SFL 27: ATUNES VS JONES

Stoner Fight League is putting on a show this weekend that could quite possibly be the event of the year. The Dean of Weed™ has put together a card with an unheard of three title fights, all featuring some of the top prospects in MMA. With 209 Arena already sold out in advance of these fights, let's take a look at the undercard:

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION: EARLE “GORILLA KILLER” NELSON (4-9) VS HEIKKI VIITTA (4-6)

This is a fight that promises fireworks! Nelson is an Elite Muay Thai fighter, and has shown this off with 3 KO victories in the cage. However, he has a tendency to go down quicker than your mum at the office Christmas party after one glass of brandied eggnog. His fights hardly ever leave the first round. Staring across at him will be Viitta, who has won most of his fights by decision. Though Viitta has a big heart he will have to wear a few shots from Nelson before being able to land his own. This fight Isn’t a matter of ‘if’ someone is going to sleep but when. Expect a 100% fight rating on this one.

Prediction: Viitta, R1 KO

FEATHERWEIGHT DIVISION: GARETH KEENAN JR “INVESTIGATES” (4-3) VS WILFRED “ITIMU” KETER (4-8)

Keenan Jr. is the son of Current Synchronicity star and one time 3rd p4p legend, Gareth Keenan. Both Keenan’s have turned their backs on their first manager, and joined the Convicted alliance. Much like Keenan Sr, he has a granite chin which allows him to fight as aggressively as he’d like. Jr. will be taking on his third opponent in the SFL cage, where he is currently 1-1. Showing an ability to get a KO or stand and trade with the best of them, Keenan will be tough competition for Keter. Keter has become somewhat of a journeyman in MMA which comes as a shock to many as he had a promising start to a KT career. Unable to capture the lighting he first captured in KT Keter was a belt holder for the KT promotion Amsterdam KT. He has proved that he packs a mean punch. Look for Keter to try and get to Keenan’s chin early.

Prediction: Keenan Jr, Decision

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION: WALTER JACKSON (11-5) VS BALDUR TORSTEN (5-4)

Both of these fighters are exactly what the casual fans pay to see. Neither fighter is interested in going to the ground. Expect strikes thrown from each fighter early and often. Jackson is another Convicted product. With 8 decision wins, Jackson has proved that he can stand and trade. Jackson has breezed by the majority of his opponents without truly being hurt- will Torsten be the first to connect? Torsten is known for his power, with the majority of wins coming via KO. Despite one KO loss coming via cuts, referee’s that have attempted to call fights via cut in the SFL have all mysteriously disappeared the day after, so don’t expect a similar result in this contest.

Prediction: Jackson, Decision

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION: AAPO JUKOLA (12-5) VS JACKSON “BLIZZARD” STORM (7-5)

SFL continues to show the cream of the crop with these two prospects. Jukola is a long time Underground veteran, and has shown some struggles adjusting to a more elite SFL. Jukola has 8 KO victories and an intimidating name, which may give him an advantage against most opponents. However, Storm isn’t your average opponent. 6 of his 7 MMA wins have come via KO. Coming from Radiator Springs, California, many experts have suggested that the radiation exposure Storm received growing up has changed the skin on his knuckles from a soft flesh to a hard substance resembling lead. That, or the bastard has been pulling the “Resto.” Either way, both fighters have shown that they can pack a punch, and someone will be going unconscious.

Prediction: Storm, R2 KO

WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION: MANUEL “THE PRODIGY” SILVA (9-6) VS GIUSEPPE TURTURRO (11-7)

A former title contender in RRFC, the Prodigy has seen a fair share of orgs, with SFL being his third stop in the MMA circuit. The proud Brazilian has been stopped four times, but has shown that he can win fights both with points and with raw strength. 2-1 in SFL Silva is slowly rising in the welterweight ranks and may soon be a contender for the belt. Across from him is Giuseppe Turturro who was formerly managed by an incredibly hot porn star. After leaving to join Convicted, Turturro has faced a string of some of MMA’s best, including Seymour Hughes and Little Bjornsson. Turturro is a submission artist who looks to neutralize Silva on the ground where Silva has historically struggled.

Prediction: Turturro, R3 Submission

And now, for the main card…

FEATHERWEIGHT DIVISION: LYNTON “THE OZ THRILLER” (10-4-2) VS AL “THE ARABIAN TEMPLAR” GHOUTI (7-2-1)

This is the battle of the coolest nicknames. Lynton is the adopted son of MMA Legend Matt Miller, who was known for holding the Featherweight belt at Synchronicity. Lynton appears to have copied his father’s ability to dodge damaging strikes because in 16 professional fights Lynton has hardly been touched. He stands with only two decision losses, two sub losses, and 0 KO’s. Ghouti on the other hand comes from an incredibly dishonorable lineage. After kicking the ass of many-a-Crusader, he was eventually recruited to the Christian side. Honor? No sir, that cold hard cash. Ghouti looks to make a little more cash with a KO of the Night Bonus here.

