The League (Season 1)

Welcome to the League - an OPEN ID + 350k, year-long competition that will culminate into three separate 'Crowning Tournaments' in November/December. The Crowning tournaments will be 8-man tournaments seeded from a 6-month regular season. The 'Kings' will all be awarded with custom trophies and a cash prize. The sum is yet to be determined as of today.

Weight Classes

Open ID

Lightweight - 170 and below (Contracts signed at WW)

Middleweight - 171-204 (Contracts signed at LHW but all competitors will have to be able to make 204 lbs)

Heavyweight - 205 and above (Contracts signed at 265)

350K

Lightweight - 155 and below (Contracts signed at LW)

Middleweight - 156-185 (Contracts signed at MW)

Heavyweight - 186 and above (Contracts signed at 265+)

Scoring

Win = 3 points

Loss = 1 point

1st round finish = 3 bonus points for victor

2nd round finish = 2 bonus points for victor

Decision = 1 bonus point for both fighters

Contracts

All contracts will be non-exclusive and without signing bonuses. This is not meant to be your main fight org. If you want to be exclusive, that is fine, but realize you are fighting 4 times in the regular season - which runs until the end of the year. The League is meant to be a place to pop in and out over the course of the year and is not meant to disrupt other orgs' business.

Matchmaking

There will be no pool A, pool B etc.. All standings will be grouped by weight classes. When a fighter is ready to compete, he will sign up for an event. Every fighter who is ready to compete in an event will go into a Fight Pool. A week or two before the event, contracts will be sent out. After the contracts are signed, the matchups will be created and sent out. These matchups will be randomzied every event. There will be no rematches until the final tournament. If a rematch occurs, the matchups will be re-shuffled randomly.

Regular Season Schedule

Every fighter can participate in a maximum of 4 fights. There is no minimum limit.

Episode 1 - May 15th

Episode 2 - May 30th

Episode 3 - June 15th

Episode 4 - June 30th

Episode 5 - July 15th

Episode 6 - July 30th

Episode 7 - August 15th

Episode 8 - August 30th

Episode 9 - September 15th

Episode 10 - September 30th

Episode 11 - October 15th

Episode 12 - October 30th

Playoff Schedule

Opening Round - Day 1 - November 15th

Opening Round - Day 2 - November 16th

Second Round - November 30th

Finals - December 15th

How do I sign up?

Please only participate if:

- You are ready to fight anyone in terms of skills and ID

- You can commit to the final tournament schedule

- You are a FA, or your currently contracted org is willing to make you available for 4 regular season matchups + playoffs

If that is all true, please send me a message and let me know which event you'd like to sign up for

Hey folks,

Tev from UG gave me the idea to open this up to an ID restriction, and I think it's a great idea.

I'm going to open 3 more division for 350k fighters. The divisions will still be kind of old school again, in that I'm only going with 3 (LW, MW, HW). This could change next year if people have an issue with that much potential weight difference.

Season 1 - Episode 1

Previews

Heavyweight

Matchup #1 -- Ibrahim "Dishonest as Fuck" Camara (24-14) vs. Schmorgen Biscuit (23-19)

Ibrahim Camara

What to watch for: Camara is an elite striker who relies on his quick hands and clinch striking to overwhelm his opponents. The West African fighter has a growing kicking game but mostly uses it as a tool for distance to set up his combinations.

How they got here: Camara was born in West Africa and moved to Europe to pursue women and money. A long career has seen the fighter win titles in Los Angeles, New York and Australia. With two recent loasses to top competition, Ibrahim is looking to get back to his winning ways.

Accomplishments: Major League Combat Openweight Champion, Sydney Fights Light Heavyweight Champion, RISE Light Heavyweight Champion, Empire FC Middleweight Champion. 12 Fight Night bonuses (9 Fight, 3 KO)

Schmorgen Biscuit

What to watch for: Schmorgen Biscuit is a front footed pressure fighter who likes to come in behind punches and put you on your back. Biscuit is at his best when he can swarm his opponent from top control and look for the finish with punches or submissions.

How they got here: Biscuit is a loyal fighter with 25 fights in the IFC organization and another 13 with Empire in New York. The heavyweight is coming off a short stint is his management's org, Panda Fights.

Accomplishments: While never a title challenger, Biscuit has been in the ring with some of the P4P best fighters in the world like Iain Tower and Thierry Paulin. 6 Fight Night bonuses (5 Fight, 1 Submission)

Middleweight

Matchup #1 -- N/A (N/A) vs. N/A (N/A)

Fighter A

What to watch for:

How they got here:

Accomplishments:

Fighter B

What to watch for:

Accomplishments:

Lightweight

Matchup #1 -- Oliver Hedman Karlsson (22-14) vs. "The Lion Killer" Gary Tonon (31-29)

Oliver Hedman Karlsson

What to watch for: Karlsson is a threat on the feet and ground. With high level kickboxing mixed in with an effective top control game, Karlsson will be a threat to any fighter in the tournament.

