Ground sliders

Probably something I should have asked/looked into/figured out long ago....But, insight on the differences/advantages of:

So, I figure that sliders more toward top means they will attempt to advance position more often or always toward either mount or guard top stick positions and sliders more toward bottom would be guard bottom...

for a GnP guy I would imagine the number one position would be mount followed by guard top? Bottom position for a sub guy? whats about side control and half guard?

Ok...So, maybe nevermind I was reading the user guide on this...so, instead lets adjust my question toward....is it better to leave stick position to back/none (default) or Should I set it to say...mount or side control for a GnP guy or something? What positions is best for subs?

Safest position to stick is probably side control. Some GnPers prefer half guard. Full mount seems like the easiest position to sweep from bottom. Also, if you go for subs, armbar is probably the most common sub from mount, and when it fails you often end on the bottom.

If we are talking about indiviual positions, most subs come from bottom guard. But if we look at top vs. bottom, all the combined top positions appear to get more total subs.
