"Who is Yodsawan? The next guy I will smash after I rest a bit after fighting every 2 weeks for a while"

Yodsawan Sitsongrit (322135)

"ไม่มีอะไร ไม่มีอะไร ญาดา ญาดา ไม่มีอะไร ญาดา. ญาดา ไม่มีอะไร. ญาดอะไร ญา ไม่ ไรไรไร!! าดา ไม่มีอ าดา ไม่มีอดา. ราชอาณาจักรไทย. ทรงพระเจริญ!"

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As his promoter, I tried to instigate some trash talk from Yodsawan but he barely acknowledged it and just kept saying he was so happy with the sucessful rescue operation of the "Wild Boars" and praising the good King of Thailand. I'll step up and say I believe he'll KO the double champ in the first round.

SyFi Weekend Preview:

It's the weekend of the Big boys, all 3 Weekend cards are highlighted by 265/265+ fights, and both these title are on the line, let's take a look at some highlight fights:

Title Fights:

Sunday:

265 Rick Piano © vs. Ross Barkley (#1)

The fight has revenge written all over it, when Rick Piano will present the SFC 265 belt for the 6th time, in this title defense, both fighters met on May 6th, and it was the unbeaten Champion Piano, that was brought into Round 2 for the first, and so far only time into Round 2. Barkley looked strong in the clinch, but towards the end of Round 2 tired, and couldnt get the fight back in the clinch. So he was KO ed with just 2 seconds left in Round 2. Since then both fighters got 2 easy KO wins and are ready to battle again. Piano has absorbed any challengers as easy as he won the title, and his arrogant behaviour has let to him being one of the most popular fighters in SFC. Look no further than the action, and don't blink, when history may change. The big question is, can Piano KO Barkley, or will Barkley get a whip on Piano.

Saturday:

265+ Arn Anderson © vs. Galactor Gigantus (unranked/former EFA Champ)

It is not often, that you get a title shot with your first fight at SFC, but when you enter the cage 9-0 and defended the EFA belt 5 times, it may be an occasion, where Boble Lineman says: "Sign the dotted line, and you get the Champ." Gigantus last fought 24 days ago, so he comes in well rested, to challenge for the belt. All his wins came by KO/TKO and he only needed more than 1 round twice, when he did it in Round 2. But today he faces SFC Champ Arn Anderson, a fighter like he hasn't seen at EFA, Anderson(8-1) defended the SFC belt 4 times and won all his fight by Submission, before Mongolian Muslim TKO ed him on June 10th, but Anderson got the immediate rematch, and was back to his old self submitting Muslim in Round 1 in the rematch. So here we go, assuming, this will be over quick, either Gigantus gets the KO or Anderson will take him down, another one not to blink.

Main Event Friday:

265 Santu Avisu Kona (#3) vs. Travis Dillon (#4)

A big fight, with perhaps a shot at the 265 champ on the line, when Kona returns to the cage for the first time, since his title fight loss to Piano. While Dillon comes of a win against Mika Allu, who was unbeaten beforehand. Let's look at Dillon, a fighter with huge firepower, is 7-1, all fights ending by KO/TKO in Round 1, his only loss coming to Challenger Ross Barkley. He still is pretty young, even for SFC standards, and has shown huge learning curves, this fight will present his biggest challenge since the Barkley fight. Kona is just in his 3rd SFC fight (being 1-1), he beat Fujimoto and lost to Piano. However overall he is 7-1, with 4 convincing wins at NJMMA, Konas standup is reported to be at the highest level seen in his recent training camp, so he enters the fight as the clear cut favourite.

Other big Fights:

Friday:

Fridays Co-Main Event sees No. 2 vs. No. 3 at 135, Glass Joe a veteran and first title holder at 135 in SyFi faces young talent Wayne Williams. Williams 6-3 has 3 convincing wins at SyFi and is a huge boxing talent, Glass Joe(6-2) is a SyFi Product, having fought all his fights in Sydney, and lost both fights to 2 time champ Kishimoto. Glass Joe is known for going the distance, winning the title in a 5 Round battle with Marcelo Barbosa, and also his 2 wins before the title fight loss came by Decision. Williams on the other hand has won all his 3 SyFi fights by KO/TKO. Look for Williams to KO Glass Joe.

