SyFi 56
May 27/18
Brought to you by Forge Clothing Co.

Main Event of the Evening
265 lbs. - (C) Rick Piano (8-0) vs. Santu Avisu Kona (7-0)

While his streak of first round finishes may have come to an end in his most recent title defense against Ross Barkley, Rick 'Roidburg' Piano is still on top, smashing through all of his competition in dominant fashion. He faces the toughest opponent of his career next in Santu Avisu Kona, another undefeated striker. In his debut Kona made waves, stopping Gyukosho Fujimoto in the first round with a monstrous uppercut in the clinch position. On paper, Kona has a slight advantage in the striking department which is, of course, what both of these men do best. It surely will be war for the enjoyment of all Sydney fans in attendance!

265 lbs. - Stefan Harpik (5-1) vs. Canelo Lopez (3-0)

Harpik had a nice showing in his Sydney debut, dragging down Angel Childress and smashing him with some excellent ground and pound, rendering the man virtually defenseless. His next opponent, slated for his fourth appearance, is Canelo Lopez. This young upstart has all first round finishes thus far, with a combination of proficient boxing and clinch fighting. The story of this fight comes down to the grappler Harpik being able to get his guy with a takedown. His chances are not great if he cannot.

135 lbs. - Connor Joieson (3-0) vs. Brain Fog (5-2)

'Chameleon' Joieson has been on a tear since signing with Sydney Fights, controlling the tempo of a fight with excellent takedowns and a great top game. Dispatching Dax Baxter in the third round in his last fight, Joieson is on his way up the ranks, and the next man to stand in his way is Brain Fog. No stranger to the division, exceptional wrestler Fog has only lost against the champion, Daichi Kishimoto. With wonderful takedowns, and constantly threatening with deadly submissions, Brain Fog seeks to claim another chance at the title with another win tonight.

265+ lbs. - Jim Bob McDonald (4-1) vs. Voshon Daniels (4-2)

After tapping out to a kimura in less than 40 seconds to Arn Anderson in his last fight, superb boxer/wrestler 'The Barnyard Brawler' is bouncing back to get back on the path of victory. He's after a much satisfactory derailing of 'The Pain Train' Voshon Daniels. Daniels also tapped to Anderson, in his case a classy americana, but in his last bout came back and put Ivar The Boneless to bed in the first round with an overhand right that still gives my children nightmares, and they didn't even watch the fight.

205 lbs. - Joshua Syracuse (3-2) vs. Evan Dryll (2-2)

Under brand new management and returning for his fifth Sydney appearance is strong boxer 'The Sauce' Syracuse. In his last bout he unfortunately gave his back away to Dai Zexi, who choked him out immediately given the chance. Even in the win and loss columns, Syracuse looks to get his career back on the right track against Evan Dryll, a man much in the same position. Evan Dryll hit the mat hard in his last fight, when Krit Leekpai smacked him with a hard right hand early in the first round. One of these men will be looking at a fresh start with a victory tonight, while the other may be looking for a new job.

205 lbs. - Jengo Makumba (3-1) vs. Kevin Durant (1-3)

155 lbs. - Jorma Suoro (3-1) vs. Philip Moore (1-2)

265+ lbs. - Ted Dibiase (2-1) vs. Jason Imbert (2-2)

265+ lbs. - Cat Fhin (3-3) vs. Ivar The Boneless (2-3)

205 lbs. - Carlos Silva (2-2) vs. Bull Mfer

Zedidiah "Zed" Goldberg: To all those that have doubted me along the way, like writers that think I would lose via submission to that hack, Jones, What do you think now? I am within a fight or two of the title. Of that there can be no doubt. I have the power in these hands to get to anyone's chin if they stick it out there long enough. I want Sergei Bumanov next. Not cause I think he's a bum or anything. Rather, it's because i think he is great. He fought for the title once and he is working himself right back to title contention. His only loss remains the title fight and I think that he will be a great fight and a solid challenge for me. Let's make it happen, boss man.

