Kyle Carlton started his MMA career at age 18 under the management of Andy Mugler (30539). He was blessed with blinding speed for a big Heavyweight, and Incredible, one punch, granite chin breaking power. He holds 37 wins, and all have come by KO or TKO.

Carlton started his career on a 14-0 undefeated winning streak before Anton Chigurh ended his win streak with stunning TKO loss. Carlton re-built his fighting cautious approach and starting his win streak again, winning 8 in a row by Knockout including a KO victory over Anton Chigurh getting revenge for his first ever loss. Carlton also knocked out MMA and K-1 Legend Don Marciano in under 4 minutes.

Victor Creed was the man to dethrone Carlton this time, taking to EVO Heavyweight Title from his hands. Kyle Carlton gave up his UPG, MLC & EMP Heavyweight Titles. Carlton soon after defeated Kane Williams and Emeka Shakur.

He then went 9-7 in his next 16 fights. He fought for Syn' Champion twice, losing both times and then moved to GAMMA where he won the Heavyweight Title twice, and defended it a total of 5 times, eventually losing 2 of 3 fights and his Championship to Kenichi Shirahama. Carlton, at age 35 retired and separated from his management, although him and Andy Mugler stay good friends.

With the encouragement of manager Bradley Burns (1540), Kyle Carlton signed to his management and vowed to fight again, less than 1 year after his retirement. He quickly took a fight in one of the Tycoon world's best orgs, Ascension and defeated Dr Schultz by 1st round KO. He then fought at CFC in Montreal, the oldest org in the game and defeated Juan Velasquez at the CFC FINALE for now event winning the CFC Heavyweight Title.

Carlton then went back to Ascension and lost his next fight to Nai Khanom Tom by way of stunning, shocking KO which left fans crying and shaken. Seeing the results of his KO loss, he contemplated retirement again. Instead, Bradley Burns forced him to fight 2 more times in Ascension, and he dominated both fights KO'ing Rupert Ritzik & Cinder Smaug in one round, with one punch.

And here we stand, what is next for Carlton? We will find out soon!

First fight against Kenichi Shirihama.

"Posted 30 July 2014 - 03:46 AM"

"Another night of high octane fight action, put on by the MMA powerhouse GAMMA, yet again has fight fans roaring for more around the globe. This was a night for the big men to shine with no more than 5 Super Heavyweight bouts for the 93,318 strong Wombley Arena crowd to admire, and shine they did.

Kyle Carlton 29-5-0 Def. Kenichi Shirihama 28-13-1 Via TKO(2:31 Rd3). Another knockout victory for the heavy handed Carlton who has achieved the same result in all of his victorious professional fights. Carlton nearly finished the fight after just over a minute of the 1st round, a booming left right combination landing and stunning Shirihama only for Carlton to wave him back up to his feet. However, Shirihama wasn’t going to be taken out so easily gathering his senses for the rest of the round, managing a sweet double leg takedown in the process. The second round started and Shirihama had obviously gained a lot of confidence from his takedown and listening to the advice of his corner managed to land another takedown early in the round, this time a single leg into the guard of Carlton. He was unable to cash in on the dominant position though as Carlton was able to show his ground game controlling Shirihama long enough for the referee to call for the fight to return to the feet. The two men exchanged some good blows for the rest of the round with Carlton connecting a solid uppercut which rocked Shirihama, who then recovered and finished the round with a last second take down. Shirihama started the third round visibly tired from the sheer juggernaught style of Carlton. After toying with his opponent for 2 minutes Carlton finally landed the decisive blow a booming right hand which sent Shirihama to the mat, Carlton swarmed in landing shot after shot until the referee stepped in."

"My Next opponent is announced. A rematch with Dr Schultz at Ascension 340 min 5 days time. We both took the fight on short notice and I respect him for that. Our first fight ended in a Knockout victory for me, in my first fight with my new manager Bradley Burns."

Carlton tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Schultz's elbow.
Schultz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Schultz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carlton.

Schultz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Carlton lands a jab-cross combination.