Prediction: Miller, Decision

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION: COLIN KAEPERNICK (13-5) VS LENNY “THE STUMP” KOWALSKI (12-4)

Kaepernick is another product of everyone’s favorite pornstar. After mysteriously facing the same two fighters over and over at Underground Kaep promptly left his previous manager and went to SFL. After watching Kaep in the Super Bowl, it was clear that he had some power in that arm which has translated extremely well to MMA as he has KO’d 9 opponents. Now, he looks to end someone else’s career with a knee. His opponent will be “The Stump,”who is formerly a Jiu Jitsu practitioner under a Gracie. The Stump has captured belts at FARTMMA and RFC previously. After moving to the Punch Out gym, Kowalski feels as though he is at his athletic prime and has never felt like a better boxer, although this may be attributed to the fact that all he does is sparr Glass Joe.

Prediction: Kaepernick, R2 KO

And now, for the Title Fights…

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15198583059960.png VS http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w5.jpg

BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: SAKMONGKOL SITSONGRIT (12-0-1) VS YAJSON RRAM (9-2)

Sitsongrit is one of the Prides of the YABAI alliance- The #6 Featherweight in the world, and has dominated every opponent he has faced. His draw came against Juan Pique, who he promptly beat in a rematch. If the Sitsongrit camp is known for anything, it’s for kicking other midgets in the face with the might of Zeus. Rram himself is a former SAFO champion with a solid KT record backing him as well. Hailing from the Philippines, this fighter has managed to do the unthinkable- become a champion and a legit prospect all while training in a public gym that barely exceeds Cozad levels of grunginess. Rram has a great chin and is as tough a scrapper as they come. Sitsongrit should in no way underestimate Rram, or he may find himself on the receiving end of a Knockout blow.

Prediction: Sitsongrit, Decision

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14846842464832.png VS http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg

WELTERWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: “BEAST FROM THE EAST” SERHEY RISHKINOV (19-5) VS MELDRICK TAYLOR (12-6-1)

What are they feeding those Russians that makes them so strong, physically and mentally? For Serhey, every meal was a scrap as he came from a large family with 8 siblings. He was chosen to represent the Russian National wrestling team in his youth, and has since turned himself into a well rounded killer among men. It is impossible to know Serhey’s plan of attack. He can ground and pound you, he can sub you, and he can even knock you out on his feet. Serhey has been a champion in every org he has been a part of, and SFL is no different. This is his second title defence in SFL, and it may be his most difficult challenge yet. He will be facing long time Underground challenger Meldrick Taylor, who is a monster in his own right. With 8 KO victories to his name, Taylor has cracked the chins of many who have underestimated him. This is the first title shot of his young career, and he’s hungry for gold.

Prediction: Serhey, R2 Submission

THE MAIN EVENT

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14255800922657.png VS http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w22.jpg

MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: EDISON “ZICO” ATUNES (18-0) VS BARRY “BULLETPROOF” JONES (18-6)

Edison was raised in a poor single parent household, but inherited the gift of powerful fists by his father, the legendary fighter Arturo Atunes. After joining the Convicted team, Atunes has gone on a rampage that is considered one of the best starts to a career in MMA history. Atunes has a massive 17 KO victories in his young career and has not lost a fight yet. Atunes may be the most powerful puncher in the game as he has shattered the granite chins of many opponents, turning them into glass. After Atunes alarmingly obliterated every FinnFighters Prospect, the only challenger with the cajones to face him is Barry “Bulletproof” Jones. The Australian is in his third organization, and is riding a three fight winning streak under his new manager. After fleeing from Grumpy Bastard’s camp after the Grumpster found out that he was a dirty, dirty liberal, Jones has found refuge at Spartan MMA and has been kicking ass ever since. Jones has 18 victories to his name, and has found a way to win both on the ground and standing up. Can Jones be the one to finally dethrone Atunes? This matchup has “Fight of the Year” written all over it.

Prediction: Atunes, R4 KO

Atunes (19-0) def. Jones (18-7) via KO (Punch) in RD 2

After a closely contested opening frame that saw both fighters feeling each other out, the champ found his range in the 2nd round. A push kick to the body set up a big head kick that knocked Jones off his feet and sent him tumbling to the mat. Moments later Atunes landed a lead left hook that slept the challenger and the fight was over 1:56 into the 2nd round. All that hard work and training paid off for the Middleweight world champion as he added another successful title defense to his decorated and glorious resume.

Randall McSweeney and #1 P4P Kingpin Latrobe Arundel were in attendance for the fight after flying in on PFC's Private Jet (SFL's Private Jet is bigger and better btw) showing interest in a potential Atunes vs Arundel showdown. Chris Karter is on record stating that Atunes will torch Arundel in round 1 and will finish what the Punchmaster General almost accomplished back at ICS 52.

