stpierrecanada
Sucks, but great orgs come and go, sad but true. We still have great orgs and this can make way for mid tier orgs to start signing bigger names and helping their status to become a top tier org. Once/if Mike implements more companies I’m sure the org and all other company population will blow up. 1

I agree top orgs come and go but the way it just happened and Camara & Mitchell exchanging words (understand this happens all the time) it just seemed like foul play was involved and was just wondering if there is a group org owners should be leery of signing

imcool
I apologize TJ, I now realize it was Alex and Camara that I saw on the Endgame not you. My bad I planned to close EMP quite a while back, was going to run it through the events already booked, but decided to close sooner. I announced it to the org managers quite a while ago. I didn't have the urge/time to run it, nor did I want to sell it to someone else, so decided to close it. Fairly straight to the point.

That gives me reassurance that EMP didn't close because of foul play. Idk it was just weird to me how both were premier orgs and then *BOOM* both were closing doors. Idk it was just weird to me how both were premier orgs and then *BOOM* both were closing doors. I won't go into much detail, I simply didn't want to be THAT involved in mmat to spend a ton of time on an org(which does require quite a bit of time), and Chuck knows why he closed CEC...and that's all I will say about that. 1

Truth. Take NSC for instance, John did a great job building it and then some dude took over and it fell quick.
Mentor
Top orgs come and go. GAMMA opened it's door May 2009 and we was a mid tier org until October 2013. When a top level org closes down, it opens up the space for a new org to replace them because no one org can control all the talent (due to depreciating returns). With the 3 big arenas, it is easier to have more top level orgs. We already have 4 top orgs and that is with CEC and EMP closing down, so we will be fine.

Monsieur.Camara
I apologize TJ, I now realize it was Alex and Camara that I saw on the Endgame not you. My bad I had nothing to do with CEC closing, on the contrary I was one of the few that wanted it to stay open and I happen to have all my exchanges with Chuck to prove it. That whiny fuckwitt though, him and his clown troupe pissed off Chuck and it backfired on them as nobody would sign for his EMP org ever again. At the end of the day Chuck left me with a great Mark Taint quote: “Never argue with an idiot (this would be you Alex). They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” 2
Shards
So I was the owner of EMP - and it was effectively closed before the whole CEC thing happened, I was burning out and my Christmas vacation didn't seem to reignite any interest so Alex took over to hold events that were already booked. The org was always going to be closing because I was not keen or sell the org to risk someone running it into the ground. I had long positioned EMP to pick up younger talent and if I had keep going I think I would have absorbed most the best fighters from the now failing Demolition. Their fighters hype is still worthwhile and I was never trying for direct competition with the guys running the true open-id orgs picking up the fighters who are nice and peaked in their 30's. If EMP had kept running I would be trying to pull the strong fighters who might not be keen to jump into CEC, I was effectively trying to pull a high level development league that operated with PPV numbers. Sometime later I might be back for another ID org but once the fighters feel like they're done developing running an org isn't as interesting to me so I'm not sure how I'd tackle that long term problem. In hindsight I would have also went back to booking Fridays, bonus ratings for Sundays be damned, people like it more. I also like that I've gotten part of the blame for both booking a monopoly and also complaining to have more venues from Camara - way to be consistent buddy. I only did one of those things at the time I considered gunning for the top spot I saw the topic complaining about the monopolies - CEC and GAMMA at the time and thought "Oh, that's how you get the venues." So I also booked my monopoly in order to position myself for top 4 org given there was only 4 event slots for this. I was pissed when Tokyo got changed because past orgs had the option to wedge themselves in and make it happen and right as I made my move Mike went and pulled the rug, then I learned that some users were also unhappy with the day for fights changing. It was pretty inconvenient. So yea, if I had any complaint it's that Mike made it easier to be a top org and ruined what was the org game at that point. I was trying to play the harder game and the admin turned down the difficulty. 6

rjs2442
This is an opportunity for the remaining Orgs to step up and fill the void left by the closing of Emp and CEC. Its happened before and it will happen again I am sure.

I just recently like 3 months ago started actually using the forums so idk what all the drama is about. I have never seen him post a single thing in the forums that deserved so many down votes lol at this point you guys are spamming the system and acting like a bunch of little kids, you are the type to report a post on facebook (it's really SAD). I have dealt with Camara in game since I started and he has so far been the best Org owner I have signed any of my talent to. Dude signed one of my first creations and was EXTREMELY helpful when I was learning how to play, he even gave me a new contract with a bigger bonus. (only 2 owners have EVER been willing to do that for me, I used to be bad at money) I understand some of you may hate him but save your hate for a time when he actually deserves it... And honestly who cares about the top two orgs closing? If UFC and One FC both went under tomorrow, Rizn and bellator would get a shit load of new talent and at least one-3 Orgs will pop up to try and fill the void. Wouldn't happen because both companies make so much money but you get what I am saying? If anything, it is good for the games economy and competition. Especially since A LOT of the top 500 right now is occupied by 350k+ fighters... Older fighters need to fight more or do something more, obviously those top orgs were doing something wrong, if 700 people are signed between 2 unrestricted proclaimed "top tier" organizations, there shouldn't be ANY fighters from 350k+ surpassing you in the rankings... If a bigger org grants more hype than a smaller one, all those fighters who win should be ranked higher and gain a ton more hype every time they fight. Either the game is broke or the older fighters are being lazy and inactive. 1
SavageMMa
Also no top org should have any fighters with under .500 winning percentage. I would run my shit like ufc, lose 3-4 in a row and you get booted tf out. 1

Off topic, but accusing people of creating multi's, to disparage the name of someone thats proven to have created alternate accounts is the most ass-backwards defense I've ever seen of anything in my life. "Hey I know this guy was caught red handed, but without any evidence at all its all your fault instead." Like, he may have helped you out, but if you like this game, don't excuse weirdo fucks that decide to exploit the lack of account moderation to their advantage and cheat. On topic... Sad to see longstanding establishments like CEC go, but will be interesting to see the org landscape in a few years time. Never did business with EMP in any fashion but again, contributed a valuable organization that will be missed. 6

This is 100% incorrect Nobody ever proved I have a multi, however I did admite to doing transactions w same IP account so there is that. If you want some facts here you are: 1- CEC closing due to a mob of soy boys is a fact. 2- Most top 10 org owners staying quiet and salivating while Alex, Kendrick, Barney and co. took down CEC is a fact. 3- EMP offering back then #1 P4P Chris Steve a contract, signing him and then holding him hostage by Alex`s direction is a fact. 4- Chris Steve and our camp outmaneuvering shady EMP, getting out of our contract and absolutely crushing Alex K to the point of quitting the game is a fact. 5- Camara tri-champ back-to-back-to-back New / Breakthrough / Best in 3 straight years is a fact. Only 1 manager can match my achievements and that is Good Guy Action Jackson and he MUST win Best Manager of the Year in 2020. /mic drop