SyFi - Weekend Recap

The weekend brought SFC the highest climb in the Org Rankings so far, being on 15, after Sundays big Dance, cracking the 200 rating for the first time, when 2 Heavyweight unbeaten Giants met. But day by day, start off with Friday.

Friday:

Fridays Main Event was reserved for Lightweights, that want to make their way to the top, and had to come over some disappointments already, in the end, it was Xavier Merlin, the slight underdog submitting Pit Canthropus jr. Merlin worked his fantastic ground game to a sub win, going 3-1 at SFC; with his only loss coming to current Champ Justin Sane. In the Co-Main Event Sergei Bumanov took it all the way over 3 rounds dominating Mick Flannery, who never found a recipe against the Ukrainian. On the undercard, Wayne Williams and Gary Dema showed their class at 135, both rising to the top, and at 145 Joca Carioca and Steve Henley scored important wins, all 4 fighters belong to the Top 5 of their respective divisions afterwards.

Fight of the night: Roel Zuijderduijn vs Ricardo Burduada No Cranio

KO of the night: Wayne Williams

Sub of the night: Philip Ziskie

Saturday:

The Saturday brought us two title fights, and 2 title changes. The Main Event was all hyped up, and had 2 champions involved, 135 Champ Daichi Kishimoto came up to 145, and challenged freshly crowned champ Jazz Clementine. It was a fight, that had awesomeness written over it. And Round 1 showed both fighters gameplan, while Jazz wanted to dominate it standing, and did in the beginning, Daichi used his first takedown to swing the motion of the fight, he got after all kind of submisisons, and before the saving bell came, he applied a big one. Now Daichi Kishimoto is a 2 weight class champion at 135 and 145, a first at SFC.

At 170 Gideon Navarro used all advantages he had against Mike Johnson, who looked fatigued entering the cage. Navarro got him down, and applied a submission in less than 3 minutes, a big one for the US Fighter.

The undercard had several nicely ranked fighters, and upcomers, Iso Paa at 185 and Ingo Butzhammer at 170 represent the youth move at SFC, especially the young Butzhammer showed his class, beating the older Shanti by Decision, and the former Kickboxer established himself nicely at SFC. In addition youngster Zedidah Goldberg stayed unbeaten at 185, he will next take on also unbeaten Victor Creed, in what should be a great fight of young talent.

Fight of the night: Ingo Butzhammer vs Sagat Shanti

KO of the night: Zedidiah Goldberg

Sub of the night: Gideon Navarro

Sunday:

Superlatives are hard to find for the fight that highlighted and overshadowed this card. Rick Piano 10-0, unbeaten and defending his belt for the 3rd time, faced Santu Kona(7-0) from East Timor. A fighter, that got most his wins at NJMMA, and came here to get a title shot. In the cage, it was all Piano again, the SFC poster boy and admitted steroid taker made it a big win again. Santu never got his game going, he was looking for counters, but hardly did any damage, in and out of the clinch, it was after 4 minutes, when Piano connected big time, and as before, raised the SFC belt.

In the Co Main Event Stefan HArpik a veteran beat Canelo Lopez, winning his 2nd SFC fight, and looks a decent threat, being untested so far.

The undercard brought 135 talent Brain Fog with a win over COnor Joiesson, while Jim Bob McDonald rebounded nicely from a title fight loss at 265+, beating Voshon Daniels by KO. McDonald sure will look for another title shot. Evan Dryll and Kevin Durant at 205 scored valuable wins, in one of the deepest weight classes.

Fight of the night: Cat Fhin vs Ivar The Boneless

KO of the night: Bull Mfer

Sub of the night: Brain Fog

SyFi 58 Preview:

Another Saturday night and another night fans of mma will be flocking to Schonner's Bar in Sydney.

The Main Event is a title fight at 205 between Mister McNasty and Melvin Comeau. McNasty(9-3) the current champ and has been on tear since coming to Sydney Fights as he hasn't lost inside the cages of this promotion to date while knocking out everyone. Comeau(11-3) is a pretty similar fighter to the champion style wise. Both of these fighters will be looking to take the other's head off.