*** 170 WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP ***

14846842464832.png

Rishkinov (20-5) def. Taylor (12-7-1) via Decision (Unanimous) after 5 RD

In a one sided and rather lackluster mauling that looked like a big brother spanking a little brother for the better part of 5 rounds, reigning SFL Welterweight Champion out-struck, out-kicked, and out-grappled Taylor to a lopsided decision victory. Taylor's gameplan left a lot to be desired as he looked completely out of his element, even on the feet, where he was presumed to be able to keep it interesting. If there was one shining light for Taylor is was his ability to survive on the ground against the vastly superior grappler, even sweeping the black belt reaching dominant top control. It wouldn't last long and was short lived, Rishkinov had his way with the New Yorker. The crowd didn't much care for the affair and voiced their displeasure throughout the contest, but what can you expect from a bunch of Dutch fans, they came to see a sacrifice and Rishkinov toyed with his prey for 25 minutes.

Rishkinov is expected to defend his title in a rematch vs YABAI prospect Jackson Pollock (10-3, 3-0 SFL). The two fought once before in Underground where Serhey defended his title with a dominant grappling performance enroute to a unanimous decision. Rishkinov will be looking to establish dominance over a familiar foe and send Jackson back to the drawing board.

*** 135 BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP ***

15198583059960.png

Sitsongrit (13-0-1) def. Rram (15-7) via TKO (Punches) in RD 2

Sitsongrit successfully defends his crown as he becomes the first fighter to stop the Filipino Kickboxer Yajson Rram in 20+ fights. From the start of the fight Sitsongrit showed off his superior display of striking utilizing his reach advantage with precision strikes to the head up top, and brutal leg and body kicks down low. For the entirety of the fight Rram wasn't much more than a human punching bag as Sitsongrit battered him for the first 5 minutes. The Champion finally rocked him early in the 2nd round with a solid single shot and pounced on him like a tiger finishing him off with strikes forcing the ref to call the action 40 seconds into round 2.

After back-to-back title fights at 135 lbs Sitsongrit goes back up to 145 lbs to defend his throne against fellow YABAI fighter and former RFC Lightweight Champion Azzaca Trounvouche (12-3, 3-1 SFL). The Jamaican challenger will certainly have his hands full with the belt collector from Thailand whose been nothing short of dominant since his closely contested victory over Reiji Hali back at SFL 4..

* LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT ACTION *

1w1.jpg

Kowalski snaps 3-fight losing streak

Lenny "The Stump" Kowalski (13-4, 1-3 SFL) snapped his 3 fight losing streak by knocking out hypocritical hactivist Colin Kaepernick in the 3rd round via TKO. The former RFC Light Heavyweight champion is finally back in the win column and it's his first win under the SFL banner. Lenny dominated the first round standing, took Kaepernick down in the 2nd and worked for submissions on the ground, and when Kaepernick tried to step it up and swing for the fences in the final minute of round, Lenny countered with a big right hand that hurt him and followed it up with strikes that forced the ref to step in. Even SFL owner Chris Karter was pictured clapping following the beating despite alliance mate Marcus Crassus cornering Kaepernick.

* FEATHERWEIGHT ACTION *

15975378982568.jpg

The Oz Thriller upends the Arabian Templar

Featherweight contender Lynton Miller (11-4-2, 3-0-1 SFL) had unfinished business with Al Ghouti (7-3-1, 2-1-1 SFL) dating back to their SFL 20 that ended in a draw. Miller was adamant about running it back and the brass seemed content with that decision and scheduled them to battle it out once again. Ghouti wasn't fearful of Miller's ground game and initiated the grappling early, taking Miller down and trying to work for a kimura. In round 2 Miller would take Ghouti down and the two men would scramble before Miller would retain control and work away with strikes. Round 3 it looked like Ghouti was prepared to keep it standing swatting away a few takedowns attempts and trading strikes with Miller before the Aussie landed a takedown into side control that would in hindsight seal the deal. 29-28 across all three judges scorecards, Miller was given the decision victory and remains unbeaten inside the SFL cage.

** FIGHT OF THE NIGHT **

15069040417791.gif

Baldur Torsten (6-4) def. Walter Jackson (11-6) via KO (Punch) in RD 3

With 3 seconds left in the fight Torsten snatches victory from his opponent and tells the judges to throw their cards in the tin bin. From the opening bell Jackson slugged it out and for the most part he was winning the exchanges but he ate some big shots from Tortsen in the process. Torsten rocked Jackson at the end of the 1st round, knocked him down early in the 2nd, and knocked him down two more times in the 3rd round before finally closing the fight out in dramatic fashion with a perfectly timed right hook that knocked Jackson out cold and left his body limp with only 3 seconds left on the clock. It was easily the most exciting fight of the night and both men earned a well deserved 10K bonus.

