Aspire Island is currently a 317k ID, 25 years+ organisation operating out of The Island, as part of the Aspire brand you can expect the same quality of service & attention found across our other companies with both JB90 the founder of our organisation and myself, Adam Holland the CEO of our mainland org Aspire MMA directly involved in the running of the promotion.

http://oi1290.photobucket.com/albums/b522/TJMitchell/Aspire%20Island%20Logo_zpszaegcabu.png

The Situation:
Aspire Island will be an MMA-focused organisation, regarding our age range after careful consideration we feel that the island represents one of the very worst locations to try and develop a prospect fighter due to the lack of great training facilities, supplements & clothing available early into the season.
As such we have made the decision that our organisation will focus on 25-year-old's and above with a view to getting the very best in-cage action we can out of our Island fighters for the duration of the season. This may end up being a turn-off to many players who would like the opportunity to create 18-year-old fighters but we truly feel this is the best decision for us and we hope you agree.
We want you to feel like you can drop in and drop out of the action all season long, and with the limited training speeds and facilities available setting ourselves as a 25 year old organisation should provide this feel, allowing people who already committed to join KT tournaments on The Island the chance to join us as their fighters fall out of the tournaments and they release them as such freeing up a slot.

A Commitment To You:
Lastly I would like to talk about our commitment to you the managers, we are committed to providing you with excellent service, our actions represent the values our brand are built upon and we hold that in the highest of regards so you can be sure when you deal with any of our staff you will be treated with fairness, honesty and respect.
The day to day operation and booking of the promotion will be handled by Aspire MMA founder JB90 with the support of the entire Aspire Alliance to ensure someone is always on hand to deal with any issues you may have.
Write-up's will be delivered by myself, Adam Holland on a weekly basis, while the intention is not to cover all ten fights we do intend to cover the main event, co-main event and a selection of standout fight's each card with the same high-quality standards you have become accustomed to from Aspire MMA.
The Rules:
Style - MMA
Age Restricted - 25 years+
Divisions Open - 135lbs, 145lbs, 155lbs, 170lbs, 185lbs, 205lbs, 265lbs and 265lbs+.
Pay Scale:
Initially, contracts will be for 3 fights only to allow managers to confidently test fighters in our organisation and feel no remorse if they decide to cut them.
Phase 1 contracts will represent the difficult financial environment Island orgs face in the initial weeks of operation and as such will be limited to 1/200/200 for the 3 fight period.
Phase 2 contracts will be much the same as Aspire MMA via a P4P pay scale aimed at providing the fighters with enough money to sustain the best possible public training The Island has to offer.
Phase 3 contracts By this point your fighter will be well established and financially self-sufficient, we will offer to extend the P2 deal and deliver signing bonus's and base pay for the duration of the contract direct to your manager account on the mainland should you request it.
Event Review Links:
The following links will jump you directly down to the corresponding event review, be aware our reviews are split across three posts due to posting restrictions.
Thanks for reading:
I encourage you to use this thread to talk about the organisation, any desires you may have, title shot call outs and general smack talk are all welcome, write up's of our events should start to be posted here after within 24 hours of an event taking place in-game.

Cheers :)

Definitely sending some fighters to Aspire! Hope that's cool considering I work with the regular org?

You are more than welcome to take part as you have no direct connection to the Island org, I myself have made it a habit not to fight in my own organisation and will continue not to do so on The Island but other members of Aspire can and will take part if they aren't involved in the day to day running process of this particular org.

Kormack "The Alpha" Omega

"The Alpha" has arrived in Aspire! It seems like upper management has given me a rather easy victim to begin. No matter, I will destroy this so called "Android" and show everyone in the Red Ribbon Army what true destruction looks like. Fourteen, you said "once you were done knocking heads, I'm next", well it looks as though you couldn't even beat a simpleton so how do you expect to beat "The Alpha"?

A wise man once said to defeat the "alpha" you must cut off his head...or talk to it's significant other so I shall talk to your significant other??

Not,ill use you as a punching bag until I punch holes through your head and body?

135lbs: Tare Tappe vs Henny Verhoeven

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17b19.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w9.jpg

Age: ??? Age: 25

Height: 187 cm Height: 172 cm

Weight: 135 lbs Weight: 141 lbs

Record: 0-0-0 (-----) Record: 0-0-0 (-----)

Pre:

In our main event, we have previously unknown striker Tare Tappe facing off against BJJ standout Henny Verhoeven famed for his long-running online "Elite Rolling Techniques" itube series popular amongst aspiring practitioners of BJJ.

There seems to have been some controversy with The Island's athletic commission with claims made against the authenticity of the birth certificate of one Tare Tappe but an emergency court hearing earlier today ruled their are "unsatiated suspicion and a lack of definitive proof to prevent the fight at this time" with many fan's speculating on social media that the fight could be ruled a no-contest posthumously if Tappe fails to provide accurate documentation before his next fight, inside sources within Aspire MMA suggest an internal investigation of The Island's operating policy were now set to take place in light of the accusations, more on this story as it breaks.

Fight:

Verhoeven looks in good shape as he moves out to start things off but Tappe is looking for a surprise takedown, initially deflecting the attempt well utilising his significant wrestling advantage having represented The Netherlands at a national level and been the heavier of the two fighters Verhoeven looked confident in defending the action until a slipping on a patch of blood left from the previous fight and finding himself firmly on his back in guard with Tappe now ontop.

Verhoeven almost with a smile on his face showing impressive situational awareness looked to try and improve his position escaping his hips and seeking a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tappe is defending well. Verhoeven quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tappe has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Verhoeven celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Follow the fight Verhoeven took to the microphone and had this to say "You put this kid in front of me and look shocked when I destroy him in 18 seconds? fuck is this. Check this guys paper work out, I'm here to fight the best and this wasn't it".

Reports suggest following the fight Aspire officials came to discover Tara Tappe had fraudulently produced a document of birth certification that had later proven to be a forgery leading to this most unfortunate of miss-matches in a clear violation of Aspire MMA's operating licence for The Island's current season, as a result Island Aspire has been fined an undisclosed sum by the parent corporation and the state athletic commission with sources close to the Aspire headquarters in Los Angeles reporting CEO Adam Hollands fury at the revelation.

Winner - Henny Verhoeven by way Submission (Armbar) : Fight Rating 100%

185lbs: Mister Hankey vs Tyron Woodley

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42a8.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w31.jpg

Age: 25 Age: 25

Height: 180 cm Height: 176 cm

Weight: 184 lbs Weight: 182 lbs

Record: 1-0-0 (W----) Record: 1-0-0 (W----)

Pre:

Mister Hankey scored a decisive TKO (Strikes) victory over Pat Miletich at the amateur Quick Fight Championship in the closing seconds of the very first round to kick-start his MMA career and looks set to face off against Tyrone "The Chosen One" Woodley in the co-main event of Aspire Island's very first event, Woodley currently 1-0-0 following his three-round decision victory over Tory Lanez also at the amateur Quick Fight Championships takes on the biggest test of his career with questions raised about his chin in his bout against Lanez, who will go 2-0-0? let's find out!.

Fight:

Woodley darts in to close the distance before shooting for a successful takedown attempt, remaining calm Hankey seemed happy to control the action looking to defend rather than progress as Woodley reigned down a number of big shots that failed to find their target, Hankey's doing well to avoid the incoming damage but theirs really not enough activity to justify the situation and the referee having previously warned the fighters twice is forced to reset the action to the standing position.

Hankey ceases his opportunity and immediately pressed Woodley into the clinch, delivering a series of solid knees to the midsection before launching a powerful looking knee to the head that left Woodley gushing blood from his forehead it looked like Hankey's impressive striking skills would prevail as Woodley struggled to defend and recover his senses by stalling as much as possible while Hankey continued to unload devastating knees to the body evaporating whatever energy reserves Woodley had stored.