Other Main Card fights see Niko Pukhuri face Wagner Resende at 185, Resende making his SyFi debut against 3-2 Pukhuri, Resendes CCF experience makes him a slight favourite here. Also at 265 Yaroslev faces Cat Fhin and Voshon Daniels meets Ivar the Boneless, all 4 fighters need wins to climb the Superheavyweight Rankings. The undercard presents various talents needing to bounce back.

Saturday:

The Co-Main Event Kazuma Kuwabara v Corey Smith Jr features 2 ranked 205 fighters, Kuwabara (5-0) took a 5 week training break to prepare himself for tougher tests at SyFi, his wins all 1st Round Submissions, he beat veterans like Mujahid Jackson and Isiah Cooley, both well known names at SyFi. Corey Smith jr. (5-1) took a decision loss in his 2nd fight, but since then has KO/TKO wins in Round 1 in anyone he faced, recently beating former Champ Damatang Camara. For both fighters this is a big challenge and a style test, lets see, if Smith Heavy Hands can win this one.

Other Main Card Fights see former 155 champ Golovkin face Che Hu Mo. Golovkin (7-4) wants another crack at the belt he lost to Akimbo Spice, and recently beat Murphy Brown, after a loss to recent challenger Evan Page. While he fought some premium SFC names, Mo (5-2) has a 2 fight win streak after a mixed 2-2 opening at SyFi, he recently beat Pat Williams by Decision, and is known for long lasting fights, his losses including one to current Champ Xavier Merlin. Also at 155 Killian Armstrong faces Murphy Brown, and at 185 Man Itizer faces Mikey Diaz.

The Undercard sees it's brightest star in 2-0 Koichi Kamei, who is slowly working himself up the 155 ladder.

Sunday:

In the Co Main Event at 205 Costa Ioannou faces Blake Phoenix for the 2nd time, Ioannou just recently found a new identity and won his first SyFi fight against William Lindham. Now he faces Blake Phoenix, again, who took a training break after a loss to Pablo Spezziale, both fighters are NY Fight Nights Legends and competed in a brutal tournament over 9 fights early in their career. Now they are looking for their place at SyFi Phoenix won the first fight by Decision, and predictions say we will go the distance again.

Other Main Card action sees 265 talent Sergey "Ser" Korotkiy(3-2) coming of a loss to Ross Barkley and looking to rebound against Stefan Harpik a veteran who recently lost to Angel Childress, both fighters need a win to stay in contention and reclaim a ranking spot.

At 205 Gootti Kustaa v Atreyu Nakamotto is a fight of 2 fighters looking to build a win streak. While at 145 Remi Dacourt vs. Philip Zieske sees 2 talents that want to breakthrough, both unbeaten in SyFi fights, they may be 1 win away from appearing in a title fight eliminator.

The Undercard spots 2 debutants in Lyoto Parks at 145 and Yusuke Urameshi at 155. Good luck to both.

And now lets look at this weekends action presented by Forge Clothing and remember use training spots in Sydneys top Gyms Dohertys and Sydney Combat......

SyFi 76 Preview:

Ikki Takeda: At schooner's Bar tomorrow we have a treat for you as we have a super heavyweight title bout for you as the champion Arn Anderson 8-1 takes on Galactor Gigantus 9-0. Anderson has been the longtime champion of Sydney Fights that he got his belt back in last fight a rematch against Mongolian Muslim. All 8 wins by Anderson have been by submission. Gigantus will be making his debut in Sydnery Fights and was a hall of famer and champion at EFA. Gigantus is a boxer and a wrestler and his unbeaten streak of 9 wins have come by KO. Who shall be the victor in this one? My prediction is Anderson by submission.