Prediction: Comeau KO

The Co-main Event is 155 pound fight between Gennady Golovkin and Evan Page. Golovkin(6-3) but is 5-1 inside SyFi. He is primarily a boxer. Page(5-2) is a kickboxer who primarily started making a name for himself knocking out bums at bumfights. This should be another fight of stand up action in a who's chin must go match.

Prediction: Page KO

The third fight on the main card is another 155er but has a very interesting aspect to it. It is between Akimbo Spice and Deklek Sitsongrit. Both of these fighters started their careers under the same manager before leaving him for someone else to oversee their careers. Now they are fighting eachother not that long after you have to wonder if there is some bad blood here. One thing for sure this fight has all the making of some fireworks.

Prediction: Spice KO

The fourth fight on the main card is between the guy who's name I can't stand to try and say Chakrii Weecharangsan and Chief Thunder Rolls. Weecharangsan(3-0) is a striker that has been begging someone to last more than one minute with him so he can maybe break a sweat. Rolls(4-1) has said he will take up that gauntlet but don't be fooled folks he isn't foolish enough to try and stand.

Prediction: Rolls Submission

The fight that will be kicking off the main card is between Man Itizer and Alexis Anderson. Itizer(8-5) and Anderson(4-3) records might not mirror one another but their styles certainly do. Both of these fighters are not only 26 years old but also use their wrestling to keep fights on the feet and swing for the fences with a bunch of ill will.

Prediction: Anderson KO

Undercard Predictions:

Lermontov KO

Messer KO

Mitchell KO

Mo KO

Loiri Submission

SyFi 57 Preview

205 lbs. (#4) Blake Phoenix vs. (#2) Pablo Spezziale

Blake Phoenix and Pablo "Heavy Metal" Spezziale are newcomers to the SFC, both men winning their debuts at separate Syfi events. They both come from an extensive background, and happened to face off against each other in NYFN Legends Tournament with result being in Spezziale's favor by TKO. This is a main event for a reason. This could be the biggest challenge Phoenix will have to face in his career. Can he get the defeat off his mind and push to the victory or will he lose again against his rival? You won't want to miss this.

265+ lbs. (#4) Maxim Popov vs. (#6) Hulk Hogan

In the co-main event, we have Maxim Popov facing off against Hulk Hogan. Both men defeating Jeff Messer, a solid contender in his division, Popov defeating him in his debut fight in SFC. Anything can happen between a striker and a grappler. Tune in for this top contender brawl!

265+ lbs. Ole Anderson vs. (#5) Fedor Vovchanchyn

Ole Anderson needs a win here against Fedor Vovchanchyn, a man who defeated Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan defeated Anderson just recently, making this an interesting fight.

145 lbs. (#7) Christian Cyborg vs. (#3) Marcos Santana

Christian "Santos" Cyborg is coming off his debut win in SFC against Big Sugg. His opponent is a former championship contender, Marcos "Ratinho" Santana. Up to the title fight, Santana won every fight so this should be interesting to see.

145 lbs. Ondrej Palat vs. Big Sugg

Big Sugg has had multiple fights in the organization since it was established. He is looking at a newcomer with great potential in Ondrej Palat. Sugg will need to wrestle his way to a decision or try to grind out a submission to win this one.

135 lbs. Justin Magnum vs. Paulie Greene

Whether he's winning or losing, "Code Red" Justin Magnum brings it when it comes to the cage. 3 fight of the night, and 1 KO of the night performance, Magnum is a showman. Paulie Greene, however, is a danger. A striker with scary Muay Thai, Greene is not to be taken lightly.

135 lbs. Chamuaknoi Sitsongrit vs. Marcelo Barbosa

Chamuaknoi Sitsongrit is undefeated so far coming off his second win against Lotus Flower. Barbosa is in a rough patch with 3 losses back to back. He is looking at a tremendous obstacle in his path in Sitsongrit.