BREAKING NEWS!

Kyle Carlton has signed with EVO. He has stated he wants his Title back, and called out Scott Norton after P4P King Leo Ferreira declined to fight anyone. The fight will take place in London at Wombley Arena (93,607), on September 12th 2015.

Kyle Carlton is 5-1 with 5 KO's since teaming with his new management Bradley Burns and Team Burns/Canadian Elite Punishment. Both men will be going for the KNOCKOUT, and I have a feeling Norton will fall before Round ONE is over.

Carlton said "Leo wouldn't take a chance and fight me before his retirement party. He is taking an early retirement because he knows I'm back around and want my Title back. My legacy is greater than his anyways so he needs to fight me to say his career was meaningful."

"I respect Norton, thats why I want to fight him.. He isn't going to run away, he's not going to be a puss and take me down when he is losing the stand up. This win and I'm making sure I get a title shot, at whoever the Champ is or isn't I don't care, I deserve my belt back."

Carlton vs Norton FACE OFF.

bellator116.0.jpg

At the main pre-fight press conference.

The stare-down seemed to last an eternity with neither man taking their eyes off each-others. Carlton had a big smile looking glad to be there while Norton was all focus and stone faced.

Great respect has been shown between the two leading up to their Super Heavyweight bout, but Kyle Carlton made sure to throw a verbal jab at Norton that seemed to displease his foe.

"He looks scared, his eyes kept staring off somewhere else. He doesn't want to be here, I do."

Norton charged Carlton before bystanders and security broke up the scuffle before it happened.. Carton laughed and shrugged it off, saying

"He has to do that now because he knows I see his mental weakness. He just showed me more."

When Norton was asked to comment on Carlton, he was short and quick to say "I'm scared of no man."

Walking off, Carlton posed and screamed "My Title is coming back home to me baby."

And in other news.. Joe Rogan KO's Schaub in event.

Fighter of the week

http://i57.tinypic.com/1h5z5d.jpg

"Killer" Kyle Carlton

This american HW sensation needs little introduction to MMA fans worldwide as he is know to be one of the toughest SOB's around.

He has always been a huge star with his first manager, Andy Mugler, who parted ways with his fighter after losing the gamma title and not being able to get it back in the immediate rematch. It was a moment that Bradley Burns took advantage of, as he was able to sign Kyle Carlton to his roster of fighters and has managed him ever since.

Kyle started his career in dominating and destructive fashion, but going 14-0 with all 14fights being finishes as well. He then joined Gamma, but lost his fight. He wouldn't let that loss bother him , as he would go on to win the UGP, MLC, EMP, EVO, Gamma and CFC title. HIs is still the CFC champion as we speak. Kyle has good some amazing opponents, but has slaughtered most of those as well. A few very impressive wins of his 'early' career ( with Andy Mugler) are his wins over Fidel Duberry , Ryo Narushima , Brick Tires , Lan Mandragoran,Willy Stoppers and Don Marciano. Standing 192cm tall and weighing 273lbs, Kyle Carlton seems to have unmatched KO power as he has won all of his 38 career victories by by (t)KO and has KO'd some of the toughest granite chins out there.

After his top notch career with Andy Mugler, a time were he even reached the number one p4p rank, he would sign a deal with Ascension. In his debut, he made short work of Dr. Schultz and put him away in less than 3 minutes. His next fight was for the CFC title and he made even shorter work of his opponent. After his return to ascension, he slipped over a banana peel in the cage and lost the fight. It might have been a skateboard also, but who knows, it was a strange day that day ... It didn't really matter all that much as he won his next 3 fights in dominating fashion once again. He could have been the FOTW not long ago with a great win, but this week's win made him gain the title now .