Ikki Takeda: The co-main event is between Kazuma Kuwabara unbeaten at 5-0 will be taking on Corey Smith Jr at 5-1. Kuwabara will be having Yukina in attendance to watch him a long with his sister Shizuru. He is an all around fighter but has won every fight by submission. Smith Jr is a wrestler and a boxer and has only lost by decision as no-one has been able to finish him and all his wins have been by KO. My prediction is Smith Jr by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the main card is between Gennady Golovkin 7-4 and Che Huu Mo 5-2. Golovkin is an incredible boxer with decent takedown defense. Mo is a grappler with a great wrestling and bjj purple belt. This fight will surely come down to can Golovkin get to Mo's chin before being taken down. My prediction is Golovkin by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fourth fight on the card is between the young and the old. Killian Armstrong is a young monster 5-1 with most wins by KO and Murphy Brown 8-5-1 an old time boxer square off. This one is going to be a clash of fists of fury. Who lands the killing blow? My prediction is the young gun Armstrong wins by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fight kicking off the main card is between Man Itizer 8-7 and Mickey Diaz 5-2. Itizer is a guy the fans can't ever seem to get enough which watching him you understand why as he goes straight at his opponents and doesn't do much feeling out. Which also might explain the high amount of losses. Exciting style but the not the best idea. Diaz can box a little bit but is a grappler first. 4 of his 5 wins are by submission. My prediction is Diaz by submission.

Ikki Takeda: I have a guest here and is headlining the undercard Kurt Wagner. Welcome Kurt.

Kurt Wagner: Thank you Ikki,

Ikki Takeda: So Kurt you are coming off a KO loss does that add a little extra pressure?

Kurt Wagner: It is but not as much from the loss as I had just got my black belt and was feeling overly confident and came into the fight taking it lightly. Then after most of the first round was spent on the ground and I couldn't land a single successful submission attempt against a blue belt. I was fuming mad and came out dropped my guard and got caught.

Ikki Takeda: What o you think of this next fight and your chances?

Kurt Wagner: I think my chances are good and we are pretty even in the stand up but I think I'm a bit more versatile there. It will interesting on if he chances taking me down. I know he definitely could take me down but does he want to go to the ground against black belt? On top with his wrestling and purple belt I think he stands a pretty good chance but I'm a black belt and every single one of my wins have come by way of submission. So it's a dangerous gamble.

Ikki Takeda: What way would you prefer to win?

Kurt Wagner: Well I would love to win by submission as that is my game. But I'm prepared to stand.

Ikki Takeda: Thank you for your time.

Weekend Recap:

Sydney Fights welcomed a few thousand fans for 3 exciting fight nights again, and the tougher the days got, the bigger the fights. Two Title Fights and tons of challengers saw the SyFi Cages this weekend, but let's go day-by-day.

Friday:

Bondi Outdoor Arena saw a clash of two uneven Heavyweight superstars, entering the ring searching a fight with the Champ and a No. 1 spot Santu Kona looked prepped by a great camp, while Travis Dillon was the one we knew, a big talent, ready for stardom, but perhaps this day came again to early. Just as in the fight with Barkley Dillon always looked a step behind. Kona was dominating the standup, put the fight into the clinch almost at will, needing a bit more than 4 minutes to finish Dillon by a clean KO. Fight fans want a Kona vs. Piano rematch, but as we heard from Konas camp, this may still be a few weeks away.

In the Co-Main Event at 135 Glass Joe made his swan song from SyFi at least for now, Glass Joe, the warrior we know faced the younger and perhaps more talented Wayne Williams, but as he did with Por Pramuk or Barbosa, he went the distance and didn't bother with tactics boxing his way to a unanimous decision, the first 135 SyFi Champ, and only beaten by Daishi Kishimoto will now look for new adventures outside SyFi.

In other action Wagner Resende made a welcomed SyFi debut, and the veteran fighter earned sub of the night honour against Niko Pukhuri. At 265+ Voshon Daniels and WladimirYaroslev, both under the same management broke loosing streaks and returned to winning form in the cage.

Fight of the night: Voshon Daniels vs Ivar The Boneless

KO of the night: Phillip Baroni

Sub of the night: Wagner Resende

Saturday:

The big boys shone on Saturday, when at 265+ Arn Anderson defended his belt against Galactor Gigantus. Gigantus coming in unbeaten was the face of EFA, where he defended his belt 5 times, entering SyFi a lot of talk was about Gigantus KO Power, but in the cage, Gigantus looked not as fresh as usually. Anderson took the Anderson ERA to another level, took Gigantus down and hardly wasted any time gettin the sub win. Anderson looked his old, and all over the loss vs. Muslim, which he revenged immediate. Tonight he celebrated a big win, but the hunt for the belt will continue for the challengers.