135 lbs. Devlin Master vs. Lotus Flower

Devlin Master needs to watch for the submission skills of Lotus Flower. With a sub of the night performance, you can expect Flower to take this fight to the ground, and Master to avoid it.

155 lbs. Rik Dzejms vs. DaQuan Zachary

Rik "Mala Halid" Dzejms looks to be a promising prospect, debuting his first MMA fight in SFC. His opponent, DaQuan Zachary, is inferior in skill, but his experience could play a factor against the younger fighter.

155 lbs. Keon Fazeli vs. Killian Armstrong

Keon "Stun Grenade" Fazeli is coming off a loss at Syfi 46 to a tough opponent. Killian Armstrong lost his debut fight the same night. This is a comeback fight for one and a rough road for the other.

Prediction: Spice KO

We at the Sitsongrit camp haven't spoken to Deklek ever since he left our management but we bet there is bad blood there indeed as Akimbo Spice took advantage of bad wifi connection and a complete lack of internet skills from both manager Theksit Ruengruong at Rio de Janeiro and Put, the head coach at the Sitsongrit main camp in Bangkok, to pose as young muay thai fighter Petchuangtong.

The real Petchuangtong became ill the day he was supposed to fly to Rio; Spice somehow found out about it and pretended he was Petchuangtong. Petchuangtong is so lazy, none of the fighters that are at Sitsongrit MMA at Rio had ever seen him at the gym in Bangkok; so Spice was able to act as if he was the thai fighter, speaking minimum words, avoiding eye contact and training at strange hours when the gym was nearly empty. The farse was only discovered after a few months when Petchuangtong's 9 year old cousin back in Bangkok saw a youtube video with highlights from MMA champion Petchuangtong Sitsongrit at SFC and became desperate thinking his cousin had been kidnapped and undergone reconstructive facial surgery.

Knowing the two fighters well, we expect a KO win by the old champion Deklek.

SyFi 61 PREVIEW SHOW:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/manager_avatars/1512779455MyDog.jpg

Ikki Takeda: Hi Everyone I'm Ikki Takeda here with your SyFi Preview Show coming to you from Sydney where the event will be held.

We have a night of fights at Schooner's Bar consisting of not 1 but 2 title fights. I for one can't wait. I have a couple of guest lined up

for the show. Let's kick it off with the Main Event.

Ikki Takeda: Main Event is between Big Asznee and Joey Hatton for the 185 pound belt. Both of these guys are submission experts. Asznee was the longtime reigning champion before Losing to a KO to Apollo Reid complaining that it was just a lucky punch got an immediate rematch and won back his belt.

Now he is set to defend the belt once again. This time against Hatton a guy with a remarkable 10 wins by submission and has some striking to boot. Both of

these old dogs will be looking to see who's bark is worse than their bite Saturday. My prediction for this fight is the older old guy Joey Hatton by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The Co-main Event sees Daichi Kishimoto defending one of his two belts; his 145 belt against a guy who I can't say his name. Kishimoto sports some decent striking and is currently the only black belt bjj fighter fighting under the Sydney Fights banner. I will have to do a bit of a checking to make sure on that one but I believe it's accurate. After checking the accolades of the top ranked 25 fighters that seems to still hold up so I feel confident in that remark. The challenger who I can't say his name has some very good submission defense that will definitely be tested and he has probably the most decorated striking inside Sydney Fights aside from Santu Avisu Kona. My prediction is Kishimoto by submission and mainly because I can say his name.

Ikki Takeda: The third fight on the main card is a rock em sock em heavyweight fight between two great heavy hitters pun intended. Travis Dillon vs Mika Allu. I could definitely see either of these two guys getting a title shot against Rick Piano as there almost isn't anyone left aside from KOing guys he already has. By the way Rick lay off the steroids already. Both of these guys use their great wrestling to keep fights on the feet and have purple belts in bjj to defend and get it back to the feet in the event their wrestling doesn't hold up. And both of these fighters sport a ton of accolades in the standing game. How do you choose a winner here? Well can I have a drum roll please? :guitar: Ehh close enough. My prediction is Allu by KO.

