MMATycoon Posted February 21, 2009 Report Share Posted February 21, 2009 OK, so I travelled down to London for the UFC today in what was not a particularly successful afternoon of travelling/MMA. The first issue of the day arose when we (me and the missus) checked the train tickets to find that I'd booked tickets for yesterday. Oooooooops. So that was £83 down the shitter straight off the bat for another ticket. Quite apalling prices really considering my initial ticket was £12. Anyway, we arrived in London and headed straight to the O2 for the weighins..... unfortunately the weighins weren't at the O2, they were 40 mins away in Tottenham. Glorious Anyway, carrying a rucksack and a suitcase with a broken hand, we ran across London and got to the weighins just as they finished but it wasn't an entirely worthless journey as I do have an interesting snippet of information for you. We were stood outside the back entrance having followed Diego's mum and out came Rory Markham and he was fucked.... He was hobbling along on one leg, holding his back grimacing in pain. He went into Boots (chemist) and got a drink and sat on the floor in the corner of the shop... He was in bits. Dan Hardy came out a couple of mins later and I had a quick chat with him. I told him Rory was in pieces sat on the floor in Boots and he said that he'd be in even bigger bits tomorrow. Got a photo with him which I might post on Monday. Saw BJ also who was walking around with his posse and Rampage, who was with Tiki. Also that guy who's in Dana's lovein blogs who was some draft pick or MVP or something in 1993. I can't remember and don't care but Dana always goes on about it, bla bla bla. Anyway, that's about it really apart from all the UFC backroom staff and people like Ali Sanoma who was there with the Diego posse.