1595095388zQaOEBn.gifStoner Fight League buzzed at Marcus Crassus, Randall McSweeney, Valentin Taneyev, Vincent Lomax

Two of tycoon's top managers Marcus Crassus and Randall McSweeney square off in 4 days at SFL 28 when Light Heavyweight Champion Vincent Lomax defends his title against arch-nemesis Valentin Taneyev. These two have history dating back to the Underground days when Lomax was an undefeated 12-0 Champion before being upset by the 7-2 underdog. Taneyev is responsible for both blemishes on The Golden One's resume, so anything less than a dominant victory this weekend must be inconceivable for both men's camps.

The ALOHA HOI HEAVYWEIGHT GRAND PRIX is being hosted at the SFL for 350K Heavyweight Prospects with a variable multi-million dollar prize pool. Aloha "Pineapple Head" Hoi is a member of the old guard and former Blitz Heavyweight Champion from the legendary Rio-based fight team Tosen's Home For Lost Boys. The Hawaiian goliath racked up 31 knockouts in 35 wins and the only thing he enjoys more than knocking his opponent into a new space time continuum is pineapple pizza. Aloha Hoi will be eating plenty of pineapple pizza as he watches the action unfold from the sidelines, with his sweet tree stump of a mother, as the SFL honors his warrior spirit with a tournament to celebrate his Neanderthal level brutality and ability to withstand punishment.

4 entrants = $1,000,000

8 entrants = $2,000,000

16 entrants = $10,000,000

Thus far at this stage the 4 entrants are from top camps and GOAT is a 99/1 favorite:

  1. Jeronimo Puno (Chris "The GOAT" Karter)
  2. Kevin McGuire (Gamblin' Joe River)
  3. Johan Joestar (John Dauherty)
  4. Adsawin Jingdasawat (Alfred Winterbottom)

"OG" Spanky Loco

I have mad (no pun intended) respect for Bird and his management team.
When I threw out my challenge to him, I did not expect him to bite.
Turns out that he bites and looks forward to strangling me.

I like that attitude, I really do.

PS: fear the legs Birdie, fear the legs!

If you can beat Lancaster then you are the absolute best lightheavy at 340k

He is coming soon, to a theater near you :)

p.s. holy Lomax morale drop Batman. Ive seen down to 20% but never 0%

You've never been in the locker room after Qing Kong or Hiroshi Ekaku have lost a fight. Miss Miracle can attest to the morale dump. I've given her permission to unblock your number to confirm.

Lomax is devastated but he will bounce back.

Lancaster vs Taneyev at SFL 35 on the horizon... kicking off the end of the year in the massively oversized 93K Tokyo Bowl. Godzilla, Aloha Hoi, Marcus, Mannetosen, Lance Templeton, and many others will be making celebrity appearances. Randall and Arundel had so much fun last SFL event they will probably be front row.

I know you bought the ticket too. You're an Asian fever beaver.

Lomax remains in Medically Induced Coma after Brutal KO Loss

In a short brief and brutal fight - In what many termed 'execution style' - Vincent 'The Golden One' Lomax relinquished his World Title once again to Valentin Tanyev.

It was a shocking performance from the Golden One, who left the arena without having regained consciousness.

Enigmatic Convicted Superstar Manager Marcus 'Steel' Crassus commented:-

"Vincent was taken to hospital and is yet to regain consciousness. It was fucking diabolical display, shameful and I am almost speechless. Vincent has brought disgrace to my gym, and if he does recover I will tell him the same.

Assuming he recovers, I want him on the December 30th card."

When Crassus was asked about the rumour Lomax had smoked weed with Chris Karter during the undercard, Crassus commented:-

"At this stage, who the fuck knows, Lomax is big buddies with Chris and Chris was fucked last night so I cant rule it out. Edison was there for a while and he just told me everything was 'cool' and 'Jesus' had a plan.

what the fuck that meant I don't know, and it doesn't bare thinking about as Karter, Edison and whole load of other SFL fighters and ambassadors were a train wreck last night. I understand Tosen & Glenn were arrested?"

On the prognosis for Lomax:

"Do I look like a fucking neuro surgeon, he got his head bashed again, he probably didn't even realize he was in the cage, and as for Chris saying ' Lomax is devastated' the fucking idiot doesn't even know he's fucking lost yet.

I can say this though, its a fucking great hospital he is in - they have loads of experience dealing with head trauma - anyone wanting to see him when he regains consciousness - go to the specialist 'Finnfighters' ward."

"OG" Spanky Loco

Asking for a friend, but does SFL really test urine from their fighters?

He might have had a bit too much... euuhm... coffee in the last months, so it might not be 100% pure on fight night.