Ikki Takeda: The fourth fight on the main card is between two of the oldest guys in the org. Rivo Riitta and Marduk Amar Utu. Amar Utu is a wrestler with a bit of bjj and prefers the old ground and pound approach to the fight the game. I have Rivo Riitta here with me. Hi Rivo.

Rivo Riitta: Hi Ikki thanks for having me on your first show.

Ikki Takeda: You're welcome. So who do you think will win your fight and why?

Rivo Riitta: Well I will of course. I have a big advantage in the bjj game so if he wants to use his wrestling I welcome him to bring the fight into my domain and I actually have some striking where he hasn't shown anyone his striking at all.

Ikki Takeda: Very well said Rivo. So I understand you had a little problem with your training camp getting ready for this fight. Care to share with us?

Rivo Ritta: Yeah I had to actually take a couple weeks off and couldn't train as I caught staph.

Ikki Takeda: Oh my that's not good. Is it all cleared up now?

Rivo Riitta: Yeah if it wasn't I wouldn't have been cleared to fight. No clue how Kevin Lee got cleared to fight when he had it.

Ikki Takeda: Thank you for coming onto the show Riitta.

Ikki Takeda: And the fight that will be kicking off the main card is between Silvio Dante and Half Life. Both fighters fancy themselves as strikers despite their records. Dante(4-3) and Life(3-3-1). They have seen virtually everything. Will the old dog prevail or the young gun show up and make it a dog fight and wear out the gas tank of the old fighter. My prediction Life by KO.

Ikki Takeda: Let's get under way with my undercard predictions. Sung will submit Morrison. Avery will KO Parks. Heath will submit Bull. Yelats will pick up his very first win. Sagat will KO Built. And speaking of Built I have him on the show.

Yormomza Built: Hi Ikki and you are nuts if you think Sagat is going to KO me. I might have had a rocky start but I will eventually be the one to take the belt from Rick Piano. Mark my words.

Ikki Takeda: No doubt you have a solid striking game and that has been the only avenue we have seen from him, but isn't a bit early and shouldn't you have a win in mma before making such claims?

Yormomza Built: I'm not in this sport because I don't believe in myself or that I don't want to be number one. It's like they say in Never Back Down "If you want to be the best you have to beat the best."

Ikki Takeda: That saying has been around a lot longer than that movie has been, but I see your point.

Yormomza Built: Besides I fight clean and can pass any test. He is an admitted steroid freak. He is one of the problems with this sport. I doubt he would be champion if it wasn't for them.

Ikki Takeda: So if you beat Sagat where do you see that puts you in the division?

Yormomza Built: I think when I beat Sagat and then I beat 4 more guys in a row and will be on a five fight winning streak at that point that I will at that point be in line for a shot at the belt.

Ikki Takeda: Well that is all the time we have here and I wish you luck on your fight Saturday.

SyFi - Weekend Recap:

It was another great weekend at SyFi, Sydney saw the 2nd best SFC card ever, when on Saturday the fights got treated with a great 205 title fight, that almost brought a champion Change, but in the end the Champ prevailed in the Champions rounds, but let's go day by day.
Friday:
While the small weight classes dominated the undercard, it was a 205 fight, that was put on center stage, with the title fight one day away, Blake Phoenix and Pablo Spezziale where trying to decide, who would be the next 205 challenger. For the two, in one of the deepest weight classes, it was a revenge fight, Spezziale Kod Phoenix in a NY Tournament. This time a KO was not seen, but the fight was neither bright for Blake Phoenix. Phoenix got cut with one of the first punches Spezziale threw.15 minutes later a 30:27 on all scorecards made it official Pablo Spezziale won, and will be the next No. 1 Contender at 205.
The Co Main Event was a 265+ fight, and Maxim Popov needed only 39 seconds to KO Hulk Hogan. Popov now will move close to a title fight with that win. In other 265+ Action Ole Anderson broke a 3 fight loss streak, submitting Fedor Vovchavcyn.
In 135 and 145 action, Christian Cyborg and Bigg Sugg got wins at 145, while Paulie Greene showed class at 135, and former contender Marcelo Barbosa snapped a 3 fight skid. However his future is basicaly undecided, with his SyFi contract running out.
Fight of the night: Paulie Greene vs Justin Magnum
KO of the night: Maxim Popov
Sub of the night: Ole Anderson
Saturday:
Title fights are always special, and that special feeling mainly comes around, when the Championship Rounds begin, No. 4 and 5. That night in Sydney, Melvin Comeau looked to grab the 205 belt from Mister McNasty, and most experts saw him clear ahead after 3 rounds, however his face looked plastered after 3 rounds mainly in the clinch with the Champ. Round 4 didn't make it better, Comeau still eahead on points had blood and an open cut looking bad, The Ref had to call the doctor 1 minute into Round 5, and he signalled the stoppage. Mister McNasty, a clinch specialist, made it again, title defense No. 3.
In the Co- Main Event Comeaus Stablemate Evan Page had better luck, fighting former Champ Golovkin in his 2nd fight after moving up from 145, he showed a lot of class. Golovkin hang in there with him, but Page got the unanimous decision, having thrown more than 100 Head Punches, and signalling fight of the night. Evan Page now has the No. 1 Contender Sign on his back.
Another 155 magical fight was Akimbo Spice, also a former Champ, with lots of controversy fighting former stablemate Deklek Sitsongrit. And Spice showed weaknesses we had not seen before, Deklek scored a big 1st round KO, showing his class at 155.
Other action saw Chakrii Weechagaram and Fiyero Lermontov pick up wins to surely put them in Mondays Rankings at 155. At 185 Alexis Anderson and Nils Ragnaar scored valuable wins. And at 265+ Bwana Mkubwa Kod former contender Jeff Messer big time.
Fight of the night: Evan Page vs Gennady Golovkin
KO of the night: Chakrii Weecharangsan
Sub of the night: Kimi Loiri
Sunday:
The card on Sunday was highlighted by the 155 title fight, and it was a special one, with both fighters having not made the cut at 100% Energy, lots of romours of missed flights, wrong training and not used teleporting were in the circle, but in the end both made it to the Cage.
And there the Champion Justin Sane showed his class, he made an easy takedown and never looked back. Murphy Brown denied some submission attempts, but after 3:37 a Kimura ended the fight, and Sane defended the belt.
In the Co-Main Event Carnera and Camara gave it all, it was a stand-up war, that the fans appreciated, Carnera was cut early, but fought tough, standing the test of time, and in the end got a unanimous decision win. Rumours say, that Carnera is in line to soon get another shot against McNasty, if he can keep performing like this.
The undercard showed a lot of the future of SyFi.
At 185 Wayne Benning dominated Sub Zero, and showed his class, a third win in a row with a 2nd round TKO, and Benning clearly wants another shot at the belt, as all indications are he will stand that test.
At 205 Pork Destroyer, Corey Smith jr. And Bann Harrow all claimed victories, and all of them should be ranked soon and standing in line to make it to the top.
At 170 the same can be said about Roy Whittaker, unbeaten at SFC, he beat Nilo Pustok in a great fight, where he showed endurance on the ground, and once back on his feet he got a KO win.
Fight of the night: Mauro Carnera vs Damatang Camara
KO of the night: Corey Smith Jr
Sub of the night: Luiz Santos

Glass Joe: Great to be back in Sydney again and meeting all my fans here. I look forward to my 7th fight in the SFC. Pinched Nerve is a younger guy but has been training since long before I started with MMA and under experienced managers as well. I love that, will make my victory worth so much more. I had a good training period before this one and I feel ready to deliver another fight of the night performance.