How they got here: Karlsson comes into the organization after winning two featured bouts in the Bloodbath organization with new management Tev Clark. Karlsson previously had a unsuccessful run in Syn after a 27 fight run at MMA Helsinki. Karlsson notably made his debut at UGD in London, an organization created and run by his opponent's management, Jamie McKenna.

Accomplishments: TWGC 23 D1 Bronze Medalist, Former MMA Helsinki WW Title Challenger. Karlsson has 9 Fight Night awards (6 Fight, 1 Submission, 2 KO)

Gary Tonon

What to watch for: Tonon is a grappler through and through, and is able to perform from any position with his submission and ground and pound skills. Tonon has developed a serviceable standup game over his lengthy career, but uses it mostly as a way to setup takedowns.

How they got here: Tonon is making his return to MMA after an 8-match run the grappling org CACC. After 60 MMA fights and 14 grappling matches, Tonon and his management have been contemplating retirement from competition. We're hoping this tournament provides the spark for both to return, or at least one last run before retirement.

Accomplishments: Tonon was once the #1 WW in the world and P4P #8 after stopping Fook Man in what would be the biggest victory in his career. Tonon has 12 Fight Night bonuses (4 Fight, 5 Submission, 3 KO)

Matchup #2 -- Rap Tori (15-12) vs. Dominick "Dominator" Bruise (9-9)

Rap Tori

What to watch for: Rap Tori was primarily a submission wrestler in his early career but has fallen love with striking more recently. The Finnish fighter has a large tool box of punches, kicks, GnP and submissions, but he'll need to sharpen his focus to be successful in this league.

How they got here: Tori will be making his first appearance under his new management after an unsuccessful run at some of the top orgs in the game, GAMMA and CEC. Tori has an unspectacular record but has faced elite competition most of the way.

Accomplishments: 2 x SP ICON Lightweight Champion. 6 Fight Night bonuses (2 Fight, 4 Submission)

Dominick Bruise

What to watch for: Dominick Bruise likes to throw the kitchen sink at you with a variety of strikes, while mixing in takedowns and GnP to keep you on your toes.

How they got here: Bruise has dabbled in professional kickboxing, grappling and MMA - with regional MMA and CACC grappling being his most recent endeavors.

Accomplishments: 1 Fight of the Night bonus

First batch of fight offers are going out but I'm hoping to book some 350k for next weekend. Jump in if you're interested

If you want this guy: Alistair "Punk Wilder" OverLimp (350773)

Please contact HFC to have him released.

Signed him 2 weeks ago but no offers and they looking busy so it should be easy enough to do. Contract inactivity kicks in 9 days anyways and I have no problem returning the signing bonus (I always do this). Should be cool no hard feelings.

Fair warning: This is by far my most confused creation lol , so he might not be great like the others but he wil put on a show I promise. Just contact J.W. and it should be a super easy release and signed with you for my fight next week.

I want to keep my 350k guys active since the first part of their training is done and depops are real.

Thanks, very happy Ibby will take part on The League tourney :)

350k is in really bad shape and could use 2 more orgs. Anything you can do to help is appreciated.

tev is one of the brightest business men in the game and I 1000% agree with this suggestion :)

Cheers, looking for fighters for you as we speak.

I really appreciate whoever's coming in here and negging posts.

I'm trying to hustle and make a fun org. If you're not participating or supporting, fuck off

I just +1 all posts I could.

If you want this info (on who is negging you) shamed moderator TJ usually provides his alliance with this info. I am sure he will have no issues giving you the info also.

Cheers, I appreciate the support you've given this early in the org's run

I don't really care who did it, I just don't like the idea people are coming in here just to neg shit. I'm not into the cringe forum drama

Well, I tried.

I was excited for this org and I'm sorry I couldn't convince you the same.

With that said, I'll be closing the org after the first event.

I've sent over a hundred contracts and messages and received maybe 4 total replies.

I was hoping I could build this org and show you I could repeat the success of KOTB with something new and fun, but for some reason people don't respect my ability of that side of the game.

Maybe it's because I'm not in an alliance or participating in chat rooms or something, I dunno.

I'll go back to checking my fighters a couple times per week and being a mediocre manager.

Peace

No worries mate, everyone has their fare share of ups and downs, believe me, maybe this was your down point and therefore your highs will not be too far away.

But i think i might know why some managers did not fancy coming here, and i am just guessing here. Well, Mr Camara here does not have the best of reputation in this game and so you being half decent with him probably made the others mind up to not come here.

at least you will have some goodness left in you, thanks to me.

No one's negged your posts. As for Camara's...pick a name out of a hat really it's a mixed bag.

TJ don't waste your time talking about CAMARA mate. at least for the first time in his life he tried to do something good for another person, although, you know, due to his good deeds he took poor old DR.OCTAGON down along with himself, but we can ignore that. Or maybe not.