Surprising many Hankey successfully pulled guard despite having a clear lead in the striking department, Woodley initially controlling successfully as Hankey looked to improve his position, posturing up to avoid incoming damage and holding Woodley's head as close as possible before a momentary lack of concentration on Woodley's part allowed Hankey to scramble into the top position.

Reigning down big shots from the top Woodley is rocked! Oooooh, big shot lands for Hankey! Woodley is hurt baaadly! Hankey is firing away with more strikes - Woodley is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Winner - Mister Hankey by way TKO (Strikes) : Fight Rating 32%

205lbs: Eugen Von Bohm Bawerk vs Clinch Gawd

Age: 25 Age: 25

Height: 193 cm Height: 193 cm

Weight: 211 lbs Weight: 214 lbs

Record: 1-0-0 (W----) Record: 1-0-0 (W----)

Pre:

Successfully securing a decision victory in his first outing against boxer Rasim Labriola at the amateur QFC just day's ago Clinch Gawd will feel comfortable going into this fight knowing his significant striking advantage should stand him well when he takes on BJJ wielding former Austrian economist Eugen Von Bohm Bawerk in the main event of Aspire Island 2, Bawerk is known for his significant contributions to the development of Austrian school economics made the life transition to MMA following meeting black belt Misha "The Angel Of Death" Collins at his Aspire 32 victory celebration after party, the two are said to have become fast friends in the following weeks and months with Bawerk quickly becoming Collins star student before heading off to join this year's Island tournament.

Fight:

From the opening moment of tonight's main event Bawerk had a one-track game plan to take this fight to the ground but was unable to secure his target as Gawd showed exemplary takedown defense sprawling beautifully to avoid any chance of finding himself in Bawerk's comfort zone, instead reversing the fighters fortunes by taking advantage of the missed offense and moving the fight into the clinch where he proceeded to decimate Bawerk over the course of nearly two successive round's of devastating body shots that took the gust out of Bawerk's sails and put him in serious danger as he continued desperately to try and secure a takedown.

Midway into the second round Bawerk was able to pull guard and went to work on controlling Gawd as he looked for numerous submission manoeuvres clearly imprinting his dominance on the ground but failing again to do enough to secure the nod from the judges due to Gawds impressive amount of significant strikes landed earlier in the round.

Out for the third and final round Gawd rushed in for the clinch and could have been forgiven for feeling comfortable at this point but complacency allowed Bawerk to yet again pull guard, however this time more vicious in his application Bawerk seemed determined to find a finish. Gawd is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bohm Bawerk has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gawd is looking to defend but Bohm Bawerk has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gawd! Bohm Bawerk pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gawd taps out and this one is all over!

Winner - Eugen Von Bohm Bawerk by way Submission (Triangle) : Fight Rating 63%

155lbs: Savage Samaritan vs Ramon Cuellar

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b25.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w4.jpg

Age: 25 Age: 25

Height: 167 cm Height: 178 cm

Weight: 155 lbs Weight: 150 lbs

Record: 0-0-0 (-----) Record: 0-0-0 (-----)

Pre:

And in our co-main event we have first time MMA fighter Ramon Cuellar fighting out of the Decimation camp having spent time training BJJ in the run-up to The Island, this fight will pit the classic wrestler-base vs BJJ-base with Ramon Cuellar a high school wrestler who developed a passion for BJJ after seeing the Rollo Gracie BJJ Invitational special on tv some years back before going on to secure his BJJ Brown belt going up against collegiate level wrestler Savage "Crazy" Samaritan who recently acquired his BJJ blue belt and is said to be extremely quick on his feet.

Fight:

Samaritan changes levels and immediately drives a takedown into side control with Cuellar looking flustered and off-guard, Samaritan looking to immediately follow up with an armbar submission but Cuellar defends well despite looking visibly frustrated to find himself in his current predicament, working hard Cellar is able to restore himself to half guard and starts to look for potential submissions of his own while controlling Samaritan as best he can.

Samaritan offers up a distraction in the way of some hammer fist blows to the head of Cuellar that really seemed to have hurt him, another big series of strikes leaves Cuellar in some real trouble! and another one! he's really hurt right now as Samaritan continues to lay down the punishment leaving Cuellar clearly rocked. Samaritan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cuellar defend it? Samaritan steps over the head and cranks it - Cuellar is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Samaritan!

Winner - Savage Samaritan by way Submission (Kimura) : Fight Rating 34%

185lbs: Leifi Plomeros vs Bob Larson

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w7.jpg vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15b6.jpg

Age: 25 Age: 25

Height: 187 cm Height: 185 cm

Weight: 195 lbs Weight: 185 lbs

Record: 0-0-0 (-----) Record: 0-0-0 (-----)

Pre:

Leifi Plomeros started his life in the small town of Jyvaeskylae, Finland but it wasn't until his 23rd birthday while traveling the world with his then girlfriend that he discovered Muay Thai and immediately found his calling in life, booking his girlfriend a flight home and selling all of his worldly possesions to afford a small dwelling on the outskirts of Chiang Mai he dedicated the next two years to learning his craft before submitting to his masters desire that he take part in the up-coming Island tournament.

His opponent Afghanistania boxer Bob Larson is said to have had a trouble past with the law having worked as an enforcer for a mid-level organised criminal organisation allegedly involved with trafficking potent Afghani hashish into the continental United States, with heavy hands and a thousand mile stare that would send a chill up the spine of even the most hardened of warriors it's clear to see Bob Larson has seen and done things that are the stuff of nightmares, if he can translate that into the cage Leifi Plomeros is in for a bad time.

Fight:

Plomeros is the first to move out looking to strike but is unable to find his target as Larson displays fantastic striking defense and returns fire with a stiff hook that leaves Plomeros considering his options, blocking a kick to the body Plomeros is able to push forward and secure the clinch reducing the effectiveness of Larson's devastating hands and setting in by softening up his opponent with a pattering of short shots to the body, Plomeros looking the more aggressive of the two as Larson seem's to be struggling at this range taking a number of shots to the head that seemed to have left him dazed allowing Larson to land a big right that undoubtedly rocked Larson.

Never showing any sign of recovering from the big right Larson struggled as Plomeros continued to pummel him with rights, lefts and uppercuts galore until mercifully Plomeros throws a big uppercut that drops Larson! More strikes from Plomeros and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Larson lies dazed against the cage as Plomeros celebrates with his cornermen!

Winner - Leifi Plomeros by way TKO (Strikes) : Fight Rating 50%

Island Aspire:
With another event for Island Aspire in the bag we look towards next week's Underground 1,000 seat arena show with great anticipation and a pledge to our loyal fan's to increase security around our show's in the face of the breaking Beagle Boy menace, we come to you tonight with a live report on the situation.

SVmZXdbrRsGZSU94GOORng.png

Breaking News:
Reports suggest a consortium of fat-cat promoters from The Island convened in the cellar of a shadowy back-alley bar on the western coast of The Island this past Monday night to form a coalition and conspire to bring about the downfall of Island Aspire, while conspirators identities have not been revealed to us at this time we are aware a direct act of sabotage took place in the run-up to the third Aspire Island event tonight with at least twenty Beagle Boy's positioned outside of the ticket booth preventing willing customers a chance to purchase a ticket and attend the event, while speculation continues to rise that problems within Island Aspire's management lead to a slow response to the problem leading to a half empty arena for the night's event, one can only think CEO Adam Holland cannot be happy, to say the least. More on this story as it breaks.
It's not too late to get involved with Island Aspire and we welcome all managers interested to go-ahead and create a 25-year-old fighter and jump right into the fun.
135lbs Henny Verhoeven vs Grind Grind