SyFi 60 Preview

135 lbs. #1 Glass Joe vs. #4 Pinched Nerve

The moment you've been waiting for! Glass Joe defends his spot at the top of the rankings against #4 ranked Pinched Nerve. Both of these men have recently lost to the current champion of this division, Daichi Kishimoto. Nerve will bring the grappling and Muay Thai advantages in his game, while Joe will need to rely on his boxing and wrestling to sprawl and brawl his way to victory! Oh, man, let's just get to it, shall we?

205 lbs. Unknown Combatant vs. Ivashin Dmitrievich

This is such a closely even matchup that it is hard to tell who will come out on top. Besides the slight advantage in boxing by Dmitrievich, him and his opponent are virtually identical. As always an exciting co-main event, leading into our finale tonight.

135 lbs. #8 Dieselnoi Por Pramuk vs. #3 Yodsawan Sitsongrit

Dieselnoi Por Pramuk has lost against the champion and #1 contender of the 135 lbs division, making this an important fight for both fighters to maintain the possibility of title contention. Yodsawan Sitsongrit is on a four win streak hype and straight off a great fight with Justin Magnum. The level of competition is enormous in this fight. A great lead into the main events!

205 lbs. Luke Bentley vs. Yunieor Dorticosos

Luke Bentley is a strong striker with potential knockout power. Dorticosos is a skilled Muay Thai striker, coming off of two losses. If he looks to break that unfortunate streak, we will be looking at an intense standup battle.

265 lbs. Peter Steel vs. Daniel Silva

This one should be interesting. Steel is a wrestler and Silva, a brown belt in BJJ, but both fighters leave much to be desired in the sense of striking. Steel seems to have a slight upper hand in that department. Will Steel abandon what he's skilled at and try to keep this on the feet, or will Silva get him to the ground and pick him apart?

265 lbs. Tourney Disappointment vs. Cesar Rogers

Disappointment is a standup fighter coming off a loss against his previous manager's fighter Isaac Arthur. Rogers is an undefeated grappler looking to face his toughest challenge tonight. Can Rogers maintain the streak or will he fall victim to Disappointment's striking?

265 lbs. Phol Mfer vs. Mustafa Al Mombasa

Phol Mfer debuted his first MMA fight in SyFi 48 with a victory by TKO against Bald Bull, now he is set to face Mustafa Al Mombasa. Mombasa hasn't set foot in a SyFi event, but tonight he is looking to be taken seriously by the organization.

265 lbs. Ulf Ulvesson vs. Itzhak Weinstein

Ulvesson, a sensational boxer, faces off against Weinstein, a highly skilled Muay Thai artist. With only a handful of fights between the two, this should be a good fight for the both of them, and a nice fight to watch.

205 lbs. John Tucker vs. Clay Frazier

John Tucker holds a record of 1 and 4 in SFC, all his losses being back to back. He goes up against a newcomer, Clay Frazier, who holds a win in his first fight in the organization against Chuck Thompson. On paper, Frazier is the more skilled fighter. Can Tucker defy the odds to get out of this slump?

205 lbs. Jeremy Jones vs. Chuck Thompson

This one should be a close fight with both fighters needing a win tonight. Jones debuts tonight in SFC, while Thompson is a newcomer who's coming off his first fight and loss in the organization.

Glass Joe: That was a good win for me against a tough opponent based on his background. May not have had his best day when we fought, but I'll take it. Was going for the knockout in third round, but Nerve showed some heart there and gave back as good as he got for a while. Come better prepared next time and you will be winning fights.

Also congrats Kishimoto to your success in 145.

Glass Joe: Yes heard they want us to have a go at it again. I have been doing your job beating down all the contenders here while you were away, only the two of us left at the top now. I'm ready to give Bob and the fans what they want. I trained hard, I'm at the top of my game now, a more complete MMA fighter than I ever been before. You got me fair and square last time, but I won't be sticking my neck out like that again. I'm big time underdog here against #doublechamp, but I don't mind. I always did my best fights when they said that and for this one I'll be bringing everything I got.

