is one option, but that will make things difficult if fights get more and more staggered. Fights should be on time anyway, so that we all get the same training and rest.

The other option (better IMO) is to award the fight as a win to the manager who accepted the fight. The question then is how many points do you award?

It's all up to you of course. Just saying you should define the method you will use before it happens so that the rules are clear.

If a fighter does not show up on fight night, his opponent gets a decision win as a result of the no contest, while the fighter who missed the fight will get -2 in the standings.

If a fighter misses a fight for the second time, he will get thrown out of the tournament and will receive a brutal and unofficial beating by myself, in the basement of the venue.

You aren't going all Zed from Pulp Fiction are you Bjorn? Because no one wants to end up in that basement ;)

The only thing you're going to eff up is my training schedule. I'll do you a favor and end this quick. One simple takedown and we can all get back to the gym on Monday.

GBK was going to write a preview for the tournament, but ever since he said that, he has not replied to my messages anymore, so seems unlikely that he will do so on time.

If I somehow can find the time for it tomorrow, I will try to put something small together but no promises.

Believe me, I am just as dissapointed as you guys, probably even more...

It was splendid!

The event awards have already been handed out and all fight offers for the next event as well! :)

I will write a short recap of the event on here tomorrow.

I won't say I should have won KO of the night.. But Kristus v Stevenson was great. Went a whole 7 minutes, with both fighters getting rocked.

NY FIGHT NIGHTS : Legends tournament round 1 RECAP

Fans from all around the world had been waiting for the tournament to kick off and well, the first event did not dissapoint at all!

Scooby was not able to make it to this event, but hopefully will be back at full force from the next event on.

His no-show made that there was a total of 9 fights on the card, and they were all actionpacked.

Let me just give you the simple figures:

9 fights, 9 finishes, 8 of those in the first round and in less than 2,5 minutes.

Legendary stuff, created by legends!

Special mention to the best KO celebration seen this year:

Webb is aggressively charging in as Brent backs up avoiding any damage. Brent tosses out a jab and Webb runs right into it face first! Webb is out cold! Brent dropped down on all fours and is barking in Webb's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Brent!
David Brent seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

Special footage of me during 99% of the event:

Those of us who have fighters with no great hiddens will continue with pride because real men don't test.

Testing managers are scientifically proven to be lamers.*

*Source.

"If a lifetime studying physics has taught me anything, it's that MMA Tycoon managers who test before tournaments enjoy Coldplay, use fragrance soap, and have girly arms." - Leonard Susskind, University of Stanford, speaking to ESPN in 2016.
