I am changing my OSP Pick to Alonzo Menifield

Should have left it alone...

Damn Overeem. I do not like the guy and each time he loses, he careers seems to be over. Instead, he comes back each fucking time and gets closer and closer to a title shot. If he does become UFC champion, he will have won pretty much every single important HW belt there is.

I do not like him, but he for sure is a legend.

Reem would be a really interesting fight for Jones. Good technical striking on the outside, quality grappler, and he has vicious knees in the clinch. Jones doesn't have the combination punching or power to expose Reem's defense. Too bad Jones will probably skip to the title, I'd love to see that fight.

Oh yeah, Jones will not want that fight. If he goes to HW, it will be for the title shot right away.

Stylistically, Overeem vs Jones could be interesting. I honestly believe that Overeem would mean trouble for Jones.

The main reason for that logic is that Overeem is a smart calculated HW and not a brawler. Jones would do OK against big punches I think, but would have more trouble against a guy like The Reem.

Reem seems to come back, when everyone has him buried, he puts himself into contention again. I think this guy has probably went through some of the most interesting transformations in combat sports. From a fun LHW in Pride, known for his submissions, he went on to become a K-1 / stand up fighter and winner of the last K-1 Tourney, at about the same time he had that crazy 5 year unbeaten MMA streak and then he suddenly lost 3 out of 4 and it seemed his chin died. About this time he started to lose the muscle, more to a more counter approach and now he is winning fights totally the opposite of how he used to.

If you look at who he has beaten, he pretty much beaten a good portion of all the known HW fighters. I still think he is at least one contender away from another title shot though, and Ngannou has to be next. Also if we look who is above him they have all beaten him. That is Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Curtis Blaydes, he has not fought Derrick Lewis, so i guess that is a good option, but i think the UFC sees him more as fodder to up and comers, just he brings out wins when they do not expect it.
