I could never let a fighter named Art "The Architect" Vanderlay go into battle unprepared, just like one should never attempt to run from the bathroom to get to the 'phone with your pants still round your ankles...

Gonzales' game-plan looks pretty easy to read. 2 fights, 2 take-downs and GnP to TKO victory in an average of 30 seconds.

So, the question becomes, how best to avoid being "TD and pound out" victim number three...

Strike him early before he gets you, stuff his TD's, tie him up in the clinch, or sub his ass?

Look at what Art does best (sadly, telling bold faced lies, trying to talk his way out of being caught shagging the cleaning lady on his desk by asking quizzically, "was that wrong?", and saving beached whales doesn't help him here...), and see which way to victory seems his best bet.

Seeing as how he only recently got his blue belt, you may, with your purple belt, find it most likely to sub him from your back or sweep to top position.

Stuffing his TD's might be challenging as he took down a respectable wrestler pretty easily.

He's not been in the clinch in his fights yet, so maybe that's an area of weakness.

PM me if you want more focused strategy, as tactics are best discussed in private.

One thing you can be sure of, Gonzales will not let you win, his manager is far, far too smart for that. You're gonna have to earn it.

And he wanted to be my latex salesman... :sad01_anim:
