OFFICIAL WKBC Rules/PBP/Update Thread

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, Jay here, some of you have seen me around for some time now and by now you'd know I focus very much on the KT side of the game as I have big passion for Muay Thai and Kickboxing, I compete in real life and love being involved with any form of the sport IRL/gaming etc.

Anyways It's time for me to take WKBC to another level as I have a goal to be the #1 KT org in MMAtycoon. To achieve this I need to up the level of quality my Org runs at, set clear guidelines for divisions aswell as build the best KT roster in the game.

So the current format is all over the show and to be frank, it's a mess.

To begin with changes:

Weight classes will be revamped and strictly set as:

135: Unrestricted

145: 360K ID Restricted - this is due to the current 360k ID super series currently underway

155:345K ID Restricted

170:Unrestricted

185: 345K ID Restricted

205: Unrestricted

265:345K Restricted

265+: Unrestricted

Contracts will be set as:

-Restricted 345k ID contracts: prospect 2/2/2 contender 5/5/5 champion 10/10/10

-Unrestricted contracts: prospect 3/3/3 contender 7/7/7 champion 20/20/20

What defines a Contender: someone who has a positive record in WKBC with more than 3 wins.

Some factors that may affect contracts are: hype/popularity

I will now be recruiting in all of these weight classes.

Next Change is how often do competitors compete and what type of competitions we run:

-At the moment it is kinda all over the show with some fighters fighting 3-4 times a month and others 1-2.

-we will keep the option for those who wish to compete regulary with events every Friday to cater for these.

-The big events will be held on Saturdays with the more hyped fighters while friday will be a cheap quick event to build pop/hype for potential contenders

-Those more serious about training and evolving between each fight can compete every 2-4 weeks or whenever suites them.

-Champions will be expected to defend at least once a month.

-We will do PBP on mini 4 man tournaments in this thread, these will add to fighters accolades and winners of the tournament will be awards title shots

-The Super Series Format will continue if there is enough interest

-These will be implenmented as of 1st July 2020.

So with that said, I am currently looking to hire for help in the following:

-Recruiters

-PBP writers

Now this is an open invitation to all KT fighters looking to challenge themselves against the best and win the title of World Kickboxing Champion, send me a DM or leave a post. Everyone is welcome.

Stay Tuned, for the episode.

-Jay

This is some great stuff right here man. I love that you took the feedback from the other thread that was out there, and used it as constructive and ran with it! Damn, it's hard to find folks who are responsive and listen and objectively sit back and think about stuff. Good go! Now I have to run off and see if I have guys that fit any of those division specifications. Did you do them after researching who might be available in those weight classes, or was it based upon preference? Hopefully there are enough eligible folks out there for each category.

Good luck, great start, way to try to define it!

Thanks man! love the feedback!!!

I choose 345k ID as I have a guy for each of those divisions hehe (my 2 guys are around 347K ID and it's a descent level for great competition before the Elites). I think this revamp will be much more beneficial longterm and hopefully I can attract the big dogs of KT to come shine at WKBC.

It looks like you have a bunch of guys in 205 already, so I don't know if you're going to clear that out to make it 345k ID like you mentioned, or retain those guys for Open. I have this guy, he fits at 205 but could fight up at 265, would probably take a ton of weight gain to get there though. http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=261437

Unfortunately my younger guys don't really fit.

hmmm my 205 roster is currently emply haha, umm you mean 155 I think, most will have to find a new home because the elite will take over fast, but majority of them can move up to 170 if they wish, but my Champ Masada may have his streak run out soon due to the changes as he can't go to 170 and will have to fight the best strikers in the game soon, soo there will be some negatives from this but new stars will be born and they'll be at that next level. same goes for my champ at 265, he won't be able to go to a ID restricted division and will struggle against the cream of the crop aswell. But you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette.

Your guy would be well suited for the new unrestricted 205 division however his only downfall seems to be age, being he is already 42, He wouldn't be able to compete at 265 due to the the ID restriction in place their.

That's right, between the time I went and looked at the details on the divisions and then went to my guys and came back I got them mixed around, 205 and 265. That was my bad.

-Coming up at the end of the month we will be hosting our first ever PPV to cap off the first chapter of WKBC before we more into a new ERA.

-It'll be a bit slow to begin with in July as the rosters will have a big change and som divisions might start of a bit slim, but i'll do my best to make it work out.

-Also sadly due to the changes their are potential chances some of our B class champions will be stripped, these guys will have the option to carry on with us in our unrestricted divisions with an instant title shot for them.

-Finally, we have a PBP writer sorted for the next 2months that will cover a majority of the WKBC events but with his main focus covering the 145 super series final 8 :D

WKBC: Super Series 5 (PREVIEW)

Hello! ladies and gents (although i prefer ladies), how ya'll doing? I hope very good, cause if not, don't you worry as WKBC is back baby, and back with another banger, which i am sure will lift the doom and gloom morale (boring people) of every person watching this event unfold in a few hours time. And therefore, why wait any longer? cause it's almost time, and hence, join me in going through a detailed analysis of every fighter involved in this event below....