In the Co-Main Event Corey Smith jr. And Kazuma Kuwabara went the distance, both fighters not used to going that long presented their tactics, but Kuwabara couldn't get the sub on the ground, and Smith got the decision of the judges. It may not be the last time we saw this succesful youngesters cross their paths.

At 155 Gennady Golovkin and Killian Armstrong scored wins against ranked fighters, while Golovkin took Che Huu Mo the distance, Armstrong got a 2nd round KO win over former title challenger Murphy.

Fight of the night: Gennady Golovkin vs Che Huu Mo

KO of the night: Killian Armstrong

Sub of the night: Arn Anderson

Sunday:

The Rick Piano show was on again, with all the anticipation building Rick Piano was at it's best, almost as usual. Ross Barkley, who took him into Round 2 in their first fight was ready, and many speculated, what he'd do. Well he did about the same, try to get into the clinch and fight, but it was Piano, that set the tone, denying the clinch, and when it was on Piano outpunched Barkley, all those hits mounted to a TKO finish with 4:27 gone in Round 1. The anticipation is for a rematch with Kona, who looked that strong in his camp for Fridays fight, but for now the question remains, who can beat Rick Piano?

In the Co Main Event Blake Phoenix beat Costa Ioannou, by a TKO in Round 3, as in the first match Blake Phoenix set the tone and made clear, that he is one to be reckoned with at 205, 6 weeks of preperation after his win over Pablo Spezziale did wonders, and he looked much stronger, perhaps this time he can make a move for the 205 title.

The other Main Card fight brought 3 decision wins, Sergej Korotkiy a strong talent at 265 rebounded nicely from a loss, and remains a Top 5 contender at Heavyweight. Gootii Kuusta showed he is a worthy veteran, and always brings top performance, when entering the SFC cage.

In the Main Card Opener, Philip Zieske showed he currently is a 145 force to be reconed with, as he beat the talented Remi Dacourt, who got his first defeat handed.

Fight of the night: Sergey Korotkiy vs Stefan Harpik

KO of the night: Lyoto Parks

Sub of the night: no submission win

Once again I made a so called 'contender' look like a giant sack of dog shit! Kona should take note, if you couldn't beat me the first time then ya damn sure won't beat me in a rematch. Chances are i will fuck you up even faster than before!

SyFi 79 Preview:

Ikki Takeda: The Main event is a 155 pound title fight as newly crowned champion Xavier Merlin 8-2 has his very first title defense and it's against Jorginho Marcelo a 5-2 submission expert. Merlin a submission expert with a well rounded game. He will have a huge striking advantage in this one and may look utilize that to win by KO or possibly to drop his opponent and look for the submission as both of his losses are by submission though. Marcelo has been untouchable since losing his Sydney Fight debut winning 5 straight all by submission. My prediction is Merlin by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The Co-Main is between former 185 champ Big Asznee 11-2 and Ciro Di Marzio 5-3. Asznee one of the best grapplers in Sydney Fights history. Marzio strikes, wrestles, and grapples. In the words of L.V. Miles slightly modified in Friday Night Lights "That boy can fight. He can strike with his left, he can strike with his right, don't make no difference. He can clinch, takedown, uppercut, hook, and kick you in the face. Hell, the boy will fill the water bottle, coach the other fighter, and manage your gym. I'm telling ya, the boy can plain out fight. .... OOOHH and he can submit you!!" My prediction is Marzio by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the main card is between Ross Warring 6-2 and Edgar Avetisyan 4-0-1. Warring is a striking gift and given his wrestling with it is a tough night at the office for anyone. Avetisyan KO's everyone but make no mistake his bjj is no cakewalk.

Ikki Takeda: The fourth fight on the main card is between Bann Harrow 6-1 and Kimbo Ferguson Jr 6-4. Harrow is a world class talent with some of the best striking in the world much less in the hemisphere and couples that nicely with a decent wrestling game and bjj game that just begs opponents to be stupid enough to go to the ground. Ferguson Jr is a talented wrestler and boxer. My prediction is Harrow by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fight that kicks off this talented main card action is between Amar Agnarsson 4-5 and Fiyero Lermontov 4-2. Agnarsson is a talented muay thai prospect that just hasn't lived up to it. Lermontov is good enough that basically you can take a look at Harrow and you basically have a pretty good idea of the ability of Lermontov.