Dr. Schultz was on a 3 fight winning streak going into the fight and was desperate to get another shot at Kyle. Its hard to say that the fight wasn't as brutal as the first time as it really was. He finished the fight 1 second earlier than last time and everyone in the stadium was wondering if that was on purpose and if he had waited for that time. He had claimed that the fight would be identical before the fight, so those rumors could have some truth to them. I asked him in the post fight press conference and you know what he said? Well, he said that his coach yelled 'nooow!!' and that he then throw the perfect big right hand to finish the fight. Maybe Bradley wasn't checking his timepiece correctly or a small error happened, but the fight was stopped a second earlier. I heard that the evening after the fight, Bradley was seen in an ambulance and mumbling ' shit, just one second man...'.

We wish this crazy big hitter best of luck in his scheduled fight at EVO vs Scott Norton and hope that you will get your hand raised once again and can go on to fight those select few at the top that you are hunting down.

Congrats on becoming FOTW, altough I guess that is only a sidenote to such an impressive career...

Sorry that I posted it a few days later, but I had a bit of a crazy week. I hope that the write-ups or fun and enjoyable for you all!

-Bjorn-

"Killer" Kyle Carlton

"I have hit another crossroads in my career. Scott Norton & Hans Beck both Knocked me out in under 1 Minute in EVO. Me and my manager Bradley spoke heavily on the subject and I convinced him not to release me from his management. I know I still have something left to give, and to prove. My chin might be shot at this point but my KO power never went away, I can still KO anybody in the world.

My next opponent is Douglas Quaid, he is known as a heavy handed striker and I plan on scoring a big KO comeback win and keep pushing forward. I will win this fight, and have my hand raised high when the end bell rings."

Carlton weighed in at 249.8 lbs last night. his opponent Douglas Quaid weighed in at 235lbs even.

Carlton was asked "What can the fans expect tomorrow night at EVO?"

His response shook the house

"LA Memorial Colossuseum, you will see the King return. I will win and you will see fireworks.. The re-birth of the best damn EVO Champion ever. I might be old but I can still KO anyone. 93 thousand fans will see me bring myself back from the dead and put myself right in line for my Title again. In the Heavyweight division especially in EVO, a few losses doesn't kill your hype all that much, just like the UFC, a few wins is all you need to be the guy fighting for the Title."

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/img_star.gif After dominating the first round, landing at will, Douglas Quaid would not go down. Quaid was hit with a barrage of punches in the opening 5 minutes and had rubbery legs multiple times but refused to fall or give in, and continued to move forward as the two went blow for blow, rock em sock em robots for 5 minutes. Both men landed huge shots, but Quaid looked much worse for wear after round 1. Just seconds into round 1. Quaid rocked Carlton and scored a KO win with a flash Superman Punch which turned off the confident Carlton's lights.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/img_star.gif Carlton had these things to say at the post fight press conference -
lavarjohnson1.png

"I was winning, his shots weren't affecting me at all until he put me to sleep, he's a great fighter, big power when he wants to.."

"I felt his legs go rubber like 4 or 5 times, I was smashing him with combo's and overhand rights, big uppercuts.. He just wouldn't fall.. Toughest chin I've ever faced I'd say.."

"This actually gives me confidence, I hung in there with a prime, young fighter and got caught, that's the sport."

"2 fights left in EVO, Bradley assured me that if I continue to train hard and put up a good fight, we will continue fighting and working on getting myself back into a Title picture. EVO is top 3 orgs in the world, and competition here is only for the best. Losing in this org isn't something I will get upset about, I make a lot of money to come out here and KO someone or get KO'd."

Kyle Carlton announced Tuesday he will be representing UPG at the MMA Tycoon OLYMPICS! Carlton is a 2 time UPG Heavyweight Champion, and he never lost his Title, he vacated it both times. He is the last ever original UPG HW Champion and holds a record 8-0 undefeated all time in ULTIMATE PROVING GROUNDS.

Carlton had this to say..

"Yeah, I didn't expect to get a call like that, but UPG remembers things..

I explained to UPG management after they approached me that I can still knock anyone out in the world, but I have lost a few lately so it looks like I'm done for. UPG assured me they had full confidence in me, and pushed me to want to fight in the Olympics.

I will win, there is no other option..

I can't disappoint UPG, they gave me the honor of repping the org, and I have to win every single fight.."