FIGHT 1:

Filip "The Croat" Mirkovic vs Anton "The Weirdo" Ibarra (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Wow! what a fight to kick us off! Nah, not really, cause this will most probably be one of the lopsided contests of the entire tournament, as Filip Mirkovic (0-4) [Yeah, let that sink in, 0-4!] #12 in the standings with 0 points [oh and this definitely needs to sink in, 0 points], goes up against Anton Ibarra (3-1) #7 in the standings with 9 points, so yeah, what a fight! . Anyways, now looking at the skillsets of these two, well, tell you what, they are much more evenly matched than i expected. Mirkovic is a Muay thai striker and also a half-decent boxer, who likes to striker his opponents from clinch position and also keep their opponents in close proximity to themselves, cause, that's what Muay thai guys do right? He has also not got the best chin in the business and hence he will need to be very careful if he even wants to win this fights (cause frankly, it does not look to me that he is bothered about the tourney anymore).

His opponents journey in this tournament though, tells a very different story, as Ibarra, who is a very good Muay thai striker and a half decent wrestler, has been on a roll recently, with 2 back to back wins, which has propelled him well up in the standings. He is a guy who prefers to dominate his opponents with constant strikes, rather than produce that one punch KO that will knock his opponent out to la-la land most of the time, but hey, when something is working why change it for more entertainment?

And so after taking a microscopic look at the fighters and their abilities, i think that only one thing can happen in this matchup, which is, Mirkovic loses this fight, and loses it pretty embarrassingly. Unless of course, Ibarra decides not to turn up for the fight, for which, Mirkovic most probably needs to pray in every church possible.

~ PREDICTION ANTON IBARRA WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

FIGHT 2:

Skinny "Tessin" Arse vs Valdeci "THE MILK MOLESTER" Sobrinho Campos (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Well-well-well, look at what we have got in here, "THE MILK MOLESTER" vs the Arse, and tell you what, both these guys have stayed true to their name, with the kind of performances they have put up in the entirity of the tournament, so far, as Skinny has truly been an arse and his record of (0-4) and him being at #13 in the standings with 0 points, just puts cherry on top of my statement. And oh, don't leave our Milk Molester too far behind though, cause he hasn't been much better either. Why do i say this? well, his record is (1-3) and he is currently at #11 in the standings with 2 points (yes two!) that's why! But for now, let's take a closer look at both the competitors.

Skinny Arse is another one of the technical Muay Thai strikers in the tournament who is also a very decent boxer (all in all, a pure standup striker). I don't know much about him (I gotta hold my hands up), but there is a pattern in all of his fights, that is, he starts off dominating every fight that he takes part in, but after a certain point of time, he simply does not do it anymore, which tells me he does not have good conditioning. And also, he certainly doesn't have the best of chins, and hence he get's KO'ed way too easily, and therefore, to win this fight (which he really needs to do), he will have to firstly, defend well, and then pick and choose his time to attack, so that he does not burn himself out early in the fight.

Now his opponent, Sobrinho Campos, is also a Muay thai artist who has got decent boxing skills, but most importantly, he is much the better striker overall (if you compare both of them). He has had a very disappointing campaign in the tournament so far, after coming into this tourney as the 2nd seeded fighter, but hey, who on earth looks at the seeds (not me,,,, ahm, no, not me definitely, i just took a quick peek, now back to the fight). He has this really bad tendency to get KO'ed out cold with one punch or kick way too often, and that really concerns me about him, cause if that trend continues, then even though he may be winning a fight, his opponent knows that he can get Ko'ed very easily, and that is not a good message to send to your opponent. Therefore if he wants to win this fight, he will really need to be really careful of his opponents punches and kicks, so that he doesn't get knock out even though he may be dominating the fight.

So after the analysis of the fighters, i think that this should be a very easy win for Campos, if he does not lose his concentration mid-fight (as usual)

~ PREDICTION: VALDECI SOBRINHO CAMPOS WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 2)

FIGHT 3:

Eduardo "The Mexican Mesochist" Estevez vs "The Brick "Daewoo Lanos (FEATHERWEIGHT [145 LBS])

Okay, so before i start off with the preview of this fight, i want to know the meaning of Mesochist, anybody? Nevermind. So, just praying to be done with the worst performers in the tournament, my prayers got answers, but unfortunately, someone from above, obviously heard my prayers, but in the wrong way. As i do have the best performer (all is well here), but he is the best performer in reverse order (I want to jump off a cliff now). So, in this fight, we got Eduardo Estevez (0-4) #14 in the standings (wait for it, Out of 14! fighters, yeah, stone dead last) vs Daewoo Lanos (1-3) #9 in the standings [respectable position]. We all know what is going to happen in this fight, therefore let's not waste our time and take a look at the two fighters involved.

So, Estevez is a wrestler, who in all honesty, is not good at anything else, other than taking you down whenever he wishes to do so. His style of fighting is something that baffles me, because in each and every one of his fights, he tries to clinch with his opponents, knowing very well, that he does not possess good Muay Thai skills, and hence most of the time, he either get's rocked by his opponents or get's knocked out cold. And therefore, if he has any desire left in him to win this fight, then he needs to utilize his wrestling superiority, and hopefully keep his opponent in the ground long enough for him to get ahead in the judges scorecard, otherwise, i see him suffering yet another loss.

Now his opponent, Lanos, is a Muay thai striker who is also a very decent wrestler (that helps him in defending the takedown attempts from his opponent big time, in this fight). He somehow, has turned into a master of taking every fight that he competes in, into the judges scorecards for a decision. He is a guy, who is a very slow starter, and when i say slow starter, i mean that he generally starts off all his fights at a very slow pace, and does not throw many strikes in the first couple of rounds, but then, he just suddenly turns up the heat in the third round and tries to get the win, but unfortunately, most of the time, he fails to finish his opponents, and hence ends up losing the fight. And therefore, if he wants to win this fight, he will need to be more aggressive at the start of the fight, so that he can keep his opponent at bay for the entire match, and win this fight easily, as we know he has the ability to keep up the aggression level, once he ups the ante.

This fight should be a win for Lanos, unless he get's taken down early and dominated in the ground, cause we know, that if this is a standup match, then there is no way on earth, that lanos loses to Estevez

~ PREDICTION: DAEWOO LANOS WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3) [sIMPLY CAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE KO POWER]

FIGHT 4:
Sagat "Tigerstyle" Petchyindee vs "The Punisher" Purjo Pekka Koistinen (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])
Ok, i really need to be careful before writing anything about this fight, cause the boss (Jay) won't be happy if i try to demane his guy for sure, but hey, lucky me, cause i have finally got 2 fighters who have actually got more wins than losses ( :guitar:) so yeah, great job guys! Anyways, so in this fight, we not only have a difference of skillsets, but also quite possibly a change of tactical approach towards this fight, as both of them have different advantages when it comes to the matchup. Now introducing the two competitors, first up we have Sagat Petchyindee (4-0) #3 in the standings with 10 points and he will go up against Pekka Koistinen (3-1) #4 in the standings with 9 points. Guys, Don't miss this fight cause it's going to be a cracker.
So Sagat is a Muay thai striker with decent level boxing expertise. He is another one of those guys, who like to dominate their opponents for all the 3 rounds rather than just knocking them out cold in the opening minutes of the fight (that is, if he had KO power, but we won't go to that discussion, cause if i do that, i will be fired tomorrow).More often than not, he has been dominating the entirity of the match that he was a part of, and hence, to win this fight, he will look to continue, getting up-close and personal with his opponent in the cage, and just smash the living hell out of his opponent in the clinch.
Now his opponent, Koistinen, is also a very good Muay thai striker (maybe not as good as Sagat) but, the advantage that he will have all throughout the fight, is his much-maligned wrestling skills, where in he is much superior to Sagat. He has also got the ability to dominate his opponents throughout the match, but another bug armor that he has down his sleeve, is that he has genuine KO power, and therefore, if he uses his wrestling and Muay thai cleverly, then he could very well win this match, which he has been very desperate to win for a long time, so that he could move up above his opponent in the rankings.
This will be a very close call, but i would say that Sagat will use his superior Muay Thai to full effect and win this fight.
~ PREDICTION: SAGAT PETCHYINDEE WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)
FIGHT 5:
Jacobo "El Toro Loco" Fonseca vs "The Destroyer" Muhammad Jaraya (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])
Now then, just as i was about to start becoming a lot more positive about the quality of fighters in show, i get thrown back down to earth (as always, and boy he threw me down hard, too.) as in our last fight before we move onto our co-main event and the main event, we get to witness a matchup between Jacobo Fonseca (1-3) #10 in the standings with 2 points vs Muhammad Jaraya (1-3) #8 in the standings with 3 points. I mean, i really don't know how much money their managers paid our organization, to get this fight so high up the order, but i am guessing it's close to the 20k mark. Anyways, i have to do my thing, and hence let's take a look at the fighters involved.
Jacobo Fonseca is a Muay Thai striker who in all honestly, has nothing more to offer. He is a guy, who even with decent abilities and skills, simply gets dominated in most of the fights that he takes part in, and that clearly shows the tactical faults that are in his game along with a very weak chin, that was there for all to see in his previous fight, where he got ko'ed out cold. And therefore, if he wants to win this fight, then i would say, he need to be focused on one thing and one thing only, be more aggressive from the get go, and try to clinch with his opponent at all times and stay close to him to use his Muay thai.
Muhammad Jaraya on the other end, is a guy whose path in the tournament has not really been much better than his opponent, to be honest. Hell, some would say that they are floating in the same boat at this current stage. And tell you what, that statement might not be very wrong, cause even he is a Muay thai striker with some decent Boxing skills, and hence, he will also try to keep this fight in the clinch and try to knock his opponent out to win this fight. But overall, i would say he is the much better fighter in a pure standup fight, and hence i would say that he will most probably win this fight, but not comfortably whatsoever.
After looking at both of them, i would give this one to Muhammad Jaraya, simply because i know he can show that level of aggression which decides a fight, but unfortunately i don't see it in Fonseca.
~ PREDICTION: MUHAMMAD JARAYA WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3) [iT VERY WELL COULD BE A TKO VICTORY]

(CO-MAIN EVENT)

FIGHT 6:

Schmedgar "No Friends" Dimms vs "The Butcher Of Rostov" Andrei Chikatilo (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Now, Co-headlining our event is a fight, from which, we can learn a whole bunch of things surrounding a tournament, that how contrasting styles of fighting, can lead to one of the fighters topping the standings, and the other stuck between the chasing pack. So, this was a contest between Schmedgar Dimms (3-1) #6 in the standings with 9 points vs Andrei Chikalito (3-1) #1 with 14 points. But, the main difference about this fight is the stylistic difference between the two fighters, which will be further discussed below..

So, Dimms is a wrestler who remarkably has legitimate KO power, which was on show in one of his fights. But his main strength is pretty evident for everyone to see i think, which is that he likes to take the fights into a clinch and then very intelligently and technically dominate his opponent, through a barrage of strikes and then use his wrestling skills to keep his opponent backed up against the cage, so that he can't throw any of his own strikes (i gotta say, very good strategy). And so, by doing all this, he will be hoping to win this fight, so that he can close the gap to his opponent and derail the momentum that chikalito has built up in recent weeks.

Now Chikalito though, is a very different animal to his opponent, as he is a pure boxer, who is just interested in one thing and one thing only, and that is, to knock his opponent out or force a referee stoppage, by hook or by crook. Now, as he is a boxer, so he likes to keep his distance and stay on the outside at all times, so that he can find his favourable range and then boss the fight from there, but, he has a bad knack of getting drawn into clinching up with his opponent and then losing the match which was evident in his debut. Therefore, if he wants to win this fight, then he will need to avoid clinching at all cost.

After taking a look at both the fighters, i think that if this fight goes to a clinch, then Dimms will boss this fight, but if it stays as a boxing match, then chikalito should win it (as he has KO power and he is much superior boxer)

~ PREDICTION: SCHMEDGAR DIMMS WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

(MAIN EVENT)

FIGHT 7:

Charlie "Osage" River vs Juan "Eski" Escobar (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Rounding up the Round of 16 for the WBKC 145 World tournament, will be a battle between two undefeated prospects, who are both vying for that no #1 spot in the rankings, which in turn, makes sure that they are in the driving seat to win this whole tournament. So, now introducing the 2 fighters, first up is, Charlie River (4-0) #2 in the standings with 14 points (level with the leader) who will go one on one against Juan Escobar (4-0) #5 in the standings with 9 points. This will be a very tactical affair between these two, cause both of em, pretty much fight in the same way, and hence it will be very interesting to see what happens in this fight, but before we do that, let's take a closer look at both the fighters.

Charlie is a Muay thai striker with decent wrestling skills (you guys have probably heard this from me one too many times today, but hey, i gotta say what i see right?). He knows only one way way of fighting to be honest, and wrestling plays a part in it, but then again, comes no where near it, as his primary fighting style has always been to take the fight into a clinch and then, let the fireworks erupt. He also has legitimate KO power, which is what sometimes bothers some of his opponents, as they know, that he can break the clinch anytime and knock them out, so all in all, he is a beast.

Now his opponent, surprisingly enough, is also a undefeated Muay thai striker who is also a (NOTHING!) cause that is all he knows. He is another guy with legitimate KO power, who likes to take each and every fight of his into a clinch, so that he could use his strength (Muay thai) to full effect and end the fight as the winner. But, i have to mention this, that he is much the superior Muay Thai striker of the two fighters involved in this fight, and hence, it will be more of a tactical battle between the two fighters to decide the winner of this fight. But nonetheless, he would still take the fight into a clinch regardless, as that is what he does (in simple terms).

Now, this one is really a hard one to call, but i will go with the guy higher up in the standings, just due to his sheer aggression, which results in him getting more KO wins.

~ PREDICTION: CHARLIE RIVER WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

So with that, another fantastic event staged by WKBC comes to an end, i hope you guys liked the preview.

And up until next time, stay safe and have a great day!

WKBC: Super Series 5: (REVIEW)

And just like that, i am back again guys (and i won't be surprised if some of you lot would want to kick my ass by now, after the sly digs i had on your fighters, but anyways) with the review of yet another one of the highly anticipated events in WKBC (all of you guys's reaction to my statement= :youwish: :OMG:). Okay-okay now, i know, i might have gone too far with the "highly anticipated" stuff, but hey, this was still a very good event to watch out for. But, tell you what, yesterday, did not really disappoint a lot of people at all, to be honest, as most of the fighters who were expected to win their respective matches (in the pre-match prediction), did indeed end up winning their fights (i am the prediction master! i.e. a genius Lol). And hence, all in all, it ended up being a very good event overall. But, there was a lot of small moments in every fights, which could have very well meant that, the winner of the fight could well have been a the other fighter, and therefore, to see what are all the incidents that transpired in these fights and much more, join me below, and let's get this review started..

FIGHT 1.

Filip "The Croat" Mirkovic vs Anton "The Weirdo" Ibarra (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

The first fight of the evening went about exactly as it was predicted to be, with Ibarra absolutely dominated this one from start to finish, and boy! what a finish it was, hence, let's take a detailed look at the fight to see what are the pointers we can take from this fight about how both the fighters approach their matches.

Round 1: So round 1 started off with, Ibarra straight away being ultra-aggressive in the standup, as he threw some very good punches and also some legkicks to add to it. But then, the move that pretty much sealed the deal for Ibarra, in this round, was that he took the fight into a clinch, off the back of some very good strikes, and never let go. He absolutely bossed the entire fight from there on, as he hit some absolutely devilish body shots as well as crazy amount of head strikes from the clinch position with one of those head stikes rocking Mirkovic and hurting him bad,but credit to Mirkovic here, as he recovered pretty well from that strike after a bit (although, for his sake, he should have acted up that he got KO' ed), and then, after a few more hooks and body shots, round 1 came to a close.

Round 2: Now, round 2 began exactly, as round 1 had, to be honest, with Ibarra throwing a perfect liver shot, which landed right on the money, and that, really set the tone for the rest of the round, as not long after, he took this fight to a clinch once again, and started unloading at Mirkovic with all sorts of strikes (uppercut, hooks, jabs, and what not).He continued his attack on mirkovic until, one of his short shots, snapped mirkovic's head back , and then, Ibarra, sensing blood, threw a massive uppercut, which knocked Mirkovic out cold in the middle of the cage. And thus, with Mirkovic unable to continue, the referee brought an end to the fight.

~ RESULT: ANTON IBARRA WINS VIA TKO ([O MIN 41 SEC] OF ROUND 2)

FIGHT 2.

Valdeci "THE MILK MONSTER" Sobrinho Campos vs Skinny "Tessin" Arse (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

As i said before, i have become quite the master in predicting fights, and that ability of mine (apologies for hyping myself up, but i can't help it, as i have got most of my predictions right for the first time in a while, Lol), was on full show in this fight too, because as predicted, Sobrinho Campos, being the overall better standup fighter that he is, ended up bossing the enirity of the match. But all the major incidents and the takeaways from this fight, will only be known, if you look below. So join me and have a look.

Round 1: Round 1 started off with Sobrinho Campos smashing the living hell out of Arse, with some nasty combination of leg kicks and uppercuts. Then, after that, Arse seemed to get some sort of a grip in the contest, as he then did the one thing he knows best, that is to take this fight into a clinch. But, unfortunately for him, Campos (as said above) was the overall better standup fighter among the two and hence, he just simply broke off the clinch without even so much so as breaking a sweat, and then continued to assert his dominance in the match with some more clinical and precise striking, that had Arse, backtrack for most of the remaining part of the round. But, then again, Arse was never going to go away without a fight, and hence he tried to take this fight into a clinch one more time, but once again, the same thing happened, which was that Campos broke off the clinch easily and continued his striking from a range (i.e Campos became a boxer). And that is how the fight went on, until the ref stopped the fight to signal the end of the first round.

Round 2: Well, since i pretty much gave a long enough description of the fight in round 1, hence i wouldn't say much about round 2, cause frankly speaking, round 2 was nothing more than a instant replay of round 1, with Arse trying his same old tactic of clinching unsuccessfully, and Campos, well, he continued his beatdown and annihilation of Arse. So that is how, round 2 ended.

Round 3. Well, make that 2 instant replays, but, but, but, an incident did indeed take place in this round, as just after Arse had taken this fight to a clinch (once again), he was sliced open via a devilish elbow strike from Campos. But after that, everything was pretty normal, until the end of the fight. Although, i did notice a lot of good head movement from Campos (that i forgot to mention in the previous rounds), which helped him avoid a lot of strikes and in the end win the fight.

~ RESULT: VALDECI SOBRINHO CAMPOS WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

FIGHT 3.

"The Brick" Daewoo Lanos vs Eduardo "The Mexican Masochist" Estevez (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

I will hold my hands up for this one, cause i said it, I SAID IT! that Lanos does not have KO power. But hey, nobody could be correct with everything right?

So, i accept that i was wrong, cause oh my my! Lanos has definitely got some KO power, and that was on full effect in this fight, But to know more about what transpired in the fight (you guys know the drill now), have a look below..

Round 1: So, round 1 of this fight, surprisingly started with Estevez being a lot more aggressive than his opponent in the standup, and actually trying to throw caution to the wind, in hopes of securing a KO, but alas! nothing really happened in that period, other than Lanos blocking some strikes and Estevez swinging wildly and missing with the other strikes. Then, Estevez, shockingly! took this fight into a clinch, and well, when you do dumb things like that, then you will get punished at this level unfortunately. Hence, this fight was no different, as Lanos took complete control of this fight, as soon as it became a Muay Thai contest (as Lanos is clearly the much superior Muay thai fighter), and then never really let his momentum fall, as he started hitting Estevez with all sorts of elbow and knee strikes and also some uppercuts from time to time in the clinch. Then, although Estevez did end up breaking the clinch, but, he soon reengaged in the clinch, and got dominated by Lanos for the rest of the round.

Round 2: Round two, started off, with the same dumb move by Estevez, as he took this fight back into a clinch, and then the usual stuff kicked on once again, as Lanos, once again, started to dominate the fight from the clinch position, as he threw some good combinations as well as some head strikes and punches to the body too, until, a short uppercut, rocked Estevez and gave Lanos, the invitation (that he was looking for) of finishing this match early. Therefore, Lanos wasted no time in upping the level of aggression, and started throwing all kinds of strikes in his armory (i think he pretty much used all of them), and that, bore fruit a short while later, as a stinging uppercut from Lanos, Knocked Estevez down once and for all, which resulted in the referee calling this fight and thus ending it.

~ RESULT: DAEWOO LANOS WINS VIA TKO ([2 MIN 29 SEC] ROUND 2)

FIGHT 4:

"The Punisher" Purjo Pekka Koistinen vs Sagat "Tigerstyle" Petchyindee (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Now, tell you what, i really underestimated Koistinen big time, cause he absolutely bossed this fight from start to finish. What i really loved about Koistinen, was that he backs his own abilities, without worrying too much about his opponents skillsets, and that, is what got him the win in this fight, because, if he would have been concerned about his opponents strengths, then he would never have taken this fight to a clinch (as Koistinen has a much weaker Muay Thai of the two), but that is why we all say that "FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE", and boy did it not favour Koistinen is this fight. But anyways, after all that, let's now take a much detailed look at the fight below...

Round 1: This fight started off with Koistinen, taking this fight into a clinch, and from there on, he just smashed every part in Sagat's body, and continued to do so for the whole of the round. But, we got some more things to be proud of regarding Koistinen, as not only did he punched the living hell out of Sagat in a clinch, but he also, blocked everything (meaning all kinds of strikes from Sagat) that Sagat had to offer in a clinch, which obviously demoralized his opponent to a high extent, and then threw some of his own strikes (knees, lefts and rights, hooks, head punches and what not) in response, and hence with that, round 1 came to a close.

Round 2: If you though round 1 was demoralising for Sagat, well, then round was where you will witness a demoralised Sagat x2, as once again, Koistinen took this fight into a clinch right at the start of the round, and never let go until the final seconds of the round, but that was too little too late from Sagat unfortunately. But unlike the first round, where he did not even try to break off from the clinch, Sagat did try very hard to break the clinch in this round so that he can make this fight a boxing match (so credit to him for changing tactics mid-fight), but unfortunately for him, Koistinen was having none of it, as he continued his onslaught on Sagat for the remaining part of the round with a variety of stikes, until Sagat finally managed to break the clinch, but almost as soon as he did it, the ref signalled for the end of round number 2.

Round 3: By the time round 3 came about, Koistinen's confidence level was at it's peak, and hence, he wanted to try and finish this fight early, so as soon as he got this fight back into a clinch, he unloaded on Sagat once again, but there was one very noticeable difference in his approach to this round, as Koistinen was throwing his strikes with much more venom than before, and hence, when he landed a short right hand to Sagat's head, Sagat got rocked and hurt bad, as his legs became wobbly, and he was all over the place, therefore ,Koistinen, sensing the vulnerabilities of his opponent, went in for the kill and landed a massive "tiger uppercut", on Sagat which was straight out of the street fights, that knocked Sagat out cold, and thus ended the fight in the process.

~ PREDICTION: PURJO PEKKA KOISTINEN WINS VIA TKO ([1 MIN 21 SEC] ROUND 3)

FIGHT 5:

Jacobo "El Toro Loco" Fonseca vs "The Destroyer" Muhammad Jaraya (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Now, this fight, went nothing like how i had imagined it one bit (if i am completely honest), because, as the much weaker overall standup fighter, i simply did not see Fonseca bossing the fight in the clinch, like the way he did. But, we gotta give the man the credit when it's due right, and hence i would say, that was the most intelligent and street-smart type, i have ever seen Fonseca fight, as he was simply brilliant with his decision making on when to attack and when to absorb, and that, ladies and gents, is what got him the result, that he deserved. Hence, let's take a detailed look at the fight below, to see what are the exact, major incidents that took place in this fight, but to do that, have a look below...

Round 1: Round 1 started off with Fonseca, to everyone's disbelief, starting off in ultra-aggressive and ultra-offensive mode, as he threw constant leg kicks on Jaraya, for almost the entire first minute (although not many connected). Then, just after a moment when Jaraya seemingly started to find his range and connect with some good jabs, Fonseca, took this fight into a clinch, and from there on, completely dominated the fight, as he threw some very good strikes (short shot, lefts and rights, hooks, jabs, and most importantly some very good looking body shots) which at the end of the round, came in very handy, as that flurry of strikes in the clinch, meant that Fonseca had very comfortably, won the first round.

Round 2: The story of round 2 though, was very-very different, as right from the start of this round, Jaraya looked in complete control of what he was doing. He suddenly found his range of striking back once again, and therefore as soon as he got his range right, Jaraya started to unload on Fonseca with some outstanding striking on display, that included jabs, hooks, leg kicks, body shots, head punch, and much-much more. All this continued for the majority of this round, until Fonseca sid enough is enough and took this fight back into a clinch. From there on, Fonseca did come back strong in the round, but unfortunately for him, the damage had already been done. And hence, when the ref signalled the end of the round, i don't think even Fonseca himself would have had any problem with the judges giving the round to Jaraya.

Round 3: This match, was a roller coaster of an affair, between the two fighters, as the balance of the match shifted from one fighter to the other in almost every round, and therefore continuing that particular trend, Fonseca took back control of this fight once again, as he clinched with Jaraya right at the start of the final round, and from there on, only one guy looked like winning this fight (my honest opinion), and that was Fonseca, because as soon as he turned this fight back into a Muay Thai contest, then once again, he started to dominate the fight with a flurry of strikes on his opponent. But credit to Jaraya though, as he managed to break the clinch and get some good strikes of his own, in on Fonseca for a brief period of time, but then again, Fonseca got the clinch back in, and started to smash Jaraya once again. And with that, the fight came to a close, with Fonseca deservedly winning this bout on pure heart (to come back from losing round 2) and performance.

(CO-MAIN EVENT)

FIGHT 6:

Schmedgar "No Friends" Dimms vs "The Butcher Of Rostov" Andrei Chikatilo (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

And it's time to praise my predicting skills once again, cause tell you what, this fight, went exactly as i had said so in the preview, because from the moment this fight went into a clinch, Chikatilo had no answer to Dimms's striking and aggression, which in the end, resulted in a performance, that Chikatilo would definitely not want to remember for a long time, whatsoever. But on the other end, Dimms, will want to remember, as well as repeat this performance, over and over and over again! So now, let's take a closer look at what exactly happened in this fight, for you guys to understand, why i am so happy about my predictions that i had made pre-fight.

But to do that, take a look below...

Now for this fight, rounds 1, 2 and 3, played out more or less, or better yet, exactly the same way, and hence, i would be putting all the important incidents and moments from the fight in a single paragraph, as making 3 paragraphs of repeated sentences would really not sound good.

Round 1,2,3: So this fight, started off with Dimms pretty much straight away, taking this fight into a clinch, and from there on, he just simply did not let go. He then started working on the head and the body of Chikatilo with some precision, as he pretty much nailed most of his strikes from that clinch to absolute perfection. But, the most eye-catching stuff that Dimms did do in the entirity of that fight, is that he controlled Chikatilo throughout the 3 rounds using his much superior wrestling skills, as every time Chikatilo would look to break free, Dimms would just shut the door by squeezing him up against the cage, and also throw a massive amount of strikes, be it uppercuts, body punches, head strikes, or whatever. This was everything that happened in round 1, but, round 2 and 3 was just like watching the same movie on repeat mode, as other than a few nasty body shots from Dimms, which seemed to crack chikatilo, there was nothing different that happened in round 2. And as far as round 3 is concerned, well, something different did happen, but it was all a little too late, as after a stinging hook from Dimms, Chikatilo did look slightly hurt, and therefore Dimms, in the dying seconds of the fight, did indeed try to look for a finish, but alas! he ran out of time and the fight came to a close with Dimms, deservedly winning the bout and winning it pretty comfortably in the end.

(MAIN EVENT)

FIGHT 7:

Charlie "Osage" River vs Juan "Eski" Escobar (FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT [145 LBS])

Now the main event of the evening, did indeed pan out exactly the way it was supposed to if i completely honest, cause we all knew, that River was always going to be much better in the clinch, as he has decent wrestling skills to combine with his much inferior Muay Thai (when compared to his opponent), which when combined together, makes him a very a formidable fighter when the matchups goes into a clinch, as he can control the opponent with his wrestling and hurt his opponent with his Muay Thai striking. And as far as his opponent is concerned, well, Escobar did indeed have the better Muay Thai and boxing skills overall, and hence, he dominated this fight, as soon as it became a boxing match (that was expected too), but to everyone's surprise, got dominated in a clinch, even though he is the much better Muay Thai fighter. Therefore, to know how all that unfolded in this fight, take a look below..

Round 1: This fight started off with both the fighters going hammer and tons, trying to get an early stoppage through various types of strikes and kicks and punches, with no real results in the end. But, the complexity of this match changed completely, as soon as River took this fight into a clinch, as it was clearly evident, Escobar did not really want to stay in that position, and hence, he put all his focus on breaking free from that clinch (which never happened), whereas River continued his onslaught and flurry of strikes in the clinch, which continued for the rest of the round, resulting in River getting an easy round under his belt.

Round 2: The following round was not much different either, as we could easily see that whenever the match turned into a boxing match, with both fighters striking from range, then Escobar was bossing it, but then when this fight went into a clinch, which happened again after a short while in the second round, Escobar had no answer to the striking of River. So, that is how round 2 also came to a close, with River getting another round under his belt (pretty much confirming his win, if the fight went into the judges hand).

Round 3: The final round was an absolute treat for all the supporters watching the fight, cause both of them simply let loose in this round, with both River and Escobar throwing caution to the wind, in search of the win and KO finish, and also blocking and ducking a lot of strikes thrown by their opponent too (this is an important thing too, so we can't ignore this), which in the end, resulted in both of them getting very tired towards the end of the round and hence, they became content too see it out, and let the judges decide the fight. And therefore, with that, this fight came to a close, with River deservedly declared the winner.

~ RESULT: CHARLIE RIVER WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

So with that, our roundup of all the matches which took place in this great event comes to a end.

I hope you guys enjoyed the review, and until next time, stay safe, and have a great day!

WKBC: Grandis Eventus

Most of the times, us writers, might say some words like a "fantastic event", "Epic matchup", without really feeling like they are epic and fantastic. But,this time, i really am 100% saying the truth, and saying it with all my heart, when i tell you all, that in the KT world, we can't, WE CAN'T! get to see a better event than this, if i am completely honest.I mean, what doesn't this event have?! because it certainly has title fights galore (4 of em to be exact), it has no #1 contender matchups (i can't keep a count, sorry guys, i am terrible at mathematics), it has grudge matches left right and centre, and hence, we can come to the conclusion that it has everything, that the MMA fanatics all around the world, beg to see in every card that they pay their hard earned money to watch. Therefore, we can already expect this one to be one of the events to remember for a long-long time, if you are into KT. Now, i know i have bored you to death already, so let's get straight into the preview for tonight's event...

(UNDERCARD BOUTS)

Now then, when you hear the term undercard, then there will be many people in the crowd going, Nah! i don't really wanna see this, cause i want the big matches in the Main Card, but, tell you what, if you go with this mindset into the event, as a fan, then get this very clear, that you will be missing out on some of the huge matches that are set up for us in the undercard, and i say that because, we very well know, that if this was a normal event, then most if not all of these undercard bouts, would have been easily in the main card, and therefore, i would repeat once again, these are matches that you do not want to be missing out on, cause even the Undercards tonight, are epic matches. So, let's take a detailed look at them..

1. Jed "Jedi" Knight vs Bang Pitung (MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT [185 LBS])

So, starting us off in this historic event for WKBC, is going to be a match between two strikers and two very-very equally matched warhorses (if you simply go by the primary skill statistics of both), who will be coming into this matchup full of confidence and self-belief, because ironically, both the fighters are coming into this fight, off the back of 3 successive victories. Now this fight, may be looking like it will be a very close fight between the two and that it might just go to the judges, but, i have a way of showing you all that, the balance of the fight might change (I am not saying that it will not be close fight), And the reason for me saying that, is because although, Jed is a very experienced professional fighter, but he has been a MMA fighter for most part of his life, before becoming a pure Kickboxer, very recently, where as Pitung, is one of the most experienced Kickboxers in the game and has been one of the best for a long-long time (currently no #3 in the Middleweight fighter in the game), and therefore, i think in a very close matchup, like this fight, the experience levels will turn out to be the major difference in one guy winning and the other guy losing. I could be proved wrong (which has happened a lot recently), but only time will tell, won't it? So let's wait for this, which is sure to be a very exciting match to watch.