Zedidiah "Zed" Goldberg: I have a very important fight coming up here is just about one month. My opponent is a very formidable and undefeated Victor Creed. He will be the toughest challenge of my career. He is a fantastic fighter on the ground and it remains to be seen whether I can put him away before he puts me away. I look forward to this fight against a worthy opponent. I respect his skills and frankly, I am not sure if I can beat him, but this likely has title implications, so I will be looking for the gold and will treat this fight with the importance that it likely has. May the best man win, Creed.

Weekend Recap

Another great weekend of action passes by, and by Sunday Night SFC had cemented it's standing in the Top 20, with a nice 200 Event Rating but let's go day-by-day.

Friday:

On first look Fridays Card was not that amazing, as it was the only day without a title fight, and a lot of big weight categories on the menu.

The Main Event however was at 135, with Glass Joe taking another step towards another shot at the belt, he held first. Unbeaten since loosing to Daichi Kishimoto, he went through Pinched Nerve without blinking. Shot by Shot landed, and the tactic of Glass Joe worked, earning him a decision win. In the Co-Main Event Ivashin Diemitrichev made his SyFi debut, and the 5-5 veteran got the win, with abig KO over Unknown Combatant a former ranked SFC fighter.

At 135 the first undercard fight showed the talent of Yodasawan Sitsongrit, who is aiming at receiving a title shot soon, as he fought to a decision win over Diesolnoi Por Pramuk. In other action some young hopefuls got wins, with Luke Bentley, Peter Steel and Tournament Disappointment picking up wins to move them closer to ranking positions.

Fight of the night: Yodsawan Sitsongrit vs Dieselnoi Por Pramuk

KO of the night: Mustafa Al Mombasa

Saturday:

2 Titles on the line, the Saturday Menu showed us two great title defenses in well fought out decision battles.

Big Asznee beat Challenger Joey Hatton in a crueling match, with all 5 rounds taking place mainly on the ground, both fighters gave everything to land a submission, but it was the Champ coming out with the Decision win. Hatton demanded a rematch, but SyFi officials played it strict to Hype Rankings and gave Wayne Benning the next title shot.

At 145 Daichi Kishimoto brought both belts to the cage, but only his 145 belt was at stake, due to some contract stipulations this title fight was only set for 3 rounds, which made it gruntelsome and a bittersweet win for Kichimoto, with fight fans waiting for Round 4 Kishimoto was announced as the winner. Илья Муромец was disappointed, and hoping for another shot at the belt he once held.

On the undercard, Trvis Dillon showed his class at 265, and perhaps is a soon to be title contender, he dominated unbeaten Mika Allu and needed only 1:45 to end the bout. Surely he will pay close attention to Rick Pianos next fights.Rivo Riitta, Silvio Dante and Sam Sung picked up other valuable undercard wins.

Fight of the night: Silvio Dante vs Half Life

KO of the night: Yormomza Built

Sub of the night: Sam Sung

Sunday:

The weekend ended with a big bang, Arn Anderson, one of the longest reigning champs in SFC lost his title, after 4 succesful defenses and submission after submission Mongolian Muslim gave everything to beat the veteran, and he did. In Round 3, after denying several sub attempts, the Mongolian Fighter found his pace and TKOed Anderson. As far as we know, the contract for a rematch is already being prepared.

In the Co Main Event Dai Zexi kept on winning, unbeaten since joining SFC, he submitted Krit Leekpai in Round 2. A fight, that will put Zexi in the status of a potential challenger soon.

Kazuma Kawubare picked up another win at 205, staying unbeaten and moving.

The fight of the night however was a draw between unbeaten Pahani Pulmu and Edgar Arvestiyan, as they put on the show of the night, but both couldn't come closer to the dream of a title fight.

Fight of the night: Edgar Avetisyan vs Pahani Julmu

KO of the night: Koichi Kamei

Sub of the night: Kazuma Kuwabara