Age: 25 Age: 25
Height: 172 cm Height: 166 cm
Weight: 141 lbs Weight: 140 lbs
Record: 1-0-0 (W----) Record: 1-0-0 (W----)
Pre:
Having soundly defeated Tare Tappe via Armbar submission at the inaugural Aspire Island 1 the buzz around Henny Verhoeven could not be more tangible as BJJ practitioners worldwide took pause to glow with pride at the excellence of the execution. His opponent tonight Grind "Grinder" Grind had an impressive 29 second first round TKO (Strikes) victory over Toninho Capoeria at the amateur Quick Fight Championships drawing the attentions of Aspire Island's talent scouts before quickly signing him to a deal and putting him forward as Henny Verhoeven's next challenge.
Fight:
Following a brief exchange to open the bout Verhoeven looked for a takedown but failed to secure his target as Grind Grind used the opportunity to improve his position and levy two crisp jabs that stalled Verhoeven's momentum leaving him with a nasty cut above his left eye as Grind looked to finish the fight with a massive head kick that despite his best efforts failed to hit the target, not deterred Grind pushed forward into the clinch and look to land a series of short right's before breaking the clinch and considering his options.

Caught as if off-guard Grind soon found himself hurtling to the ground as Verhoeven moved in for a successful takedown and immediately set about looking for a submission, like a heat seeking missile he homed in on his target with pin-point accuracy before finally securing a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Grind looks calm but he's in trouble here. Verhoeven gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Grind is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Verhoeven lets go of the hold and Grind can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Winner - Henny Verhoeven by way Submission (Kimura) : Fight Rating 42%

Record: 2-0-0 (WW---) Record: 0-1-0 (L----)
Pre:
Picking up a Unanimous Decision loss to Denis Prager at the amateur Quick Fight Championship Zelg Galesic showed enough desire to receive a shot at redemption as Aspire talent scout Jimmy Snorker took a liking to Galesic having previously met him at the BJJ amateur tournament the previous winter, looking to prove he has what it takes Galesic asked for the biggest challenge Aspire had to put in front of him and that's just what he got in the form of dominating BJJ artist Edson Ribeiro, a two-time victor once by Triangle submission against Blake Griffin and once by Triangle Armbar submission against Uncle Acid both at the amateur Quick Fight Championships before signing a one-fight deal with the Island Aspire organisation.
Fight:
Galesic is quick to force Ribeiro back against the cage and into the clinch but Ribeiro feels comfortable in this position and wastes no time in transitioning to a successful guard pull, down on the ground Galesic instantly looks in trouble as Ribeiro seeks to submit him right here and now, defending as best he can posture for space Galesic manages to stall Ribeiro's advance long enough to convince the referee to return the fight to the standing position. It isn't long before Ribeiro is showing his class on the feet with some nice shot's that will score well with the judges, as Galesic fails to complete a takedown Ribeiro instigates a clinch and again successfully pulls guard, closing the round out seeking numerous submissions but never quite synching it in enough to count. A dominant first round for Ribeiro.

Galesic shoots in first and scores a nice double leg but he might come to regret that as Ribeiro looks to make him pay, advancing his position quickly before looking for a loose triangle, can he do better? Ribeiro has his feet on Galesic's thighs here. He's pushed Galesic off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Galesic screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Winner - Edson Ribeiro by way Submission (Armbar) : Fight Rating 26%

Pre:
Not much is known about Bobby "Pathetic" Loseur except that he's most definitely in for a hard time tonight when he goes up against standout Muay Thai practitioner The One fresh of his first round KO(Punch) destruction of Randall Levert Jr at the amateur Quick Fight Championships, earning himself the front page of Islander Weekly for his picture perfect lights-out before they touch the floor KO.
Fight:
Loseur lands a nice jab and One is forced to acknowledge it before returning fire with a blunderbuss of his own, Loseur with another left that lands before following up with a solid looking cross, good footwork from Loseur who avoids a series of incoming strikes from One, bobbing and weaving displaying some fantastic striking defense, another big strike from Loseur seems to have hurt One who looks extra cautious now after eating a direct uppercut. It's been looking like Loseur is getting the better of this after all but One backs off to reset his feet before ploughing back into the fray with a nice hook to the body and a devastating straight that has left Loseur looking dazed.
Loseur loses concentration momentarily and One pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Loseur crashes face first to the mat, out cold! One finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