~ PREDICTION: BANG PITUNG WINS VIA UNANIMOUS DECISION (ROUND 3)

2. Tyga "T-Rawww" Laxx vs Maya Chig (MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT [185 LBS])

Next up in our list, is a matchup between two for MMA champions turned Kickboxers, who have had very illustrious careers up to date, Lags more so than Chigg, as he is the current WKBC 205 LBS CHAMPION (Although i gotta admit, i don't know how he is the champ, because there is no active 205LBS division in WKBC, anyways). Now, these two veterans of the game, are pretty similar, when it comes to experience levels as a kickboxer, and also their skillsets as a striker, although Laxx has a slight advantage in his boxing ability, but tell you what, age wise, these two are at a very different stage of their respective careers, as Lax is just 33 years old, and is most probably at the peak of his athletic capabilities, where as Chigg, is now 44 years young, and is now going through a decline in terms of his abilities and skills needed to compete at a high level. These two, have been in the game long enough to tell others that they have nothing to prove to anybody (and that is true), but still, both of them will be equally desperate to win this fight so that they can have the bragging rights over each other and also get one step closer to entering the rankings. But, Maya Chigg knows that he is very close to the end of his career, and hence, he will be even more desperate to win this fight, so that he can show his doubters, that he is still capable of performing, and putting in a great show, at the highest level.

~ PREDICTION: TYGA LAXX WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 3)

3. Henryk " Rex" Tymonowicz vs Iosefa "The Road Roller" Umaga (SUPER-HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT [265+ LBS])

Next up, is a bout between a Muay thai striker and a boxer, which, in all honesty, is the one fight, that you might think, Mhmm, should this fight be this high up the order (even in a undercard)? Because don't get me wrong , i mean no disrespect to both the athletes, and they are very good fighters in their own right, Hell! Iosefa was one of the most dominant Heavyweight fighters in the entire MMA part of the community, but, they have never really tested themselves against the very best 265+ lbs KT fighters that they had in offer, hence, i simply don't think, we should label either of these fighters as good Kickboxers, by just simply looking at their achievements and their records as a MMA fighter, as they have not got that stage of their KT career just yet. But nonetheless, this match is sure to be a very fun fight to watch, cause maybe, just maybe, both these guys might end up getting fired up for this one after listening to my Preview, and just their hands loose, without thinking about the consequences. But then again, both of them will be desperate to win this fight, so that they, can continue their steady climb up the ladder towards the top #10 rankings in the division, so i don't really think they will be that naive to just let loose from the get go.

~ PREDICTION: IOSEFA UMAGA WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 2)

4. Sigi "Doomsday" Pesalelei vs David "Tuaminator" Tua (HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT [265 LBS])

Now then, this is where the real excitement and the buzz about this mega event truly shows up, because, in this match (match 4 of the undercard, Yes, UNDERCARD!) we have a bout between two recent title challengers for the Heavyweight throne, with one in them (David Tua) also, being a former WKBC 265 LBS champion. So huys, i just have one question for you lot, that is where else, would you find a match between two of the top title contenders, which is fought in a undercard, other than WKBC? Nowhere! is the answer. But anyways, getting back to the fight, well, i expect this fight to be a lopsided win, for Pesalelei (my honest opinion), because when you look at the skills of both the fighters in a standup, then there absolutely no match between the two competitors, as David, is a much, and i mean MUCH! weaker Muay thai striker, when compared to Sigi, and hence, as this is a KT match, i would just expect Sigi to use his superior skills, and get this fight into a clinch and finish his opponent as soon as possible, so that he can get straight back to winning ways, and also get back in the hunt for the title, after losing his first shot at it on his previous fight. But, David Tua on the other end, would also look to somehow get a win in this fight, so that he can get himself back in the conversation for the no #1 contender for the title, and who knows, maybe get another title shot too (you gotta hope for the best).

~ PREDICTION: SIGI PESALELEI WINS VIA TKO (ROUND 1)

5. Mark "glass hands" Steve vs Lorenzo Turturro (SUPER-HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT [265+ LBS])

So, rounding off our undercard for tonight is a matchup between a former MMA great in Mark Steve (champions at multiple organizations as a Light Heavyweight), who is looking to make a name for himself in KT now, And he will go up against a former WKBC 265+ lbs champion, in Turturro, who after having started his career so positively, has just simply lost all self belief and self-confidence in himself, and hence, is desperately trying to get himself back to the level of those glory days. Now, remember the thing i said about experience becoming a factor in fight, well, that is definitely going to be in full effect in this fight as although steve has a slight advantage in terms of overall skills, Turturro has an even bigger advantage heading into this fight, as he has got way more experience as a kT fighter than Steve, and hence, those things could very well turn out to be a reason for one of these guys to lose this hugely important fight. But, both of them will still be desperate to win going into this fight, so that they can first of all, go above their opponent, and then most probably, become the no #1 contender to the title.

This one will be extra important for Steve though, because he would want to bounce back from that disappointing defeat in his previous fight, and therefore if he loses another one, then his position as one of the top title contenders, could be in serious jeopardy.
